Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a very long and somewhat arduous day, starting with an early morning walk around Glenelg before heading out towards the hills, Hahndorf, and Mount Barker. We then finished it off by targeting as many caches on our to-do list as we could before making it back to Glenelg just on dark for some gelati. Overall, it was a mostly successful caching day and are thoroughly enjoying our visit to Adelaide thus far.Nice easy calculation and short walk to GZ where we managed a quick find. Thanks for the cache
Oh no! I have fond memories of kangaroos hopping across the fairways and greensIt's been some years since I played the Belair course and I was both surprised and disappointed to learn of it's demise. Unfortunately I didn't come prepared for a round of disc golf but I did enjoy seeking out the cacheAll found in excellent condition. Log signed and returned as found before heading on my wayMany thanx to The Tardis Trio for the cache and ongoing maintenance

Christmas trip to Adelaide 2023. Day 11. Blackwood Day 9. For the second day of the year where I had no plans for the day, I chose to do some caching around the near to home area of Coromandal Valley and Hawthorndene. I managed a few very short walks and even visited a section of Belair National park I have never been on before. A bright sunny morning and it was warming up as I headed home for lunch.I tackled three short multis this morning and this was one that did not take too long. I waited for some Frisbee players to pass by before crossing down to the GZ. I managed to miss the hide for a few laps of the area, but managed to locate it in the end. Thanks for the cache The Tardis Trio45212.4 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2014 Compass Rose Longevity A#303**Albida**
I've only visited this section of the park once before, and that was a couple of months ago taking my girlfriend out mountain biking. According to Strava we set one of the slowest lap times to date. I've been meaning to come back and go for a hot lap just on my own to set a good time. Today was not the day for that, but I did find a well hidden multi cache! Took TB, Left paracord keychain. TFTC!
Approached on bike from within the new holiday park.
Nice ride and hide.

The date for this find is a bit of a guess as we were staying at the Belair Caravan Park and found a whole heap around the area then went on to do other stuff and realized this pocket of finds hadnt been logged. A good spot to pull off the road and make the dash across the golf course, glad it wasnt being used as we would have copped a ball in the noggen on that stretch!!We live on the edge of a golf course and take it from us that those golfers dont care if there are people or houses in their way when it comes to pretending they can play golf haha. After a bit of a hunt around we had the cache in hand, signed the log and took a leisurely stroll back across the "green"Thanks The Tardis Trio for the cache, TNLNSL
Didn’t even have to get out of the car to collect the numbers and massage them…….but did have to get out for the short walk to the final, for a quick find, sign & return

Thanks for the cache The Tardis Trio. I was returning from a nearby Mystery on Sat night, and decided to try this one. Collection of numbers was quick and painless, and it was then a short walk to GZ. The grass here is long at the moment, well above my waist. A kangaroo looked on from afar, and once on the correct side of the tree, the shiny black gold revealed its secrets. Cache in great condition, signed and returned as found.
I hope this series has/had a long trail of similar themed caches.

I sent the afternoon in and around Belair National Park, enjoying the sunshine and finding geocaches.
Warm weather so the sunscreen was on nice and thick. This was my first time geocaching inside Belair National Park so there were plenty of caches within walking distance to keep me busy.
I parked outside and took off on foot. Lots of good quality caches found. A couple required an extended search but the vast majority weee found without problems.
Thanks for the cache The Tardis Trio.

Hopped down to town with Mr Froghoppin, and went for a stroll in the park!
No risk of being hit by stray balls anymore!!!

Beware! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and sharp rocks in your tyres
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...

Keep your distance - cache the countryside
Really fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thanks so much for reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again !

Another Tuesday treking adventure with Mattycat, today saw us around Belair NP for most of the day before picking up a couple south of the city on our way home, after some great walks through the park today and we had enough daylight to collect a couple more from the perimeter including this one, I remember playing a round of golf here many years ago, cache was found in a well hidden niche

This morning I headed up to Belair National Park to find a few caches. The aim was to start early, then head home again as the day got warmer.
After collecting the required information, this was a nice quick find.
Thanks The Tardis Trio for the cache.

Today I needed to find a multicache for my calendar. [^] I had been saving close to home caches for just such a day. In fact at a 50 km round trip this was my closest multi cache....good grief
So down the freeway I came and then along a well traveled road until I was at the parking spot. [^] I remember chasing balls into the scrub at this golf course many moons ago. Mostly not finding them in the undergrowth. I wonder if I will find one today? The fairways are just so overgrown, if it wasn't for the lack of trees your are lucky to see them now. Mmm. down there. Only me snakes, wriggle away now. Perhaps not the ideal day to be in thick grasses. Oh well..here now I waded in and soon found the cleverly hidden cache. Stamped and back to the car without finding any lost balls or wriggling sticks. [^] Mission done.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks The Tardis Trio for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

I played a few rounds of golf on this course in the early 70's. Did not continue with golf later. Today with nobody (DEW supposedly) looking after the course, it has reverted to nature to some degree. Probably good for the wild life... Thanks The Tardis Trio.
After picking up some challenge caches with goingplaces2 we decided to add a couple of multi to the program. This was a nice easy find and the log was signed. TFTC.
It was good to be able to do a nice little one step multi with a cache find at the end, together with ilook4geo. The numbers worked well and an easy find was made. All was good with the container and log. Thanks for this multi cache go to The Tardis Trio.
A day out with Featherwaite.
We went to Charlston and Monarto and picked up any others we came across.
I picked this one up on my way to pick up Featherwaite. A few people running and walking through the area but none cared about me.

