Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying in Wauchope for a few days. We headed to Port Macquarie today and we must thank DiMorgan for fixing the weather, today was great, not too hot, NO rain, gentle breeze, what more could we ask forWay too many caches here for us to tackle. Picked up a few as we toured Port Macquarie being our first visit here. Lots of crafty caches and so many fave point dished out today. Answers sent to CO. This area was crazy busy today. We had to visit twice as we couldn't get parking on our first visit. TFTC Tatt2squared
On a 10 day road trip and this was one of the spots we stopped love the light house and the views Sent answers to co Thanks for the Earth Cache.
Visited the Lighthouse today while there is no rain. Unfortunately there were also no whales to be seen. Spotted North Brother, picture taken and answers sent. Enjoyed the story of the mountains and enjoyed a nice scenic drive of the area. Tftc
Day 25 of our roadtrip in Australia. We're leaving the Hunter Valley now to follow the final leg of our trip towards the Brisbane region along the coast. Next port of call is Port Macquarie, as usual we'll stop along the way at interesting places. Parking was impossible, so we did that further up the road and walked here. Awesome views of the waves crashing against the rocks. We enjoyed it! Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
Any time I can do an earthcache that allows me to be near the ocean, I am happy! I was born and raised in Rhode Island in the U.S. which right by the ocean. It speaks to my heart. Answers have been sent to the CO. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:I was visiting from the U.S. and had a goal of driving all the way up the east coast starting in Melbourne and ending in Port Douglas over a few weeks. This day started in Byron Bay and ended in Brisbane. The distance was doable and I didn't load my list with caches. It was a good day. Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, so I do appreciate you.

Anders sent separately. Weather was foggy but were up from the blueys for a weekend if basketball and thought we would fill in some spare time with finding some caches around the lighthouse. have visited one( middle) of the 3 brothers years ago so was good to look back from a different perspective. Shame about the clouds!! Tftc ps Im in the very corner
Answers sentWe are on a motorbike trip and we decided to ride out to see the lighthouse. I was in Port Macquarie many years ago fondly remember riding out to these mountains with a great friend whose parents lived here. I always learn something when answering these earthcaches so I was happy to do this one. The mountains were hazy due to a lot of smoke, and sadly, my poor photography skills in the attached photo

Tftc. Not the best day to see the view, no mountain in site. Still good to learn about the formation of the 3 brothers with red_ear_slider
It was so windy up there today - I looked at the whales and dolphins, enjoyed the 3 brothers and then got back in the car
We are on our long-awaited journey around the world in 99 days. Second try after canceling in 2020.
Our fourth stop after Los Angeles, Hawaii and New Zealand is Australia.
This time was of course used to find some geocaches here.
Today we visited the lighthouse and were searching for the Earthcache **The Three Brothers**
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Tatt2squared for creating this Earthcache!

Thanks Tatt2squared for the effort on this EC, the weather wasn't real hospitable when we visited the lighthouse and the brothers barley visible. Answers have been submitted.
We were here today on our NSW coast leg of our ‘Around Australia’ trip.
We set off back at the start of 2021 expecting to go around Australia in 12 months - here we are still going in 2023 with about 1/3 of the island left to lap.
My (Geo Mum) personal Favourite experience: Too many to choose, Finding Gold and Opal high up there, working on a CQ cattle station was awesome too.
Favourite location: Gibb River Road/ Kimberley closely followed by Nhulunbuy/ Arnhem Land.
Best paid activity: Horizontal falls
Best free activity: Kings Canyon Rim Walk, Matt Wright putting us up for free in one of his helicopters was pretty awesome. (Let’s not talk about his current situation )
Most interesting location. Arnhem Land
What you have learnt: I wish I had something insightful to put in here, if I though really hard about it perhaps I do but I gues the most practical things I learnt are: Mango sap burns, midges are xxxx’s and dog beds are a versatile alternative to real furniture.
Miss the most: Family & Friends, closely followed by my garden and my chooks.
Look forward to the most: The Whitsundays
Regrets? Worrying so much and not heading off years ago!

*Sorry for the copy and paste log but I’m notorious for getting behind with logs and fluffing them up

Always happy to find an EC in a beautiful location
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.
Tatt2squared, I found The Three Brothers today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

A break in the weather this afternoon meant we could cache and get less wet.... The brothers have been the location for a bunch of great days out for us, except South Brother (yet). It was cool to check them out from here, even if they were barely visible! TFTC!

