I had not applied the offset, but quickly spotted what was pointed to with the hint. Anything to avoid math. TFTC!

15-Jun-24
I had a plan to get some caches with a fellow cacher but due to illness that didnt happen. The littlest Turmoil was accounted for so I wanted to get the bigger Turmoil out of the house, getting some sunshine and exercise. I had a few target caches to get in Redcliffe and this Witches Hat series I have been working on for years. Some are now yellow smiles. Some are blue frowns. Some I havent even looked for yet and others I have not yet been able to solve the puzzle and will either need help or become more skilled in that area.As far as puzzles go, this was definitely one I could do.

Easy find, not so easy to get log out of cache lol!! Tftc!

My muggle hubby wanted to take his new toy (e-skateboard) out for a run so I suggested we head over to Clontarf for coffee and I thought maybe I could find a few sneaky caches that I had solved some time back. While he was on the E-SB, I was on my E-Scooter. I could race ahead and make the find before he reached me. Hmm, not always the case as some were harder to find than I expected. I found your cache, Witch's Hat 11 today. This is my 3046 find. After applying the offset, this made for a quick find. Signed as SR66 to save room in the log sheet.Gcoven, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF

Nice easy find for our first of the year. Dropped the geo kid off early and now off for a wander and a bbq breakfast. TFTC

A quick find here

03-Dec-23
I had 20 Witchs Hat caches that I had solved on my list for today but only found 5. Some I had looked for previously but today, at most places, it was too busy and I sometimes didnt try. I had decided to come to the Redcliffe Peninsula as it would be cooler but half of Brisbane had the same idea. Next time I will visit in winter on a rainy day! I had been here twice before and had seen it but it was always busy and the cache was just out of reach. So today I came prepared with a tott but didnt need it as it was within reach. Yay, as it was still very busy. Tftc

This was my second attempt & I found it nowhere near where I was searching last time (now I understand the hint - hindsight is wonderful). Keeping an eye on a van parked nearby I was able to retrieve & replace the cache undetected. Log signed TFTC

We solved this Witch series a long time ago at home. We needed help with some of the mysteries - THANK YOU.Today we went for a nice bike ride along the promenade. We started in Clontarf Beach. Our search often took a long time - we couldn't find many caches. We'll be back.....Thank you for this GeoArtTeam sissifalke

Check the hint before attempting this one.At GZ there was nothing obvious that stood out, so checking hint gave me updated coords. And the critic clue was also much appreciated.A quick find once in the right location.Teeny tiny log. TFTC! All good here.

We're out picking up a few more of the Witch's Hat series that we've actually managed to solve before we leave the area next week. Luckily M is a little taller than me so he did the retrieve and return.

Quick find due to great hint and applying offset. Have had a lovely day with the CO replacing and checking caches in this great geo art series. Only have a few to go until finished but will come again. Thanks for placing and maintaining these great caches.

Out and about to get some more smilies. Found this one with TBUBikesu. Tftc

20-May-22
My plan today was to get 3 Multies and this formerly not found Witch hat.

2 Multies were successfully done, so we were optimistic.

Unfortunately there was nothing to find where the earlier coords took us. We contacted CO to confirm ours, and got a reply (thank you): it's written in the hints.... Some more work to do and off we walked.

Found the container and signed the log.

Managed to solve a few more of the puzzles in this series and now that the rain had finally stopped it was time to find them. Pleased we read the hint, so with the offset applied the cache was soon in hand. Signed log "db 1-3" to save space. TFTC Gcoven Smile

Patrol14 and I have been invited to join GCoven on a maintenance run today… with limited time we’re on a mission… I think this has to be the easiest way to cache… with the CO and a bag full of replacement caches…

Cache was definitely missing and has today been replaced….

There was a bit of back and forth to try and get the log to sit in the container properly… that included more than one tool from the multi tool… once done we were back to the comfort of the air conditioning…

Thanks to the CO for an entertaining morning zooming around the peninsular…

My fourth DNF along here today…

Even with the offset, and I’m confident I was in the right place thanks to the hint, but failed to spot the cache…

A drive over to Redcliffe to meet up with a work colleague and I soon found I had a little time to do some caching. Those witch’s hat caches have been sitting and I hate leaving a geo art unfinished. I started at number 1 and completed a new multi in the same area at same time. Raced over to find #11 and #17 before I had to head off to be home.

