Had a great time kayaking and I notice on our return a GC right next door. Quick dash, job done. May have held up the minibus just a little!? TFTC
Since I started caching, I've never made the time nor opportunity to look for the hides at Riwaka Resurgence. So, on my last full weekend in the area, I planned a trip there, Marahau, Kaiteriteri, and Mot for a cache grab.
All pretty quite in Marahau this afternoon. No emergencies to worry about. I was able to pull up right by the GZ and make a quick find.
Thanks Sidewaze

Had a hard time getting to the site because of flooding but wet feet didn't deter us!
I missed the turn, so I parked next door. If someone came running out, I was ready to tell then I was inspecting the sign. No one did, but I was prepared. TFTC.
Time for a wee family summers holiday; Kaikoura, Picton and Nelson.
After Kaikoura and Picton, time for a wee stay in Richmond with family....Mr TG grew up in Richmond. Having lunch at the nearby restaurant (sisters 50th tomorrow!). Quick find and sign....all my school camps growing up were Marahau/Totaranui & walking the able tasman track. Nice quick find here on a not too busy but hot day. Thanks.

Came here yesterday but too many people around so we left, came back today and couldn’t believe how close I was yesterday. TFTC!
Our second stop before our walk .
We're on our first summer campervan trip. JDScout and I plan to do three this summer. This trip is from Christchurch to Motueka to Blenheim and back.
Thanks for hiding this cache Sidewaze I appreciate it. It has helped add an extra layer of fun in our holiday.

I found the cache and I also found some beautiful pine cones!
Left them piled up in a corner and came back later with the car to get them
Thanks for the smile here Sidewaze

It is a long weekend (Anzac Weekend) and NZDi wanted a few days away. We spent a few days in Motueka over Easter and intended to tack a couple of days at Kaiteriteri to that trip, but end up staying at Mot, so this trip is to make up for that. Our intention was to come across on Friday, spend two nights at the camping ground, then head home. But we enjoyed the first two days so much, we tacked another day onto it and will go home on Monday.
Today is day three of our holiday and being Anzac Day, first up is to attend an Anzac service before any geocaching is contemplated. This year I chose the Riwaka service. If I am away from home on Anzac Day I always attend a local service in the area where I am. That way I have been to dozens of different services around the country.
After the service, we packed a picnic lunch and headed towards Marahau, caching along the way. This was our twelfth find of the day and there was a ute near GZ emblazoned with the Fire Service logos etc. It appeared as though there was no-one present so we made a QEF PnG and successfully escaped without anyone questioning our presence.

Park and grab this quiet morning. Perfect autumn day to be roaming around the area, thanks very much
A quick find with Tregearp whilst on our way out to the Able Tasman for an afternoon walk. All in good order. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.
A quick find with SJT_NZ and grabbed some very cool pinecones as well for the fire. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache all in good order.
Found with no.13. A fire related vehicle parked up nearby but area free of people. Tftc
Last leg of our holiday, just booked a water taxi for tomorrows adventures. TFTF
Distracted by an empty log book I finally made it to Marehau in time for lunch. I drove in, saw a 4wd fire vehicle park outside and drove back out again. Parked on the roadside and walked in. The place was empty, so a quick find and sign was made.

This was a bit of an interesting learning curve for me. We pulled up at GZ and I told GK (who had got out to go and find the cache) what the hint said. He searched all of the options and did not find the cache. Hmmmmm Then he looked at a whole new level and very quickly found the cache. He passed it to me to sign and as I was doing so I noticed that the names in the log book did not match what I had on my phone. So I looked at the dates and it appeared my phone was out of date. A quick refresh and it all made sense. I had saved this in my phone the last time I came to Marahau and the hide and hint had changed since then. Woops, sorry GK.
So this was a good learning curve for me, that the phone did not show the changes since I last saved it.
We had been here before to find a cache, I am pretty sure we had some of the grandchildren with us last time as I remember them being so excited with what they found and not really understanding that the object had to stay were we found it.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Placed the cache in a new hiding spot - - again. This time I remembered to change the hint .
We are holidaying in Nelson at present, mainly to spend time with some of Mr G’s family but hoping to fit in some geocaching when the opportunity arises.
There are many caches around Tasman but we are focusing on a few that are special such as EarthCaches or Virtuals with particular walks and views incorporated.
Today we went with one family member to Marahau to do a little walking along the Abel Tasman. Coastal Walk, but did manage to fit in the odd geocache before we needed to head back.
Just time to nip in for this final cache of the day. The find was quite straightforward and the cache was returned where found but does not seem secure there. Later looking at last log we see it had been on the ground. Could probably do with a CO check to make sure it is where and as it should be. TFTC

