With relief it was a quick find. Log a bit damp. Tried to dry as much as could. TFTC
Quick find. Cache is unfortunately soaked, and the log book almost impossible to sign. Thanks for the cache.
**#21,027**It was well after Tee off time, the sun has left us for another day and it was head torches on time, a few trees around matching the description but only one with GC on it... to be fair I had already found it before spotting the GC!
#597 There were a few trees that matched the clue; however a GC marked the correct one. Saved me from getting teed off
Taking a break from the home office to enjoy the sunny weather. Soaked through log here, luckily we brought a GC pen! Tftc
This was our last find in the area today and a great one to end on. The trail twisted back and forth so we moved closer and then further away from the cache a few times. We hadnt read the description and only realised it was a bit off the trail when the GPS started counting up again. We probably could have left the trail and entered the bush at a closer point to GZ but decided that Mr Coblet might as well head in from the point we were at while Mrs Coblet waited on the trail with his backpack. The GPS was saying it was only about 70 metres to the cache which didnt seem like much but in the bush it was a bit further than anticipated due to the need to navigate around various obstacles so he was pleased when he arrived at GZ.He needed to move straight to stealth mode as there were a couple of golfers on the course nearby and it would have seemed a bit odd and probably quite shocking to find him skulking in the foliage. It took a few minutes to located the hint item as there were a couple of other possibilities but once he did it was obvious that he was in the right place, not only because it matched the hint but because someone had kindly written GC on the tree.Unfortunately the log was mush so couldnt be signed but he took a photo as proof. It was now time to head back to Mrs Coblet but this was easier said than done as he realised he had been so intent on navigating to the cache that he hadnt taken much notice of the route he had taken and had zigged and zagged so much, making the way back a little hard to remember. But at least he knew she was only 70ish metres away.Meanwhile back on the trail, Mrs Coblet had her own mission to deal with as muggles had been passing and wondering why she was standing there with two backpacks. One lady stopped and seemed to be waiting for her to pass and Mrs Coblet waved her on. She looked at the extra backpack, into the bushes, back at Mrs Coblet and made a facial expression reflecting confusion and concern. The situation wasnt helped by Mr Coblets voice suddenly ringing out from the bushes saying It was mush but I took a photo!! The muggle quickly scurried off, now with an expression of pure shock, and Mrs Coblet began to verbally guide Mr Coblet back to her, keen to avoid another similar situation.Mr Coblet had been weaving through the bushes and fortunately had been going in the right direction but was pleased to hear her voice to show he was on track and it was a relief to both of us to be back together and able to continue our walk without confusing any more muggles. Thanks G-2 for placing all of these awesome caches around the golf course, such a great variety and some really unique, they really kept us on our toes.We look forward to coming back to look for the few we had to bypass due to the presence of too many golfers.
Could have been a difficult one, but I found the multi trunked small tree with the light spot on it and with the help of the hint, I spotted the cache quickly. Cool cache type!
It was only then that I discovered that someone has written GC on the light spot at the tree... haha. Spoiler alert.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining.

Taking advantage of the weather (which was absolutely not what was forecast) for some geocaching. Started out a little cool, but heated up really quickly. Once I got onto the main tracks there were quite a number of muggles walking with their dogs.
It took me a lot of wandering around to find my way to GZ. Felt quite exposed walking through the golf course, but there were tracks on C:geo showing the way. Ended up following the red paint/red markers to the track.
Reached GZ and after a short search located the cache. Unfortunately, the log was absolute mush (see attached photo) so I was unable to sign. I had to wait out some muggles arriving to tee off at the nearby hole.
Walked back up to meet the track and passed a group of guys and one of them, who I would describe as the absolute laziest golfer - he had a remote-controlled golf trolley so he didn't even have to cart it around the course!

Tricky, tricky, tricky. Tricky getting to GZ, tricky following the hints and very tricky finding cache, not to mention finding the way out. Took all the skills here. A Fav. Tftc
another great find with flossieteacake. took a while to avoid getting muggled but was quick to find once the muggle had left. TFTC
We were approaching when we spotted a golfer on the tee who waved us through. Shame we wanted to duck into the bush. He then teed off on a par with how bad I probably would. Eventually he went off to chase his balls and we managed to find GZ. Took some time before we spotted the cache. Tipped the cache out and got a handful of dirty water. Tried the log and that was also soaked through so took a picture and put it all back where we found it.
Another nice day for a walk so we chose to vist Centennial Park to pick up a few caches and get some exercise.
Not sure if we took the right approach to this one, but it worked well, and it did not take us long to work out the location of the cache from the hints given. Quickly spotted at the stated location, but the log was too soggy to sign so we settled for a photo instead. (Appologies, we had read about the soggy paper here and had intended to bring some more to replace it with, but forgot). TFTC.

