Logs
Out for a day of Caching on my own there is not many days left until my ankle surgery which will stop me caching for a few months maybe until next year. but today was great I found all I was looking for. To the CO. Thank you for placing the caches and maintaining them.
Out caching around the lake on first day of Spring. After a delicious lunch at the bowlo is was off for a walk across the bridge. Cache found and signed. TFTC
Went out geo hunting and this was our first one of the day, bridge was a little shaky especially with the trucks passing but we had heaps of fun with this one and we ended up finding both new and old cache! We signed the log added some swaps & stickers tftf ?
Coordinates changed from:S 33 5.082 E 151 30.039Coordinates changed to:S 33 5.088 E 151 30.037Distance from original: 37.9 feet or 11.6 meters.Repositioned to suit.
FYI - It seems that a few geocachers have been accidentally finding and logging an old archived cache (2010-2014) in the same spot as this one. I have inadvertently removed this old cache and replaced with a fresh container as per the co ordinates. I will endeavour to retrieve my original container which may still be located close by. Happy hunting.
Coordinates changed from:S 33 5.073 E 151 30.043Coordinates changed to:S 33 5.082 E 151 30.039Distance from original: 58.5 feet or 17.8 meters.A new cache container and new averaged co-ords. It seemed a real shame to have to replace this as the container had a lovely patina to it after 4 years of life in the outdoors.
Found it! Yes dont go by the gps. Go more by the hint. Unfortunately the lid fell off and we couldnt reach it to put back on, so sorry! Lucky in a well protected position
Found at 9:23 AM GAFF3 at a distance of 22 metres!Gosh - if it wasn't for the hint we would never have found this cache - the co-ords are way out! Looking at past logs there have been a lot of comments that the co-ords are out.A very busy bridge with lots of rumbling and a train or two passing. Thanks to FireBlade800
CO needs to alter the co-ords as they are 22 metres out.The co-ords that I recorded are S33 05.083 E151 30.036
Found not far from where my gps was telling me so took a little bit of looking. A muggle crossing spotted me kneeling and looking before I spotted him, but luckily I was was in work gear and he assumed I was checking the integrity of the bridge. TFTC
Given the metallic surroundings, my phones GPS was way off by 25 metres so keep persevering for a little success. SLTNLN with TBs Canadian Flag, Pittiplatsc, Corona Express Cruise Ship, Bierkrug and USA Bear in tow.
Found this one on the 1/12/23 and forgot to log after getting some prawns Dora creek. It was more towards the actual middle of the bridge.TFTC
Divided and added and found the centre. Grat location such an old bridge. Tftc
Was good fun, I felt defeat when realising possible places but the clue was really helpful. Thanks Geo
Find #17783ferrets actually found this one as I didnt quite reach the middle before starting my search. The cache was about 20m off for me. Shouldve listened to the hint not the compass Container in good condition. Log book dry. TFTCSL Thanks for placing FireBlade800 lovely spot and no trains for us today.
Found this one today our GPS had us 20 m away from the GZ. Snatched it in the end and signed log. Thanks for the hide.
Thank you! That one was a bit of fun to find while surrounded by cars and trains, very clever spot!
We are staying nearby, so after a morning in the car while the family were relaxing, I made the walk down the road to this cache. Must admit, the frieght train that crossed above me as I walked under the bridge to the stairs freaked me out a bit! It was still going once I reached the top, train one side, cars and trucks the other of my footpath! Sort of cool though, and with the hint cache was easily and quickly located. Nice location though despite the odd feeling of the huge train initially, thanks for the cache!
(5 of 6 today)Headed up to the central coast for this afternoon's caches. Thought I'd attack a few OZ Geomuster hides I still had to snaffle. No problems with the targeted hides. A pleasant autumn afternoon.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Just catching up with a few unlogged finds from earlier this year. My apologies - it is in no way a reflection on the caches not logged. It's not you, it's me!###END OF ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###Easy find.SLTNLNTFTC
Out on a sunny Sunday drive and stopped to grab this cache on our way. A quick find exactly where it said it would be. TFTC
Find No: 8741. Came down to watch Kotara bowling at Dora Creek Workers Club (and have their wonderful $10 Chinese lunch, Mongolian Beef with Fried Rice for me), thanks for the cache FireBlade800!!
TFTC. A nice quick find on a lovely warm day. I haven’t been to Dora Creek in ages. A lovely part of the world.
Found It!
I found the cache about 20m to the south of where the GPS was taking me. Which is where the hint suggested it should be.

One of the previous logs led me straight to it. Thanks for bringing me to this unusual bridge - TFTC!
I don’t think it’s there anymore unless it’s in the street but I couldn’t get it open
We made a quick stop on the way home to grab this to continue working towards our streak challenge goal.
Thanks to the hint we found the correct stairs and made it to GZ. While Mum panicked about the toddler and Dad was distracted the eldest son made the find.
Thanks for the Cache.

Found today with my Dad while cruising around the area finding trigs! Cool little cache

We were cruising around the western lake area today chasing trig points, and noted this one as we headed out to Eraring, so stopped on the way back. Thanks for the helpful hint, the cache is in good condition. TFTC!

The mark is a little off but found it easy after walking up a bit! Count the poles
We are staying at Morrisett for a couple of days visiting our grand daughter then it's off to Dubbo for morefamily visits.
Always time to do a couple of caches while in the area. We did a variety of types of cache types & hides tody in some great locations.
The 1st find of the morning, made the walk out to the middle. Very quiet along here today.
Thankyou FireBlade800 for placing this cache.

Did not find it. We looked everywhere! We were wondering if it was thrown out since it was in an eclipse container and there have been recent building development occurring at this area...
Search long and, what we thought, thoroughly, for this one, but with no success. Reading the previous logs, including the information that the coordinates were out, we realised that we may have been on the wrong level, but the hot temperatures were not inviting for a further search.
Quick check on the cache. All in good order and back in place after it had moved slightly. Cache on!
TFTC,
In the area for a few days and needed fuel before heading up the mountains today. Decided to start our day here thinking it would be quick and easy. Not to be as the coordinates were a bit out however after spreading our search to agree with the hint we soon had cache in hand and were on our way.

Staying around here, we came here to top up on fuel, before venturing into the mountains for the day. It wasn't a quick find searched GZ then read the hint and previous logs, soon moved on Wazza9 asked me to check the area he was searching , I soon noticed something unusal, retrieved stamped the log and replaced. Thanks to FireBlade800
So much fun. We almost gave up but the kids were delighted when we found it
