This was a fun little journey around town. I would not have come to except for this Adventure Lab. Thank you for sharing it with me coordinates with a spot on and I was able to find the cash relatively quickly with only giant seabirds nearby to observe what I was doing.Thank you for this very large container

Did the AL after park run this morning and then brought Geohusband back to Bellerive this afternoon as I had enjoyed the area this morning. After a quick pint at the waterfront we headed along the foreshore to collect the final. A lovely hide worthy of a FP. Watched a cruise boat farewell Hobart from GZ. TFTC

I had searched for this one before and somehow missed it and today it was easy with a bit of a hint, i was looking for something a lot smaller.A day of staying local as i needed to do something for work so just a bit of a day cleaning up near home.Found on 13/01/2024 at 11:33:00 thanks to membsec for placing this cache for me to find. Find # 10582On a brief work trip to Tassie and I have a long list of caches to collect so no time for spinning the wheels Couldnt believe my luck to land this trip before year end so I can soon qualify for a number of different challenges requiring a visit to the 8 S/T in the year. Picked up the trusty SUV hire car on arrival and off I got. Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases This AL took about and hour and a half, including locating this bonus. Very large container but still took a moment to find. Fun Thanks so much for the many caches membsec and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light

Visited today and everything is as expected and correct.

Taking some time off to explore more of the apple isle with Roaming Howie. Day Three: Dunalley, Coal Mines, Port Arthur and various caches & AdLabs along the way.

Great spot for a lovely old cache. Love the history within.

Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, membsec

26-Aug-23
It was time for a return trip to Tassie to explore the southern part of the state. I paired up with OzHockeyChick for a 5 day caching blitz with some sightseeing in between. Today was Day 3 and it was time to head east towards Port Arthur.

A nice lab and a cool spot to hide a cache. The sun was shining and there were great views from here. Nice and peaceful.

Thanks membsec for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Great day for stroll around Bellerive TFTC

I left home early to find some caches before work. Had a mugglican standoff at Hobarts Menagerie this morning however I have now identified the cache.
I decided to cross the river and find a couple that I've had coords for - some a long time, so a little more recent.
Thsi was the first today and I spent about 20 minutes looking for this before PAFing and even then I still had troubles.
It wasn't until I read somoe previous logs that the penny dropped and I needed to look just a little further.
Found whilst Feral Hare- recce unit was posing for a photo.
Thanks for the bonus cache!

We completed the ad lab (our first one) in August (2022), but didn’t have time to look for the bonus that day. So we came back a few weeks later and couldn’t find it. Then… four searches, several hours spent looking and reading pretty much all of the logs for this cache later, we found it! Today was our fourth visit and it still took half an hour to find in the fading light, I think that we checked every spot except for that one. The information inside was interesting, but difficult to read in the fading light. We enjoyed both the ad lab and this bonus cache, very happy to finally turn this into a smiley.

Thanks for the ad lab and bonus membsec!

My wife and I have flown down from Brisbane to Hobart for a short holiday to use up the last of our remaining flight credits collected during Covid. While my wife enjoyed a sleep in, I headed out on a rather chilly morning to find some geocaches on the eastern side of the river.

Travelling on foot I eventually made my way from Rosny, along the waterfront at Bellerive and a short detour to collect the information from the various Adventure Lab waypoints. With all information to hand I was able to obtain the final GZ coordinates for this bonus cache.

At GZ I managed to stumbled on the cache rather quickly, in fact putting my hand right on it as soon as I started my search. Found the container safe and well read some of the documents inside before continuing on with my walk. TFTC

Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.

I am the real Duncan aka endeavour3 and I am known as a Norfolk Islander in this Hobart Town. To avoid sentencing I am required to find gocaches and complete Adventure Labs. TFTC

This gets a well deserved favourite point from me

After completing the adlab. We were so happy to find our first cache like this!

We are visiting Australia from Florida, USA for a multi-week vacation which will have us visiting two states in Australia (Tasmania and the ACT) we missed in 2014 followed by 28 days on the Ovation of the Seas including New Zealand and a Transpacific to Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Today was our eighth day of the trip and a travel day from Hobart to Sydney Airport and onto Canberra. We stopped by Bellerive for a set of Adventure Labs, it's bonus and an earthcache as we headed to the airport.

