There is one very wealthy white house - wow. Lovely walking and seeing the massive view of our Australian area's east ocean.
I was attending the Wynnum/Manly Eisteddfod today and with a big break between items I ducked out to grab a few caches and AdLabs in the area. Elina_maree had been telling me about this place so I came to check it out.I got to the corner and when I realised I was at the wrong elevation I took a walk up and around. There was lots to see between searching the wall for animals, checking out the fancy houses and admiring the views. At GZ the cache was quickly found and the log signed. Thanks for placing this cache and showing me this spot MMEandK!
I remember coming here on a school excursion many, many years ago now. I was a local back then. My family had a farewell lunch today for my cousins (before they depart to the States for 6+ months), at the Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club. Then I dragged my 80 year-old-parents and cousins (who joined up to geocaching as hakkilgi) down to find the creatures in the wall and, of course, the cache! Successfully found a kangaroo, emu, goanna and horseshoe. No human faces or boomerangs which, according to Wikipedia do exist. Love this place & what a view!
Headed over to the southside of Brisbane to catch up with a friend who is back in town for the week. First headed out to Scribbly Gum Parkrun and then breakfast. Now its time to cache befor heading home.I found your cache, The Great Rock Wall of Manly today. This is my 3036 find.Quick find.MMEandK, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Visiting from Adelaide so of course I have to open THE map.. geo granddaughter had sharper eyes for the find. Tftc
I was passing through the area with some spare time and decided to visit this one. A quick find at GZ. All in good order. Thanks for the cache. Cheers
Wanting to continue my geocaching streak, I came out to Manly to find a couple of caches before the forecast rain. I had hoped to avenge a nearby DNF cache which had recently been replaced but I still couldnt find it. As it was starting to storm, earlier than I had expected, I made a quick dash to this cache and luckily found it straight away - coordinates were spot on. Signed log and then made the long wet drive home to the western suburbs. A very impressive wall from below but not much of a view for me today. Tftc
MMEandK I found your cache The Great Rock Wall of Manly on 29/11/2023, 12:45pm. This is my find 6258 and find # 3 today. No problems locating this cache, great views. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
It is always nice to learn something about history and this was one of those places. An amazing wall that gave the kids and I a lot to talk about as we circumnavigated it. Found a dead snake and a dead lorikeet on our walk - plus two live lorikeets setting up a nest. A very pleasant walk and lovely views from the top. TFTC.
I was in the area and wanted to get a quick cache. Then discovered that this one has a historical significance. If I ever drove past this wall, I would not have given it any thought. Now, thanks to this cache, it has a story and history in my thoughts. Was on the low road at first, which is where you need to be to appreciate the wall before heading off to find the cache.
What an interesting piece of local history. Thanks for drawing us here on a quiet moody Saturday. Definitely worth walking around. Tftc
Maintenance visit.
Replaced cache and provided new log.
Thanks to those cachers who provided notes on cache status.
GAME ON!

Hmmm, just had to read then follow hint. Log is full, and not sure if there is supposed to be a back on container? TFTC
When you see the name for this cache it does make you think but found in reasonable time. Thanks for bringing me to this interesting piece of geology as well.
On the south side this afternoon chasing down some specific caches to complete a challenge cache on the north. Found and signed. On a tight time frame to squeeze in the five additional caches with the appropriate attributes for feb.
Cheers

I headed down to Brisbane today from Toowoomba to pick up my parents from the airport after their Antartica adventure (so jealous!). I took the opportunity to pick up a few caches that fit the monthly attribute challenge. Wow…Great view. The log is pretty full log but I found a spare spot to squeeze my name. TFTC MMEandK

Took the new car Missi for a spin and wound up in Manly. Figured a good time to nab this cache as it ticks a challenge box for me.
Thanks MMEandK for entertaining me at this location.

