It wasn’t too far from our first but still lead us to a great experience and a new place to hang out!
Heading north to attend the Townsville MEGA and caching along the way, our group Tour de Ville was TMZ59, Patrol14, Peppa and I . We took a while to find this one but after a bit of circling around GZ the cache finally was discovered. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
On our walk out to the spit today, we stopped to look for this one.
A little bit of searching and we soon had our name added to the log on this beautiful walking path.
Our GPS had us wandering around for awhile, but in the end we found it very close to the original coordinates.
Thanks Cache Quest [AZ]

Day 3 of our Tour de Ville… having overnighted in Mackay we’re heading to Townsville…
Again, TMZ59 is at the wheel of the Habanero Sport, Patrol14 is up front and I’m having to constantly apologise to Imbunda in the back about covering her shirt in my milk…
We had a list two days ago… it lasted one cache before we started to detour… with some time to spare before we needed to be on the road, a new list was made for Mackay (pronounced Mackey)…
Found thanks to the persistence and determination of the Domsky duo…
Log signed as Tour de Ville… tftc…

As we venture north to Townsville for the Mega, with Team de Ville (Imbunda, Peppa, patrol14 and myself). A bit wet today. Thanks again to the Domsky duo for helping us with this one. Logged as Team de Ville. TFTC.
Took a little bit, but found it, believe it has been moved by about a metre from original due to an imprint in the ground nearby but left where I found it TCFC
Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for any generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, Cache Quest [ZA].

Day 22 and the start of our return road trip home from Townsville to the Gold Coast with hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and RoddyC.
We did a detour off the highway as we had targeted a few caches in this area which we ran out of time to do on our previous visit whilst heading north. Lovely place to walk along, even though it was a hot day it was still very pleasant.
Nice and quick find for the team here today.

Nice walk with the dogs, nice sized cache. Thanks for bringing us here!
One day I’m going to get to the end of this spit walk but for now this is as far as the geokids will tolerate. I love curlews and how they materialise out of nothing at night with their ghostly call. TFTC Cache Quest [ZA]

After coming home from an afternoon drive with the family, I thought I would catch up on some caching work.
Submitted a Community Event and check to see if another cache had been published.
My search revealed this cache and after downloading it to my trusty Garmin, I hit the road.
Upon reaching the closest parking spot, I headed out on foot.
There is no straight forward way to reach GZ but I made it after some bush bashing.
Found the container and quickly checked the log to see it I was first.
All good to claim the FTF.
SL and took the trackable.
As is my tradition, I give all my FTF's a fav point.
Thanks CacheQuest for this new hide.