Thanks for a fun tour of the town, managed a fairly quick find even in a light rain. tftc!!

Saturday in Hobart is not complete without exploring the Salamanca
Market, then of course time to complete a couple of Adventure Labs such as this, we started a couple of days back.
After completing the adventure, it was a real bonus to add our name to the log here.

Satellites today had our GZ 6 metres W.N.W. of where we found the cache.

Thanks to membsec for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Walking in the area so checked it out. All OK and in good condition.

11-Mar-23
After a couple of full on days caching The Devil series we planned on a slightly easier day today starting with a wander around Bellerive doing the Ad Lab there. Once we had completed that and obtained the bonus co-ordinates we headed back to hunt for this cache. We soon realised approximately where the cache would be so one of us got into position to look for it. But it was only after reading a comment in a previous log that the cache was actually spotted. A very nice container. Thanks. Adding a favourite point.

After doing Adventure lab, we recieved all the clues for the bonus cache, and after a bit of searching, found it.
Lovely spot and enjoyed the walk.

The ad lab was completed in August and we’ve had two brief searches for this bonus since then but couldn’t find it.
We spent half an hour looking today but, once again found nothing. I reckon that it’s still there we just weren’t looking in the right place, the Gpsr was no help as it pointed into the water.

Hopefully we’ll be back soon.

Find 1 of 21 on a full caching and walking day around Hobart. 22km walked, 29AdLabs, 3 DNFs.

Just one location to find on this AdLab this morning, then a short walk to the finale. Took a minute to get the right spot, sneaky hide. Saw the info on Norfolk Island and our interest was piqued as we own a cache on NI and enjoyed our friend Duncan (Endeavour3's) hospitality there. Very interested to see that the historical info was all about Duncan Endeavour (haha). He's not THAT old.

TFTC membsec!

13-Nov-22
Enjoyed the AdLab greatly yesterday. Had a good grope around at what we thought was GZ near a little plaque about Darwin, but got nowhere. Later in the day we got a completely different spot which we tried this morning. Still no luck, so watched the American warship leave the harbour instead. After coffee used Google Earth to give us the co-ords and got right on top of the prize. This was well worth the effort. What a great cache. Now we will need to go back some other time and examine all the reading material accompanying this Bonus Cache. Thanks for a sterling effort indeed, and obviously gets a favourite from us.

09-Nov-22
Having finally completed all stages of the adlab and RoadieR at another nearby appointment I wandered along the foreshore on a glorious sunny afternoon to find this cache.
It was lovely to see people enjoying the day out.
The cache took a bit of finding but after a few false starts I finally had it in hand.
Thanks membsec, a fun adlab and a good cache.

**Found Saturday 05-November-2022 at 12:48 Smiley #1935**

Date and time weren't accurate. Lost them in the import from Geocaching to GSAK somehow Sad Needed specific caches for a challenge so I only hit four in the entire trip down. Was a great opportunity to visit Hobart, go to Vance Joy and visit family.

All the logs are in good condition unless specified otherwise, and they were all found with ease unless specified otherwise.

Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **membsec**, certainly good to clean the map up a bit more around the area. Big Grin

After lunch nearby say that there was a AL, to place that we had never been to before, very beautiful. Enjoyed the walk around the town and its history. Then off to find the bonus, very well hidden. Stamped log and replaced left a trackable to travel where Mr Darwin might take it on his travels.

We are visiting from Melbourne, down here for the U13 State Hockey Carnival.

We took a drive down to Bellerive for a look and see. Discovered this Ad Lab and decided to go around to all the different locations. Very enjoyable drive and walk around. I got stuck on one of the questions and asked a passing muggle for help. We had a great conversation and the answer was worked out.

The kids absolutely loved finding the final and exploring the location. A fantastic hide.

Thank you for the cache here membsec We give this one a favourite point for the enjoyment of the lab and the final hide.

19-Sep-22
While in the area chasing down puzzle caches we also completed the Lab Cache for this bonus.
The places the lab cache took us too were really interesting to see.
At GZ this one took a good bit of searching for before we finally found the well hidden little spot.
Happy to give this a bonus point from us, we enjoyed the lab and the puzzle hide.