I have been to this one several times and each time it has either been missing or moved. Today I was so happy to find the cache and turn a dnf into a lovely little smiley face. I had to use a little piece of local debris to reach the cache. With the log signed and cache returned to its hide I was off to one more in the area. Thank you for the hides.

10-Sep-21
After a hint from a fellow geocacher we came back here to convert this into a happy face. Must have had cache blindness last time!!! Getting it down was easy. Needed the back of the Ute to replace it!! Thanks Gcoven for the puzzle and the cache.

20-Aug-21
This evening, whilst completing some errands north of the city, I thought I would continue my drive to Woody Point whilst targeting a multi-cache for today's calendar day. It was also an opportunity to avenge a few DNFs that I had accumulated in the area.

I had previously visited this location back on 26/04/2021 when it had been confirmed that the cache was missing, but it had been recently replaced by the CO and back in play. I realised that a subsequent step was required as per the hint, and performed the arithmetic whilst I was still inside my car and away from the strong winds and gale that was blowing outside. A short walk from my car was only needed, and I made the quick find in a logical hiding spot! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Gcoven for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

16-Jul-21
Even after applying the offset and taking note of the hint we had no luck with this one today. Thanks Gcoven for the series and the cache. Thanks Gcoven for the series and the cache.

09-Jul-21
A quick detour to this one as Swearah and I were heading home. Swearah had already located this one but little did we know that it had been relocated since then. Updated the coords as per the info and headed over to GZ. Now I don’t think I’m vertically challenged (Swearah is a whole other story) but I still couldn’t reach this! Had to grab a suitable TOTT from the car to make the grab. After the signing was done, getting it back was a little more difficult. Nailed it though! TFTC!

04-Jun-21
Was missing again so now relocated. Observe hint for offset.

12-May-21
Gone missing again. Will need a few days to replace

09-May-21
Absolutely no way of looking for this one today. Just too many muggles and a bunched set up right next to GZ. With previous DNA’s I’m not convinced it is there anyway.

26-Apr-21
No luck for us today!

26-Apr-21
Today, with the forecasted nice sunny weather, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took our bikes and travelled to the Redcliffe peninsula, and rode around the bay. We targeted the *Witch's Hat* series, making our way across the bridge, and rode around Clontarf and Woody Point. We enjoyed a fish and chips lunch break, and returned back to the car just after lunch. We had a few errands to complete during our return home, and stopped at a few final geocaches.

We continued our bike ride and stopped off at this geocache. We searched around GZ, but given the limited hiding spots that this cache could be, we deduced that this geocache may be missing once again, unfortunately. Thanks Gcoven for the cache placement.

06-Apr-21
After attending the Mega and knocking off the Dark Side, 65 Roses, Horses, Pac-Man, Geosaurus and I️Geo series I hunted witches and challenges today.

With the string of DNFs I didn’t attempt this one given how successful I’ve been today.

Thanks Gcoven for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

Despite recent owner maintenance and searching around the base of tree , the cache stayed out of our sight. Will come back once found.

Out today grabbing a few more puzzles and finds. This was a nice quick find which I took away to sign and returned to where I found it. Thanks Gcoven. All good with this cache and puzzle.

Grab this replacement while travelling thru the area. Plenty of mutts n muggles most of “witch” will be paddling later today. Thanks Gcoven for setting up this series.

Lots of muggles out and about today but everyone was busy doing their own thing. Still pretended to tie my shoelace just in case.

Way too many muggles at nearby picnic tables to have a proper search. It must have been the Humpybong chapter of the senior citizens club about 50 of them but by the noise coming from there they probably weren’t taking much notice of me. Will return at a quieter time which I think would have to be at dawn!

25-Nov-20
Replaced here. May have to consider moving it! Happy muggle kid spot perhaps!

22-Nov-20
What is with this series?? Another DNF.

There were muggles around but I still had a good search.

