A trip out to Snug Falls this afternoon to get these caches. The weather played nice for the most part, we got a few sprinkles of rain, but nothing heavy. The falls were amazing today, this mornings rain certainly would have helped with that. A reasonably quick find here, considering that the GPSr couldnt decide whether to send me up the hill or down the other side, so was grateful for the good hint. Once we got to GZ it said three metres, so the coords are very accurate. Thanks for the cache Budgietas!

After a while spent admiring the falls it was time to start the trek out. Unfortunately for my very quiet family, we had chosen the moment to leave at the exact same time as the loudest family at the falls We meandered up the slope with quite a bit of noise and we were happy to reach the hut and let the others continue on. Thankfully, we soon had some solitude and I left my muggles to sit for a rest in the hut. I hadnt walked that far up to GZ when I noticed the cutest little critter EVER! Yes, it was an echidna I called up my crew to come and gently observe our new friend. While they took a few happy snaps of our new bestie we named Sonic, I went and left my mark on the log. Such good timing to find this cache and experience a gorgeous little local. Thanks for the cache Budgietas Big GrinHappy to part with a FP for a really wholesome experience here.

Hello Budgietas thank you for the cache

Been here a few times.
Today I dropped MrsD off at here sisters and came to find your cache.
I managed to find it during a gap in muggles.
The log book was wet as the container wasn't put together properly.

Pretty easy to find if you use the hint. Takes a little bit to locate because of the size, but a good one. Only big enough for the log.

Fearing i'd lose reception up here i was so surprised to keep it the whole way along this track... even right down to the Snug Falls [^]

This one was up first after i relaxed a bit at a parking spot up top where i enjoyed my 2 Potato Cakes with Chicken Salt and a FUIC Strong [^]

After my lunch i made my way to this one first. I was onto it in about 5 minutes Wink

The sneaky hanger was sighted and i was SL at 12:10 on TGIF 17 December 2021.
The log within was dry-as-bro Wink

While staying at the Snug caravan park we decided to walk to these 2 caches in the late afternoon as it was not as hot then. A nice walk down to the falls, but coming back was a bit slower. There were plenty of muggles about, wow never seen so many about during the week, but show day must of bought them out.

Plenty of water flowing over the falls today, agreat sight!.

A quick find, cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks Budgietas for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

We decided that because this morning was such a beautiful sunny day that we would venture south to find some caches that have been published since our last visit or caches that were missing on our last visit. However the temperature in places were fairly low as our car kept telling us to be careful due to ice on the road (3 degrees or lower). Before we arrived at the first cache, we had a bit of drama. Going down a hill and slowing down due to road works, the ute behind us lost 3 melamine sheeting. These sheetings went straight towards us, luckily only hitting our back tyres then flying upwards, thankfully landing on the road behind us. We stopped and the Ute behind us stopped to check both our car for any damage and to pick up the 3 sheetings, which were only slightly damaged on the edgings. One “P” plater was a bit shaken and very sorry for what happened. The 3 sheets from the road and the 3 remaining on top of the Ute were moved to the back of the Ute, hopefully staying there until they reach their destination.

Thanks for this beautiful walk. We kept avoiding the previous cache placed in this area for many reasons but today we had no excuse. A beautiful day and a great walk with some muddy areas in a few places. Lady membsec only slipped once! Cache was found using the hint and all was good with the container. We still have another cache to find and visit the falls.

Had a quick look on the way in but GPS was all over the place. Had a better look on way out and newbie caching friend had the idea to look a bit further afield and jackpot. TFTC and the lovely walk.

The location was indeed popular today. GeoWife had mentioned it, after our after- dark waterfall visit last night, so a trip was made with 4 out of 5 of us.
It is such a nice walk down to the falls. Less nice walking back up to the car.

Thanks for the cache Budgietas.
Took the GeoGSP for a walk to Snug Falls today - we had a great time, we spotted a tiny echidna having a little wander and a snuffle of the side of the track, we met another couple of doggoes at the Falls and they had a great swim at the pool. There were heaps of muggles out and about, so we only managed to grab this one. Good excuse to come back again.
This was a nice quick find at GZ, cache is in good condition.

A quick find by Mrs DnA!. TFTC

07-Nov-20
For a while now we've been meaning to take Little Miss Nataliec1234 on a walk to Snug falls - Mr and Mrs had paid a few visits 10+ years ago, but not since she'd arrived (nor since we'd started caching). Obviously the falls themselves were the main drawcard, but a couple caches along the way certainly didn't hurt!

With this one, we thought we'd spotted an "obvious" spot pretty quickly, but it turned out to be a dead end. As we widened the search, a bunch of muggles stopped for a bit of a chat by the hut, making things a bit difficult. Fortunately they were more engrossed in their conversation than in us, so we managed to track it down undetected.

Thanks for placing a cache here - it's defnitely a great spot to stop for a bit with a junior geocacher in tow! TFTC!

TaurusSix and I decided a trip to Snug falls was the go today. I'd found one down here before, so two more was a bonus.
The track was muddy. But the falls were great, especially seeing the rainbow in them.

13-Aug-20
It was a lovely winter's day and we thought we would head down this way to find a few newly published caches that have appeared since our last visit and this was one of them. This is a great walk that we haven't done since finding the cache at the falls when we first started caching nine years ago, so nice to return. Luckily a quick find with the aid of the hint and off to the next. TFTC

08-Aug-20
Found with Whypie on sunrise walk to the falls. Having the track to ourselves we were able to quickly mind the cache. Great place for a well hidden cache. Tftc

Another find with Puglumps. Her eagle-eyes are always perfect for finding bison tubes. Me, on the other hand, seem to be blind to them. TFTC Budgietas

08-Aug-20
This afternoon we decided to head to Snug Falls, which turned out to be flowing very nicely. There were quite a few cars at the parking location but the track didn't seem too busy & we had GZ to ourselves making the cache an easy find. TFTC Budgietas!
Cheers,
The Hancock Clan

Overshot this one going down, so found it after returning from the falls.
Always enjoy the challenge of finding a hanger.
Lots of muggles walking to the falls today, fortunately they were not around when searching at GZ.
Thanks Budgietas for the cache.

Hi Budgietas,
TFTC,
A nice night to be out and about with EeePees finding caches. It is not as cold as we thought so we are nice and warm. Good track that has been walked by myself a few times. Good find and spot.
Thanks again,
KingSmev

Hi Budgietas, thanks for the cache.
When the notification came thru I was just about to sit down to dinner, so I sat down to a delicious roast. Deliberated whether or not to head out (and leaning toward not), but KingSmev was a bit keen, so after dinner we rugged up and headed to Snug.
A little later we were parked and soon walking down what slowly became a muddy track, on a beautiful starry night.
Arrived at the hut, followed the GPSr to GZ and began searching, and thank goodness, it wasn't long before the cache was to hand, signed and replaced.
Aside from OldSaint's beta scribble, the FTF spot was blank, so happy to share the FTF with KingSmev; thanks.
Now it's off down the hill a little further to see what else we can find.
This is the second time I've walked this track at night as I came down here one night a couple of years ago with AlbyDangles and AmazingDaughter on a photography mission .
Cheers, EPs.
