Was on a loop hike over at Melville’s lookout and spotted a cache on the map, totally in the opposite direction but I wanted to find it. Been on a cache’ing hiatus, thought this was be a great on to start again with and it’s now lead me to go up Mt Black. There is a look track right near by. So thanks for the cache and adding a few more KM’s to my hike.

Staying in Heathcote for a few days and decided today would be a caching day. It turned out to be quite a solid day so just as sell i began very early Venturing a bit further afield now to clean up a few caches that are scattered about An interesting drive along very deserted roads TFTC imohalloran

Quite a few bush tracks, some puddles, an emu and brushes with bushes to get here, only to find a tree across the road! Luckily the cache was only a few steps from where we stopped! SL at 2.49pm TNLN - and we won’t be going in pursuit of Derringer’s cache at the top of Mt Black today! Lots of thunder rolling around us and probably some rain before we get out of this Rushworth Forest. #8298 TFTC lmohalloran

Easy to get, but hidden enough to be fun. Great location. So peaceful.

Derringer seems to have a reputation amongst the cachers that go seeking a cache with a bit of adventure behind it. A "gotta catch 'em all" kind of cacher.
Out adventure today brings us back to the Heathcote-Graytown National Park for a bit of walking and some caching.
Drove in to GZ and did a drive by on the cache.
A nice quick and easy find.

Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.

Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??

Thanks lmohalloran (F=887 H=2) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

From Whroo way,
I followed the soggy trails through the forests to reach this out of the way spot Smile
Where a cache was quickly tracked down Big Grin

All good with this hide.
Not much point heading for the waterfall though.
There hasn't been 'nuff rain to get them flowin' Razz

TFTC and detour off the beaten track [^]

Found on a crazy day's mission with Cybergran V.
Having completed a D5/T5 cache earlier in the day, we were still in the mood for doing impossible things.

I brought her here to conquer her nemesis cache.
Not this one, she got 2TF on this one.....that one...... way up there.
This time she is sitting in a real 4×4.
Wish us luck.

TFTC Imohalloran. I too am a fan of Derringer hides since the first one I found of his. It was an old archived cache at a lookout just below Mt Buller Village called One Step Back.
I will never forget it.

Cache and contents found clean and dry and returned in good condition using current covid safe practices.

Muggle Hubby wanted to escape isolation and suggested the Whipstick Forest, I told him there was one much closer
This is my old territory, I attended the Wirrate State School.
Thanks for placing a much easier cache to obtain than Dark Panorama my nemesis cache.
After finding the cache Muggle Hubby fired up the little portable gas cooker and made us hot jaffles for lunch.
A lovely day for a picnic.