Out and about caching today for a few caches. As I decided not to go to the Great Wall of China, this was the next best, The Great Wall of Manly. After driving around to find a spot where to park, I was soon walking to GZ (about 100m from where I parked. Spotted the cache and signed the log. TFTC MMEandK
Had no idea this wall was here but it’s pretty cool! Couldn’t find the animals but quickly found the cache! Tftc
Attending Christmas part at Manly Boat Harbour Club, and had some time to kill, so what better than geocaching! Wall was an interesting feature and once at tight elevation coordinates spot on. TFTC
We looked and we looked, were just about to give up and realised we were focussing on the wrong type of container. Opened our minds, started looking again and there it was. Great hide. Tftc
Although I’ve been sailing from out of Manly for many years, I haven’t ever explored the area and discovered this fabulous wall so thank you for bringing me here. It is quite the wall! Thanks MMEandK
When reading the name of this cache I was filled with dread but was very happy to discover an easy find. Impressive wall indeed. With great views. TFTC
Heading down to Manly today for a weekend of boating with some good mates, and I found I was a bit early. A quick look and I figured I had time to collect two Bayside caches this morning.
A good family friend used to live above this wall, and I have recollections of summer afternoons as a young kid playing up there whilst the BBQ was cooking. The house has been demolished now unfortunately.
Found without problem. Thanks MMEandK

The current future mrs. Dabricksean and I are in Brisbane visiting my family. We decided to take advantage of the beautiful Sunday weather and go to the manly markets. Interesting markets with alot of alternative medicine. My favourite was definite the sound therapy + acupuncture tent. Someone was inside getting treatment where all you heard was the sound of grunting and shooshing, similar to how you would soothe a baby. Dunno how effective it would be?
Anyway a nice cache in a interesting part of the town with a good backstory. Nicely hidden even after the disappointment of having to walk up the hill!!!

Out and about caching with swearah today. I managed to spot this cache pretty quickly. I do love a cache with a view, tftc MMEandK ️
Jodsta83 found this while I was fluffing around (as usual haha). Great view!
Thanks for the cache, MMEandK

Took longer than it should have but found it in the end . Lovely cloudy morning overlooking the harbour. TFTC
No golf today because of the bucket load of rain we had over night. So thought how about a geocache or two, and there won’t be too many muggle’s about. And there weren’t.
Took the high road. Never been here before. Great views.
Found the right pile.
Stamped log and replaced. Log still dry even after all that rain.

I was in the area for parkrun and this cache had a certain attribute I was chasing.
It’s a pretty impressive wall on a suburban street. If you get the right level it’s a quick find. All good here, tftc MMEandK

The stars aligned today for nikid1 & I to have a caching day together & a plan was hatched for a visit to the southside to target some particular caches & then whatever else we liked the look of. This was our first for the day & seeing as I was navigator we circumnavigated the wall a couple of times before deciding on the best place to park which made for a quick find once we exited the car. Love this wall & the history behind it, will have to return to search for the animals another day.
Thanks for the cache MMEandK

Out for a Thursday cache with KerriMG and what nicer place to be than by the ocean.
Well what a magnificent wall. We found no animals but did find a cache easily enough.

What a superb location. We enjoyed the view and the cache. Thanks and fav point
My wife and I were headed to the Manly markets to meet up with someone that sells my wife some sort of health nonsense. While in the area we stopped in for a few caches to pass the time.
The view is just awesome and we looked down over the marina and the poor people that can’t afford a house but can afford a million dollar boat and can also afford to rip up hundred dollar bills in boat fuel, mooring fees and bait. Jealousy can bring out the worst in people.
We didn’t get to see the wall in all its glory because parking was at a premium. I didn’t want to get a parking fine because I need all the money I can get my hands on for home loan repayments so one day I can afford a boat. tftc

Hubby and I had brekkie at Cafe La Mer (best breakfast in town imho) and this cache was so close by it would be silly not to find it
Muggle hubby navigated and while I questioned our level, he had nailed it! the cache was found after a little hunt. It had some resident ants but they skedaddled quickly when opened. Even though I am local I haven’t been in these streets since my prac days back at SJV around the corner. Thank you for placing this cache, it was lots of fun

A spontaneous decision to head out to Capalaba for a fish and chip dinner then over to Wynnum for a little walk by the water. Before heading home, this cache was in our sights and luckily was easy enough to find in the dark. Thanks for finishing off our night with a find
In the area I decided to stop here and have a look for this cache… previous logs give plenty away do it didn’t take long to find the cache…
In all the times I’ve visited Manly, I’ve never been up here… the houses are pretty impressive… thanks for bringing me here today…

Wasn't too hard once I got my bearings and used the compass to get to it Nd then looked around and bang there it was
Like others, I stopped down below and looked around to get my bearings… oh, THAT wall!
Thanks for pointing out the animals etc: that’s clever stuff.
Up top, I took a few photos since it was a nice day, then set to work. Yep, a familiar shape appeared pretty quickly. All is good inside so TFTC and the opportunity to visit a new landmark.