Lots of scrabbling in the bushes for this one. Hard to extract log, it's very wet and disintegrating
Very cool! Haven't seen one like this before, was right in front of me but I didn't see it for the trees lil miss got thisnone all on her own
Nearly got hit by a golfball here. It landed about 2m away. The golfer got a fright seeing us in the bushes when she came to retrieve her ball . Nice hide. Thanks G-2
After a long misguided bush bash reached the location and identified the cache immediately- but it was firmly wedged in there….
There are a lot of pines! Follow the map really carefully and you will be fine!
Hadn’t looked for a GC for a long time so decided to do so on our regular walk. Great find!
The cache is jammed to the max inside its container so logging with the CO'S permission. I walked along the edge of the golf course to get here and made a quick find, but while i was trying to get the log out, I heard some men about to tee off at the hole next to the cache. I dashed 20m into the bush but then all of a sudden, a golf ball came sky rocketing into the bush and landed very close to me. I could hear the golfers coming to get the ball and I managed to find a hiding spot under a ponga. All nestled up praying they wouldn't spot me, I saw them 10m to the right of me but fortunately they left as I would've had a lot of explaining to do. TFTC
Out for an afternoon wander and stopped to grab some caches with kiwisavage. Nice easy find near the golf course. Tftc
Another cache just a little off the trail and on the edge of the golf course. As I walked around today I found 5 golf balls too, placed some in Gollum's lair cache and put the rest in my car for ? Soon found myself alongside this one and spotted straight away thanks to the descriptive hint. Thanks G.
A trip home from work over on the shore via Forrest Hill yet again yielded a few more finds, and a nice stroll in the winter sun. Today was one of my improvable 9-days which I intend to double-figurise when possible. Only an hours walk around the trails at the back of the golf course but still good to get some track under my boots. Thanks to all COs.

We needed a walk and decided to explore the network of tracks in Centenary park and find the newish caches on our way. As we approached gz, we realised we would need to detour off the main trail towards the golf club in order to find the cache. Lots of pine trees in the area but we zoomed in on a couple and soon knew we were in the right place when we saw GC on the cache. Looked down and there was the cache! TFTC
Someone has marked the white patch with the letters GC make it even simpler if you know what it means. TFTC
Came in off Centennial Place to access the track to gz and it was a lovely bush walk. Crossed over the edge of the golf course and then bounced around a bit under the trees. Spotted what I was looking for and the cache container was jammed in quite tight in the camo but managed to get it out. Signed and replaced. TFTC
I almost yelled out '4' when the nearby golfers were teeing off, but then that would have given away my position, cheers
After walking the path through the bush I ducked up onto the golf course and then back into the bush just as a golf cart of white ball chasers arrived. I had no trouble locating the cache and thankfully I was just out of sight of the golfers but that's when the fun began. While trying to get at the log, the inside container unexpectedly flew out of the outer and onto the leaf litter. I spent the next 5 minutes scratching around on the ground trying to find it while compiling a "I'm sorry I lost your cache" message to the CO in my head. Thankfully the brightly coloured lid enabled me to find it, whew was I relieved!
Out and about for a spot of geocaching on this sunny day looking to tidy up some of the local neighborhoods by finding some of the relevantly recent cache hides. I parked up on Morton Way and took a combination of tracks as I headed to GZ. I took a shortcut and bush bashed between the Kohekohe and Mamaku tracks. Then there was a wander under the pine trees to access GZ. Um, this is more than "slightly off trail" I would suggest. Terrain rating of 1.5 is a little low. Once near GZ I found a spot that matched the coordinates and was close to the hint. But a search here was unfruitful. Moving along a little further I found an even better spot, hint wise, and came up with the goods. Cheers for the mini adventure and the cache placement!
I am always amazed that there are multiple things that match the hint and cause me to second-guess where I am supposed to look. I got there in the end. TFTC,.
Another { FTF } with nette !
Very unexpected!
We had hatched a plan yesterday that we would leave West Harbour at 8.30 am and go over to the Shore to do the 2 new Adventure Labs .
Then I had notifications about 2 new trads at the beautiful Centennial Park !
So naturally we came here first !
Good that we could be flexible....
I was driving . and when we arrived Jan worked out the best way to get to them. We walked here from the Avenue of Remembrance .
We were careful to avoid those fanatics chasing the white balls!
While I was at the wrong pine trees Jan found the unusually camoed cache !
Many thanks for the fun G-2
Always very enjoyable walking around the extensive network of tracks here ...
Nette will need to return as there are many caches to be done here !