Took some time while up at the lighthouse with the young cacher and managed to get this one finished
Completed on a windy wet day with laura001994. Loved reading about the mountains I’ve visited regularly.
Thanks for bringing me here and learning more about The Three Brothers.

Found 2:45 pm always a scenic area to visit. This time might as well do some caching. Answers were sent. Surf was up a bit and a number of people were up on the lighthouse area watching (for) whales in the distance. I did see a spout a bit later on. Interesting read. A popular topic since there are other caches that reference the topic. Picture added here.

holidaying from Adelaide, geograndies at school, so of course one has to cache.... thanks Tatt2squared for taking time to make us stop for a while and take note.

A very belated logging of this one for find 497 for the tribe, although our visit to the region was way back in January.
In my younger more stupid days, once I rode a bike from central Port Macquarie to North Brother, up North Brother to the summit and then back to Port Macquarie again. Gosh what an effort. No way I would ever do that now! But what a lovely mountain to head up and spend some time on. Particularly nice on a cloudy day when the summit is shrouded in mist.
View is from Cape Hawke in Forster but pointing the other direction. Answers and pics sent through to the CO.

We spent the day in Port Macquarie and also had time to find a couple of caches. We also attempted this EC and really enjoyed the views from the platform. It was a little windy here, but we were still able to enjoy a wonderful day. Thanks for placing this EC here for us to find.

Thanks for the Earthcache. I was here in January and visiting the area. It was a very windy day and overcast but still enjoyable. We stood for ages looking at the dolphins playing in the ocean.
Tatt2squared thanks for putting together this earth cache. Such a beautiful spot. Love knowing a bit about the history of the place. Have been to Port Macquarie a few times before but never to the lighthouse. Such a cute lighthouse.
Ventured up to the lighthouse after being n the beach down below with the dogs and grabbed a quick photo trying to not get drenched in the process. Weather had turned to showers - hence leaving the beach.
This is usually a lovely spot when we come up and the view is pretty amazing.
Cant see the mountains in my image I took on the day, but they are out there somewhere. Found an older one of the kids looking up towards one of the mountains from Laurieton.

Stopped for breakfast here on the drive home from Christmas at the grandparents. It had been pouring with rain for the past two hours of driving but fortune smiled on us and the blue skies appeared when we hit Port Macquarie. Great spot for a break. The kids were keen for a swim but both beaches had some pretty gnarly waves so we looked around the lighthouse, ate some sandwiches and headed off.

Thanks for the Earthcache an he inspiration to make this stop. It is all too easy to miss these spots now the the bypasses are all in place.

We headed down to Tacking Point to watch the sunset, which was spectacular. It allowed a different view of the mountains in the distance, also visible from our holiday house. Will definitely need to visit them one day TFTEC

Getting in just before the end of Earthcache weekend! Thankfully this one was nearby. Can proudly say I’ve been to the top of all 3 Brother mountains now, although I’ll never be returning to the summit of South Brother again!! Thanks for an interesting earthcache. I knew the mountains had significant indigenous history and the YouTube video in your information was great at explaining their story.
Offered a spare seat on a roadtrip with The Rats and Wilbert67 to the Dayboro Mega, jumped at the chance to accept, and together with Steeba (who flew up), we joined forces to become “the Gong Gang” over the Easter weekend. Aside from the rain and threats of last minute border restrictions, it turned into 2500km of fun, finds and adventures. Thanks to the Gang for the invite, company and shared solves/searches and all the COs for the smiley opportunities. Apologies for the generic log (unless further comments required) but we got through a LOT!!
Last time I visited this headland a few years ago, I was approached by a guy wanting to “kiss a stranger” Today the locals on walks around the lighthouse were also “friendly” but thankfully just to chat about caching when they saw my t-shirt and knew there was a hide nearby (logged that a few years ago). Today it was all about the EC even though the required Info Board we thought we needed was the only one missing. Hopefully answers sourced from elsewhere are suitable for the CO. Answers sent and photo uploaded.

Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Three:
The third day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
Up bright and early in Port Macquarie, we didn't get any caches here the night before so spent a small amount of time getting some interesting ones in the area before heading north. We were due to stay the night in Casino, NSW, our last night before heading over the border!
A long day today, our first and last cache finds were exactly 12 hours apart! Some of which was in pouring rain, but a great day!
---
This Cache:
Incredible location! Loved this spot, the lighthouse nearby was very well maintained and quite cute! We also got lucky with a rainbow over the Three Brothers while we visited, it had been raining but there was a small break in the weather! We spent a while working out the answers, which buhfuhguh noted down and will send off to the CO.
Many thanks for bringing us here!

Found this cache as part of our Easter long-weekend road trip to the Dayboro mega event. A great adventure and plenty of finds, teamed up with Wilbert, Mizmaz and steeba for this roadtrip.
Many of our logs are signed with "Gong gang" to represent all four of us who were present. Apologise for the boiler style log.
This was one of our first stops and one of the caches we had earmarked to do. I'm guessing the info sign at GZ is now gone. Answers sent to CO

And here we are. It is 2022, and after moving my life half the world away to Australia, discovering that Geocaching there without my friends was not as fun, generally trying to survive Australian fauna and flora and finding a job, only doing Geocaching on occasion during 2019, and then the pandemic hitting in 2020 and putting almost a complete halt to all traveling and finding, plus finally coming back to Europe to try and redo my life here this year… I have decided to sit down and log online all of the records I had gathered offline during these years. Some are lost forever (don’t trust your phone for years on end with offline logs), but hopefully I will manage to recover enough logs to paint a few broad strokes of what these years were, and the places they took me to.
Apologies in advance to all owners for this (in some cases, very) delayed logging. I can only say that sometimes we are not in the best place, and it takes time to find oneself. Thanks in advance for the hides, the places you took me to, and the stories you shared in the way.
-----
Seeing how the pandemic seems to be spiking, we decide to stay within NSW for our Xmas holidays. But as we have not gone anywhere in almost a year, we decide to take a roadtrip and get to the furthest place possible within the state (yup, northwest corner). On the way, we go through mining towns, Broken Hill, Opal towns, Celtic towns, Casino... all the way north to Byron Bay and the border with Queensland, as we hoped to cross over to Brisbane to see a friend we had not been able to visit since all of this started.
Due to the crazy raining, flash floods and a spike in the pandemic and border closures, our trip has to go through a few changes, but we end up doing enough kilometers to have travelled from the west coast of Canada to the east coast of Canada, and all within NSW!
Now on our way south, still more rain and floods, almost home now!

Hi there Tatt2squared.
We found your cache **"The Three Brothers"** at 12:47:50 PM today. (This makes our find count 25194).
Today we cached around Port MAcquarie and found 3 caches in a variety of container types and sizes (& DNF'd 1). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Visiting family for the weekend, and went shopping in town this morning, I decided to stop and enjoy the view here on the way through. I couldn't help but notice there were unfound GCA trig point, virtual, and history caches all here as well as this GC EC. Okay, so these were the only reason I came here. Hahaha.
Lovely spot. Bit windy, hazy, and chopped up water. Still enjoyed the views though. Love the blue paint highlights on the lighthouse too.
I hope you enjoy my answer #3.

This turns out to be one of my Milestone caches, my planned millstone was disrupted by Covid as it was to be in the Artic circle in North Alaska. Not the one planning for but a good one never the less. Interesting facts around the brothers, and was interested in the story of how they were formed. nice views and a few things out in the ocean today. thanks for the cache. answers sent to CO.
We decided this morning to head into Port caching for the day. We started off with one of the ALs and walked to the rainforest centre for lunch then up to the lighthouse. Not looking forward to the walk back to the car.I originally came up looking for a new house and found the area I want to buy. There is a storm over the brother this afternoon. Great spot. Thankyou muchly. Any chance of a lift?
Found with the help of Mrs BillHill, doing some caching around the Port Macquarie area where we are staying for 3 nights. Answers sent and approved by CO. I'm glad I could visit this spot.

Cache number 2690 at 3:18:00 PM on Thu 22Oct2020
I detoured here on our way to Port Macquarie today so that I could earn this year's International Earthcache Day souvenir. There weren't that many people at the lighthouse while I was there and I was lucky enough to be able to get a parking spot right where I could take the required photo. A beautiful day to take in the view of the Brothers.
Thanks for creating this earthcache Tatt2squared, and for your OK to log it as a find.

