The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 2 and we had an absolute blast. After being up late last night we backed it up again this morning with an early start to make the most of the cooler weather and lack of muggles in the morning cold. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed the large number of virtuals, and caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some of the oldest caches in Australia, some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WAC (WA Crew)

Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers GLISS!! Big GrinJoin us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!

Now that it is getting dark early, these urban caches are quite useful. I did bring a torch.
There was water in the cache, but the logbook only has a hint og dampness because it's protected by the bag.

Hope I didn't scare the muggle too much when I stwpped out of the bushes.

Out today to do the whole of section 4 of the CCT. Started off well and was collecting a lot of caches. However, I did get a bit carried away and before you know it is 8pm. Had to quickly ride home to be in time for dinner. I did have a really good time though and picked up 20 caches on the way and rode over 55km. Good day. TFTC!

To fulfil the various challenges I have set myself, today I required at least 5 caches one of which needed to be a multi and another a mystery. Well I have done that and now I am making up to the numbers with trads. This was one of them and I really enjoyed the short walk and quick find at GZ though there were a few walkers out early before the heat set in. TFTC Gliss! TNLN SL as SG

Another week has come to an end, so I headed out after a day at work to get out in the beautiful spring afternoon. I did not have plans to do too much caching, but that stretched to five for the afternoon.

A short walk down from the listed parking spot took me to a quickly found cache near the path. A nice find.

Thanks for the cache GLISS!

21,647. Found during a meander around Canberra today.

After my (our) first find this morning I dropped minniek at work then headed off to do a few more as well as some domestics. I saw these two and decided to try for them. Found a convenient park in Crisp Circuit to do both of them. After a short walk I was at #1 for a quick find. Signed, returned, then headed off to the next one.

Cache 6202 on 4 Jun 2020.

I wanted to grab a couple of caches today to top up my numbers for 4 June, but had a few meeting and personal commitments to work around. So after a 2 hour video meeting, I figured I was owed a few minutes freedom and a short walk to get the blood moving again. I decided to target this cache and it’s sister as they were close together and close to home. Both found in accordance with the hint.

Thanks GLISS! for the cache and the fun!

Found with [@Decrypter](http://coord.info/PR75QXD). We headed to GZ on foot but as the traffic was light we didn't need to use the underpass. Once at GZ we soon had CIH. Log stamped/signed and all replaced and we headed back, spending some time looking at land-care plantings and various fungi. All up we walked 4.5km. TFTC.

Delta Response Team had bought himself a new torch that he wanted to try out and he knows Aquilus1 and I don't mind a bit of night caching.

After finding a couple of other caches on the Pinnacle we decided to come down here to this one as well. It was only a 5min drive and this late at night there wasn't much car or foot traffic around to be disturbed when finding this cache. A quick sign of the log and back to the cars and home to bed. Nice spot. Tftc GLISS!!!!

19-May-20
After meeting up with Delta Response Team and dty73 up at the pinnacle for a late night walk to a few caches we then made our way towards this one. So many new caches out everywhere the last few days so need to make a start on collecting a few. So, #1 here hey? looks like I might be back around this ways again soon?! Thanks for the cache GLISS!.

Picked up a new torch recently and was keep to test it out so teamed up with DTY73 and Aquilus1 for a short night stroll.

After picking up a couple in the pinnacle we decided this one would be a nice quick way to round out the night. Quick easy find after finding some parking (which was almost harder than the cache)

Found with Geokids 2 and 3

Took the geokids out for the day, some quality time in the sun and fresh air. First up it was to the green waste dump on Parkwood Road. The fresh air level wasn't so much to the kids liking, and they ended up staying in the geomobile. Green waste dumped it was a quick drive to 'Old Belconnen Sewage Treatment Plant'. The name said it all, the kids again not too excited about the smell, but at least we don't live across the road from it. A good run and climb around the area before a bit of squinting through the fence and GZ was calculated. A quick find before bounding back to the geomobile.

Over to the Pinnacle Reserve for a few newly published caches, great they again being published. Both 'The Pinnacle - close to the top' and 'The Pinnacle Nature Reserve' found without issue, and a good opportunity for the boys to really stretch out and have some fun. Climbing over fallen trees, clambering over the rocks, that's what it's all about.

Lunch time, so to the closest bakery for some sausage rolls before dropping in on Geonanna for a surprise visit (and to use her tomato sauce). A nice chat about things and a good catchup after recent lockdown requirements. Family duties completed it was onto the next cache, 'Belconnen on foot #1'. Another quick find, just hope the neighbours don't get spooked with future night time attempts.

A short drive next to 'Australian Animals Series #82 - Australian Magpie', parking on the side of the road and walking across the paddocks down towards the river. Geokids were excited but cautious passing under the electric fence, a good lesson to be learnt here. Don't believe it was active, the long grass touching the wire trick didn't indicate a charge. One day they will find out how it feels to be zapped, but not today. Made it riverside and it was quickly obvious where the cache should be. Geokids remained at ground level throwing rocks into the river whilst I made the climb. Treading carefully on the initial level of debris, it was a moderately difficult climb up. Spotted the cache half way up, it was eventually a balanced sign and replace. Back down, threw a few more rocks into the river, then onto the next tree climb, 'Challenge Cache -Traditional Cache #2'.

Had read some exciting logs about this one, and wasn't disappointed once I got there. Definitely not one the for the geokids, so left them at the top of the hill, again, throwing rocks down towards the river. Investigated the best way forward before stepping across onto a broken branch from the crumbling cliff face. A few skilful manoeuvres and I was into a position where I could reach the cache. Balancing on the branch I managed to retrieve the log, sign and replace. No issues returning to terra firma. A note to all who follow, if you are concerned with the effects of gravity, at all, this one may not be for you.

Back up the hill where we watched some sky writing, 'Taiwan Can Help'. Back across the paddock, under the electric fence and into the awaiting geomobile for the warm and comfortable drive home. TNLNSL TFTC

*FTF* with Loci612. Was lucky to be in the area as we were having a guess as to where most of the new caches would be published. Found very easily. TFTC

*FTF* with Cankid and Flintstone's

Myself and Cankid were chatting in our geo-mobile only down the road from this cache, by pure chance! When we saw the caches get published and I opened up the map, I noticed this was only a couple km's away! So we headed off and parked in the suburb nearby.

Strolled on over and after searching for about 1-2 minutes the right tree was eventually found and the cache uncovered.

As I was signing the log Cankid noticed someone parking on the main road and running over! It was Flintstone's! I was just putting the log back in the container so told him to join the FTF crew as we hastily left for the next caches on the hit-list.

Thanks GLISS!