Hi membsec, really enjoyed the Adventure Lab and wow what a spot for a bonus cache. Managed to start the adventure while tea was cooking the other night and finished it today with a walk. I enjoy the fabulous scenery but that paled into insignificance once I found the information inside the cache. I was a bit like a detective in a spy novel taking a pic of every page and turning around to ensure no muggles would come ashore, that way tonight when I sit down I can read it leisurely and take it all in. Wonderful adventure lab and FP No 15 for the bonus! Thanks for all your hides!!

After completing the AL and obtaining the code words we made our way to this very amazing GZ spot. What a view. Well constructed AL and GZ cache. Thoroughly enjoyed and adding a favourite because its worth doing this one for sure. TFTC. Picked up a TB to take back to Qld for more adventuring.

After spending a wonderful day out caching in the Marion Bay Area collecting both older and more recent caching placement we decided to stop by this cache on our way home and even up our geocaching numbers for the day. When we completed the Adventure Lab the other day, which we thoroughly enjoyed, we ran out of time to collect this bonus then, so now seems like an ideal time. We parked up just a couple of hundred metres away but a combination of all the sand walking we had been doing and then just being in the car for a while all of a sudden we felt very stiff and sore so the distance to gz really did feel like it was a lot longer. Once at gz it didn’t take too long to locate the well hidden cache and the extra bonus was the particularly nice views of a very snow covered amount Wellington.
Thanks for the Adventure Lab and bonus cache.

Hello membsec thank you for the cache

Well what a great cache.
Although I didn't read all the information in the container I very much appreciate the amount of work that has gone onto it.
It was an easy find as today's previous finder left it out in the open.

What a wonderful introduction to Adventure Labs. We had a lovely walk out to the fort reading the history and the information you gave us. Bonus cache was a quick find. I couldn't get the lid off it was on so very tight, but geohusband eventually managed thankfully. A bit of a grey day but good for walking.

Took a while to spot, I was searching a bit too high. A nice sized cache with a stack of stuff inside.

Apologies for the late log. Tarbit needed to be in Tassie for work so we made the trip over from VIC and spent the best part of two weeks here on the east side of the Derwent. I had found the adventure lab caches a few days earlier and so had the coordinates saved for this one. Had a little time to spare today to tie up a few loose ends and this was one of them. Parked nearby and strolled over to take a look for this one. Didn't see it at first but a return sweep as my GPS adjusted was fruitful and I had the cache in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the Adventure Lab bonus cache membsec.

My last day in Tasmania and I was lucky to meet up with Lady membsec and head out for an adventure. I had started this ad lab the other night while in the area for dinner. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to complete it then.

Returning today I made my way to the final three WPs and soon had a good looking set of coords for the final. It didn’t take long once at GZ to have the beasty in hand. Nice view from here!

Thanks for the ad lab and bonus cache membsec Big Grin
Happy to part with a FP here!

A perfect day to wander around Bellerive and to gaze across at the mountain (actually, it would have been a good day to ride up the mountain Smile ).
Thanks for the cache - I wish there had been fewer muggles so I would have felt I had time to read the materials.

Our Tassie Christmas holiday continues as we enjoy tripping around, but spending far too little time in each place.
Today found us exploring this area and enjoying this Adventure Lab. I was blown away with how well preserved the Kangaroo Bluff Fort was. We spent so much time looking around. Then at gz we enjoyed the walk along the trail and sat and watched a young family fishing. A favourite point for a lovely mornings walk.
Thank you for your cache.

01-Nov-20
When I saw that Tasmania was about to re-open its borders, I made arrangements straight away to fly to Hobart from Adelaide to catch up with family and friends (and of course, to find a few caches).

Today I thought I'd try to find some caches that interested me on the eastern shore.

After completing the associated Adventure Lab cache to obtain the codewords, it didn't take long to find the cache at GZ.

Thanks membsec for the puzzle and the cache. A favourite point from me.

11-Sep-20
On completion of a very well structured and presented Adventure Lab, we had the information to attempt this cache. We soon had the required coordinates. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of an exceptionally well prepared and presented cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks membsec for the excellent bonus cache. It earns a favourite from us.