Lucky to have an earthcache close to home for the souvenir up for grabs this weekend. Very busy here today, we were lucky to get a parking spot. Answers sent.
Thanks for the cache

A great place to visit, we have visited North Brother a number of times, climbed most of the way up South Brother but yet to visit Middle Brother.

What a beautiful location for an earthcache... something GZ and The Three Brothers have in common. The scenery is stunning but then... we got whales! They were putting on a brilliant show and were doing a top job of distracting us from the earthcache. We eventually got what we needed for the cache and have since done some reading for the rest. TFTC Tatt2squared, fav from us.

This is one of our favourite locations in Port Macquarie, always a must to take visitors who are visiting.
We have been up to Lighthouse a number of times since this EC was published but never stopped to get what was required to complete this one. Once HQ had mentioned a souvenir was becoming available this weekend I knew it would be the perfect time to do it.
We were rewarded with one of the best displays by passing whales, they were completly out of the water & having a whale of a time.
FP given, thanks Tatt2squared for placing this EC.
See geono's photo which they have attached.

Nice to have an Earthcache so close to home. Answers sent via message centre. Always great views from any lighthouse.
My first earth cache!!
Answers sent to CO. Loved the lighthouse and views across the bay. Thanks for setting up this cache here. Excuse the squinty look... it was quite windy. It was quite hazy across the bay to the 3 brothers but you can see one in the distance.

Very windy and smokey/hazy when we visited so hope The Brothers appear in the background. Thanks for the EC.

Every trip to Port Macquarie has the obligatory visit to this pretty lighthouse. Today we came here to view the building (which seems to have been restored a bit since our last visit), and to spend a bit of time on the beach. Alas, because of the very rough surf today, swimming here was prohibited.
The visit gave me a chance to find a cache or two, including this EarthCache.
Answers have been sent to the CO. Fingers crossed that my efforts were successful.

After what has felt like an eternity, we are finally taking our first geocaching road trip since Clear Waters in Canberra with Crzymelly, TeamPQS and HubbyandMrs.
Such a windy day here in Port today. We attempted to locate the nearby Traditional, but were unlucky to find it. So why not grab the EarthCache here. With the photo taken (North Brother was hidden in the mist/rain) we grabbed an ice cream before heading back to dry ground.

We look down on the lighthouse and GZ from our kitchen window and deck and have been a little while getting to this find. It’s a great spot to which we often walk. We’ve been up North Brother more times than we can count and Middle Brother several times doing bushwalking. South Brother I went to once and I don’t intend to go there again. I’ll give it a favourite because we like the spot so much and an EarthCache there is long overdue. Thanks very much for setting up this one here. TFTC Tatt2squared. Found 22/8/20 4:20 pm. Cache 1851 for us.

Another opportunity to visit the second most beautiful views of PMQ and what a stunning winters day it was! The Three Brothers have always fascinated us and we have made multiple trips to the peaks of all three - although p-pprass is in no hurry to revisit South Brother [xx(]
Thanks Tatt2squared.

A glorious day to drive and wander around Port with Mrs Garbageman and the baby geokid while Poppa has the other two for the day. Amazing to sneak in a lunch date!
Lovely views up here. I’ve had the pleasure of being on top of all 3 brothers through geocaching. That South one is a real effort but so rewarding - every time we drive past, I reflect on that hike!
Thanks for another chance to reflect. Mrs Garbageman did the photo honours today as the little man had the grumps and I was on Daddy duty with him.

We did this cache on the last day of our holiday in Port Macquarie. Great job TFTC
I found lots of caches on a roadtrip holiday up to Byron Bay. Over the course of the week, I targeted a variety of caches that worked towards different statistic-based goals. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their contributions to this fantastic recreational activity.

Doing the Coastal Walk today and passed by this Earth cache. Great view from here and we had chuckles listening to the whale spotter chastise the skipper about not wanting to get the passengers wet. "They're on the bloody ocean to see whales, they don't care if they get a bit wet!" Answers sent, logging in anticipation of the OK from the CO.
I've attatched a photo of myself getting up close and personal with South Brother.
Thanks Tatt2squared