After a day on the Able Tasman track it was good to be off our feet after 34000 odd steps. Stopped here to grab the last green box on the map. Headed to the obvious item and had no luck so rechecked the co-ords which led us to said item. Had a hunt around and nothing at specified height so started checking the ground. Eventually found on the ground so signed log and replaced as per hint. tftc
Caching with Sidewaze. - working at catching up with my draft logs. I enjoyed finding your cache. TFTC
In Marahau with Nanzie for cache maintenance and to catch up with a friend camping at the Outdoor Education Centre. Nice easy find thanks Sidewaze

I had contemplated a FTF dash on this when it first came out, as we were staying in Kaiteriteri. We didn’t, and have been back once since (after walking in the NP), but the neighbour muggled us before we started searching. Today no real issues, except that I had a good rummage around with no success until RG spotted it on the ground. Replaced where I think it should be. TFTC Sidewaze.

Second time trying to locate this one, last time we were foiled by muggles gardening!

Am sure I’ve found a previous cache in this location. Quite a lot of activity further up the drive today. Finally went past when no one was around and quickly located what I was looking for. Realised I’d forgotten a pen- returned late in the day to sign the log
An early morning trip to Marahau to find a cache or two. No worries here at 7am this morning. TFTC
I remember finding a very similar cache here not long ago. It made finding this cache quite easy. TFTC. Find #660
Taking a drive at the end of the weekend and this popped up on the screen. Wandered in to make a quick find. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find - never did find the last one that was here - out for an afternoon drive log signed - thanks for the cache
Nice day to be out and about over here grabbing a few caches. There was a Fire Service vehicle parked up so I thought I might have to give this a miss but there was no one in sight so grabbed it while the going was good. TFTC # 16,246
Cricket on for SoBad so Mrs and her cousin headed over to Marahau for a walk in the Park. Mrs S had forgotten this cache had been placed since our last trip until a walker on the track asked for information about how to get to a certain bay. Opened the caching map and answered the question and also spotted this cache. A quick find before we headed home - in time to watch NZ bowl. So 2 successes for the day.
Thanks.
Thanks.
It's school camp time and I am following, or leading the kids along half of the coastal track. I started here at Marahau on a Monday lunchtime, walked to Anchorage for the first night, Onetahuti for the second night, back to Anchorage for the third and the out to Marahua on Thursday morning and down to Motueka for a shower on the last night. All up, 78 km of walking on the track, popping down to most of the bays and sidetracks along the way, 11 hours moving and 8 hours 45 minutes stopped for eating, resting and cache searching. I took a short drive from the track entrance/exit while waiting for the kids to emerge. Easy find here.
Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

*Thanks Sidewaze for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!*
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Weather a bit better today with only a few showers of rain
*Soon had this cache located, area very quiet when we visited!*

Found - but rather exposed so we did our best to hide it properly in what we hope is the intended spot.
Keep walking towards Marahau, from Abel Tasman, nice way to keep me busy, thank you!
We had decided it was time we looked at the caches on the Kaiteriteri/Marahau loop since it was some time since we had been this way.
I have a very vague recollection of having been here for a cache in times past? No problem finding this one, I had it in hand before Hazedarus had turned the car off.
Thank you Sidewaze.

Thank you Sidewaze.
I remember a bum cache here from when we were still rookie cachers. The place was deserted and Holymu had the cache already in hand when I got out of the car. I like it when that happens Thank you Sidewaze
I popped out this morning and went for a drive to find a few newish caches. This was the second cache I came to. No problem here. Found the cache after a short search. TFTC, Biggles.
Quick find while on a winters holiday in Kaiterieri. Saw the fire station but not sure about the community hall. Thanks for the cache
Swinging by a couple of Marahau caches before heading back to Nelson. Stoked to manage another (FTF) on this trip. TFTC.