Father’s Day, so a chance for some time with one of my boys To go for a couple of nearby caches.

Came here before in a very overcast day (with heavy showers) and gps was all over the place. Today I came with gps and quickly narrowed in on location.

Thanks for the Bonus cache membsec.
Enjoyed doing the AL this afternoon - a very familiar area, and despite it being quite cool, the GeoGSP and I (sometimes the GeoGSP had to sit in the car) enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll, reading all the information on display and collecting what we needed to complete this cache.
At GZ, I could see some nasty weather approaching but I had a good ten minutes to peruse the documents within the time capsule - really enjoyed the historical information you have included here. Log signed and everything sealed up nice and dry, and returned to it's hiding place before the showers hit. A favourite from me.

Hi membsec,
TFTC,
A nice day for a nice cache in a nice spot. Today EeePees and I found your Adventure Lab cache, this one and one other. Thanks for leading me around Bellerive.
Thanks again,
KingSmev

22-Aug-20
hi membsec, a fav point for this cache.
I started the Adventure Lab with AlbyDangles a couple of nights ago, and then returned in daylight hours with KingSmev to finish it off - although needed to visit each location again so he could complete the AL.
Once we had the final coords, we debated whether to walk or drive, but drove anyway.
KingSmev found the container, and added our names to the logbook.
I'd have liked to stay and read more of the enclosed info, but there's a bitterly cold wind here, and muggles, so all was replaced as found and we moved on.
KingSmev and I are direct descendants of a First Fleet convict, who was later on relocated from Norfolk Island, of which you mention in the listing! I also used to work within 100 metres or so of the 4 village locations, at the building that was once the Post Office, and mrsEeePees grew up "on the Bluff".
Thanks for the adventure.
Cheers, EPs

I had to be up early this morning to get my stitches out. That was all done by 9.30am and as I headed home I decided that 'coffee and cache' would be nice. I stopped at my favourite coffee shop in the area and enjoyed my mocha as I drove/walked to GZ. I had to wait out a muggle taking photos so sat in the car for a bit. Once the coast was clear I carefully made my way to GZ and found the cache a lot quicker than I expected.

I remember this container and when you got it. Surprise! Wink

I didn't look for this cache when I did the Lab Adventure last week as I was waiting for the wonders game to start. Funnily enough I found the same wonder on Saturday so there was no need to wait after all.
Thanks membsec, for the AL and cache that tied in nicely.
Another favourite point being added Smile

16-Aug-20
Thoroughly enjoyed the AL and a great hide for the bonus too! We got well & truly caught out by a very heavy shower whilst gathering info for the AL but it added to the fun! Of course, the raincoats were still in the car! FP awarded, TFTC membsec!

I saw this cache come out but was working at the time. After dinner, the oldest decided she would like to go for a walk with me. This was the walk we did. Now I'm familiar with some of the sights already, in fact i worked across the road from one of them, and then rented the same office for another employer.

The history of this area is very well preserved and made available through such groups and people like Ted. History has to be living, something that people talk about and is accessible, seen on boards and signs, otherwise it's just for archivists and withers with the generations who pass on.

On our walk we obtained clues for the AL but had some difficulty obtaining one in the dark. Actually two as my phone went flat but that info was written I my hand . Anyway, i dropped #1 back home and returned, eager that the cache was still unfound. So i went back to place i had trouble with, and followed the AL coords to the letter. Sure enough the info was right there in front of me, although being 2 degrees outside, me with dark clothing, a beanie and a head torch could have been mistaken for nefarious purposes. All i would need is some white stripes, and a calico bag with a dollar sign (or perhaps a VCR).

Anyway, info obtained but then the hard part was then getting the clue back out (i figured it out).

On to GZ and it was nice and quiet, had the place to myself. The cache was found quickly (i took the plunge and checked the hiding spot). Another difficulty i had was opening it in situ but withdrawing it within withbthe hide and with a 4-point hold it was opened easily.

It was a good sized cache and i spent some time perusing the excellent material in there. Sitting there for a while (still sitting as i write this) was quite nice at this time of night on a clear cold night.