Gods damn it! He’s made it into the back of the Opera House. So many narrow stairs and doors to nowhere it’s going to take all night to find him.

Loving my early finishes on Fridays. After picking up Mr Curious Quest, we headed off to find some caches. I have solved the witches hat series but not been in the area to find them, so we decided to make a start on them today. This one was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC

Out and about with Selva Girls to pick up some caches today. After finding a nearby cache, we came to this cache. It was quickly located and we were soon adding our names to the log. TFTC

26-Sep-20
Think this might have taken a walk. We couldn’t find it in the obvious spot.

22-Sep-20
I had a free day today so 1Minnemoo and I headed out here to find some puzzles.
We started at one end and then went to the other end, we only found about half of them and had a few Dnfs, but we had fun, got some sun and fresh air and 20 finds.
We were worried about parking being available here but we got one very close to the cache and found the cache after only a few seconds of searching.

22/9/20 Find #4122
Wombles and co and I decided to head to this one next then change our direction afterwards. Knowing how busy this spot can get, I wasn’t 100% sure we’d get somewhere to park, however we were lucky here today. We wandered over and began the search, under fresh ground cover. And soon uncovered what we were after. I parked my backside on top of it to grab and sign the cache, then up I hopped and we were off in the direction of a cold drink, a bite to eat, and some more witches.
Thanks for the cache Gcoven.

19-Sep-20
With over 500 solved but unfound SEQ puzzles I decided Skyline Pigeon and I should start knocking a few of them off. We needed caches that are stroller accessible and also public transport accessible, so this series is ideal. Muggle central here. TFTC

19-Sep-20
I found this cache with Zacgyver. TFTC

10-Sep-20
Another enjoyable day with caching buddies DisSister and La Kedi. It would appear a large group of senior citizens meet here for morning tea each Thursday however the GZ is reasonably out of line of sight thank goodness. Our last visit here proved unsuccessful with the cache actually missing but all was good this time around. TFTC

10-Sep-20
Another revisit to find a cache that was missing on our last attempt. This time was a speedy success.TFTC Gcoven

10-Sep-20
I rather enjoyed the view from ground zero here, and the plethora of seagulls that were waiting for the large group of senior citizens to share their morning tea with them. Quite a few cyclists and pedestrians using the path despite the cool, windy and overcast day. The Marble found this cache as we very gently and discreetly searched the object in question.
TFTC, Gcoven. =^.^=

05-Sep-20
This was my second visit and I had no trouble locating the cache today so I don't understand why I'm so blind some days. I've heard about that problem they call Cache Blindness. Signed log and replaced as found. TFTC

28-Aug-20
Lovely afternoon cruising around the general area - taking in the winter sunshine (perfect!) and generally enjoying life outside of my home office prison. This one was not too difficult to solve. I was a bit unsure whether I was at the right GZ, but with a bit of digging through the mulch I was able to find the hidden treasure. Signed my name and rehid as best I could, and then bounded off for the next (lab) cache. Great spot here and I paused for a while to simply enjoy the views. Bliss.

TFTC and TB visits
Getting closer to finishing the hat! Wahoo

26-Aug-20
Out with DreamerSkye to collect my smiley for the day. So many muggles about here nearly didn’t get a car park. Reaching GZ it only took a second to have the beasty in hand.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache Gcoven Big Grin

23-Aug-20
I’d set myself a personal goal of finding 600 caches today. However a curve ball was thrown after a fantastic drinks night with 4ando yesterday evening and I had to realistically revise our goal down to 60 caches. When I eventually rolled out of bed I was greeted with a mountain of ironing so I once again revised the total down to 30 caches. Just as I was about to make a start my daughter told me the new series of Lucifer had been released on Netflix. I made the sensible decision to refine the target down to 6 caches after watching a few episodes.

So we set about trying to find 6 caches. This was our second find of the day and we had noticed that our previous DNF could be avenged. It’s definitely a busy area and I can understand these witch caches are going to take a fair bit of maintenance. Trust me, I understand. I spend an inordinate amount of time waxing my sack in the name of manscaping.