Today I needed a multi for the penultimate square of my multi calendar. So I decided to make a day of it and pick up a few Used 2B caches and head to Milang (spell check so wishes I am heading to Milano ) to finish off the rail trail and convert my prior dnfs.
Had a nice brekkie in Unley and then headed for the hills. It was a glorious day and I had a fab day out. Converted 4 prior dnfs into smilies but alas added 2 new ones. Thanks to all the COs.
This was my first find for the day took me a while to locate at GZ the gps was bouncing about. Got there in the end. TFTC Tardis Trio

After figuring out the coordinates, gz put me right next to a romantic picnic. Da-dum. Rather than asking if I could share a cupcake, I carried on for a walk and was relieved to see upon my return ... a family enjoying some nature play in the trees, so I carried on and found a nearby GCA cache. After making the find, I returned and was relieved to see ... not a single muggle in sight!! A quick find and nice little multi TFTC The Tardis Trio!
Out and about working slowly through my puzzles and multi calendars. I don't think I have ever been here before and not quite sure what the drivers going passed thought I was doing but I spotted it by torch light.
Thanks

After joining in the festivities for our younger grand-daughter's 5th birthday in Apex Park at Hawthorndene, we stopped to look for this cache as we headed back to Crafers West. Data collection was straightforward. Then it was a short walk to GZ where accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. There is obviously quite a deal of community concern about the possibility of using some of the Belair National Park for a major football development, concerns we can relate to. Thanks The Tardis Trio for the cache.
A nice multi to do on my way home from work. It will be interesting to see what happens to the area. I grabbed the TB that was inside. TFTC The Tardis Trio
My last orienteering event before crossing over to the dark side (geocaching) was on this former golf course. Kinda eerie. I also recently did a cache that happened to be on a former golf course in Melbourne, so hope to see more in this series! A TB collected in Melbourne has been left. Thanks for bringing me back here Tardis Trio.
Needing a find for the day I headed out to target this multi. Parking in the obviously spot I found the required sign and soon after I had worked out a plausible gz. After a short walk I was at gz and a quick search later I had my hands on the cache, the log was signed and I was on my way.

Stopped here to Log the last one we had just found & couldn't believe we were sitting right on a Multi. Soon had solved & off to find. Log signed & back to the car. So sad to see this lovely Golf Course neglected & nothing but a fire hazard. TFTC TNLNSL
Found this with CherryRose after stopping to log a previous find just down the road. We pulled over because there was too much traffic to log the previous find where we had parked and I noticed we were right on top of a multi. Quick calculations and a short walk and hey presto another find. Grass is getting a bit long but no snakes were spied. TFTC TNLNSL
There was a new Adventure Lab in Blackwood so I thought I would come up here to do that and grab a couple of caches while I was at it. [^]
I needed a multi for today and this one was perfect. Arrived at the given coords, sat in the car while I worked out where GZ was, then went for a short walk. Was not quite sure whose head high was measured and if it was the CO's then I may have had a bit of a problem. Lucky for me the cache was quite reachable and I gladly stamped the log.
The grass around GZ was nearly my head high, I could have just about gotten lost in there. No golf balls spotted on my walk.
Thanks for the cache The Tardis Trio.

found on the way home from work before i needed to be at the dentist. I stopped and got some numbers, went for a short stroll and found the cache. I thought a small meant a mint tin ( not the cliplock container i found ) otherwise i would have dropped a tb. Quick find. I didn't even realize that this golf course had closed before this cache listing.
Have played here several times in the past for work tournaments, and saw a mate get a hole-in-one on a par 3. Long gone are the golfers apart from a grey haired gentleman hitting a ball up the fairways (my Dad lives closeby) often finding more golfballs during his practice.
Crunched the numbers and made the find in a neat hideyhole. Signed the log and took the TB

I have passed this one about 4 times recently with no time to do it or being with 'them' Non-Geocaching folk [:o]
Today, Thursday the 29th of October, i made up for that by swinging by today to grab the needed numbers for the solve.
That done i wandered off to the final to make a find in the 3rd place i checked

How have I never known that this was here? Once again geocaching has helped me discover something very cool I would've otherwise missed.
Very cool to see this golf course slowly returning to bushland. Whilst it would've been a spectacular course, it's much more spectacular like this. Hope to see this happen to a few other water-consuming golf courses over the next 10 years... (sorry golf lovers).
Looking forward to the next one in this new Used 2B series! The cache itself was very well hidden and took me a bit to find.
Thanks The Tardis Trio!

I did the quick calcs on the Astro scorecard and then proceeded to cross the fairway. Fairway?? Nothing fair about it. It was more like the rough. Where elephants go to die… as they say. Perfect day for a walk esp as it wasn’t spoiled by following a golf ball. No “fores” here to worry about for the fore...seeable future.

Remember playing here a few times in its prime. Shame to see a beaut golf course go to ruin. At least the kangaroos would be happy now. Quickly calculated final co-ords and nabbed the cache. Very wet feet though as it had rained and we were walking through long grass. Took Travel Bug, left Lego Piece. Cheers.
Stopped by on way home.

*FTF* First to Find at 10:53 hr.
I was working from home today and just had a meeting finish up with this notification came through. With some available time to spare, I decided to make the dash/drive towards this one. Once at GZ, the numbers were easily collected and coordinates crunched.
As suspected, the cache was located only a short walk from the posted coordinates. My runners got wet walking around the soursops, and soon spotted the nice hiding spot. I’m glad the CO hasn’t constrained this series to only be micros like that other unrelated series, so it was a suitably sized find. All in good shape. Thanks The Tardis Trio for the cache hide and maintenance! Now back off to home / today’s work office.

Having played countless rounds of golf at Belair in the 90s and 00s, loking at the course now is like the equivalent of New York in I Am Legend. The rough is real nasty if you miss the fairways. Nature taking everything back!