Thankfully the coast was clear for us to dig out the cache and we did the revenge dance. A revenge dance is just like the Macarena except done by two uncoordinated hopeless people. tftc

23-Aug-20
We are staying a few days in Scarborough looking for some of the caches in this series. We had a nudge solving just a few of the puzzles which was appreciated and some we have not solved as yet. We found this cache out in the open. Signed the log and replaced as per the hint and covered with natural cameo. Thanks Gcoven.

17-Aug-20
There were significant number of senior citizens enjoying morning tea not far from GZ. Fortunately for me, they were far more interested in the scones jam and cream than what I was doing. Log signed, and cache returned under cover as requested. It’s a gorgeous day today!

14-Aug-20
Today I'm taking a ride around Redcliffe with T-Tech and teamdfl to collect this series of caches, plus a few extra Wink teamdfl has done most of the work of solving, and I added a few last night. We met up at Crockatt Park, and set off at 9am and were back at the cars not long after 5pm, having ridden about 30kms, with a haul for me of 37 smileys, 2 DNFs and 1 DNS (did not stop!)

I think this one was the easiest puzzle of all, with the right tech in hand of course! A quick find for the start of the day. TFTC, Gcoven.

14-Aug-20
Out for a Saturday caching bike ride with TeamDFL and IolantheK [^]
We went South, we went North, and in the end did about 28Kms over 7 or so hours (including a couple of refreshment breaks) [^]

Out again today hunting some Witches. In the company of T-Tech and IolantheK to distract the muggles. Smile

A nice easy puzzle with the right technology.

This one was AWOL last time I visited. A nice quick find to get us underway this morning.

10-Aug-20
Replaced BOT of same tree as fence removed

01-Aug-20
This tale of woe and misery was a great way to end our day - not! We spent a bit of time looking for a fence and so when we didn’t see any made a PAF. We were in the right area and were told to look behind the fence. When it became clear the fence has recently been removed we sent through a photo to 4ando with the question, “Is this it?”. Their response was “that used to be it”.

We thought it was strange the bark on the ground was in a square shape and so rummaged through the corners and edges in case it had magically survived but found nothing of interest. The evil Council of warlocks might have stolen this one. Thanks anyway

30-Jul-20
Out with DisSister today for a morning's caching. As I am logging this some time after our day out I now know why we couldn't find it. We will be back!

30-Jul-20
No joy here either today. Feeling a bit blind. Nothing here or even made the clue make sense.

15-Jul-20
Today I decided to go for a few hours bike ride to find more witches..

The puzzle was solved quickly and the cache located easily. Not too busy on a weekday morning either.

TFTC and series.

***COs- still trying to catch up on my significant logging backlog. It started as a series of unfortunate events in 2019 and went from there.
????+????=????????

I was initially trying to log sequentially but have misplaced an SD card that held things up so now it's a haphazard affair and progress is being made.

Logging your cache on the day I visited it, not the day I'm logging on so it could be a few years back.***

hatzofff has been bailed out of hospital for the day and is taking in the sea breeze in company with RoddyC, Snickersallan, patrol14 and DiamondJs. We had a nice walk/roll along here to find what we could before hatzofff had to be back at hospital.

Today for me was my first day out of hospital (day release) after 10 weeks in hospital. Now in my wheelchair my caching angels, Snickersallan, Patrol14, Diamond is, Echocache1 and RoddyC, took me from cache to cache. Great day out in the fresh air.

We had solved most puzzles before the day now to add the smiles.

Out for the day with RoddyC, hatzoff, Snickersallan, DiamonJs and echocage1 for a fun day finding Witch's Hat caches. The puzzles were quite interesting and certainly had me scratching my head a few times.

Most of the finds were quickly found but needed a PAF on a few.

Thanks for bringing me here, lovely scenery and a beautiful day as well.

Meet up with geo friends, patrol14, DiamonJs, echocage1, hatzofff and RoddyC for a really fun day with beautiful weather and great scenery. Enjoyed all the puzzles in this geoart, needed a few PAF's on some but overall a nice spread of different types made me get stuck into them quicker than most others I've started. Apologies to the CO for the generic logs but if I don't I'll procrastinate and not log them in a timely manner.

Another good hide and a quick find by the group.
