TFTC - good container shame we didn't bring our toy bag to switch out! A trackable hidden in here
Today we did the Nihotupu Walk and Spraggs Bush. Both walks were stunning! All caches were easily found. Tftc!
Came here today to add some toys.....as I heard it needed some !It's a good sized container for them....All good for kids now!
After seeing some new caches in this area on Fairy Falls Track a plan was hatched for some Team SEAC to head out for another one of our adventures. After completing those we continued along the road for some more (and a bit of a rest for the legs!) before we arrived for our second planned walk here. This just happened to be a significant milestone for me and what a great cache it was!! Certainly felt rejuvenated and ready for some more!!Thanks for the cache and for a great milestone...worthy of a fav point.
We headed out west today for the walk to Fairy Falls. What a lovely walk it was - but those stairs!!! Beautiful falls after all the rain over the past few days, luckily it was dry today. As we headed home we stopped along the way for the caches we passed. This walk was another on our radar today. Here today with a number of Team SEAC - stik-a-crane, keylev, nursedr, fifinz, cragger. Signed as SEAC to save space. A nice quick find here by keylev for her 7000th cache, so great that it was a good sized cache.
Yet another team SEAC adventure with stikacrane, Kelylev, hemaludy and fifinz on what we thought would be a dry day after all the rain. Fingers crossed so far it has. TFTC Signed SEAC 7000 for Keylev!
WOW this cache is HUGE and was toyless! I'd not brought enough spare to add any but I will mark it down for one of my post work walk spots and bring some of our oversized op shop toys to stock it up. Would make a great trackable drop off also.Such stunning trees its such a joy to walk amongst them! I keep saying this but I must bring my cub troop here for a session. I'm thinking maybe map reading!TFTC
Nice little trail through the bush...the sun was out but in the shade it was still quite cold, so luckily we didn't need to stop too long anywhere.....The cache was all good. signed in and returned to it's hiding spot.TFTC.
Last one for this area. Enjoyed our walk here. Great descriptions made for easy finds. Thanks for all your placements here. Tftc.
We have had a nice walk around this reserve. It is great to be able to bring the geohound out with us, and have a good walk somewhere protected from the sun.The cache could be seen as we approached GZ, but then again, we knew it was there so we were looking in that direction and could tell what it was.
Had to pass this one as muggles were behind us. A popular track, as another group passed us just as we were signing, thanks
With rustynz exploring Spraggs bush and finding a few caches along the way. Thanks for all your hides supernannny
With littleblackbird1 on a bush walk, exploring Spraggs Bush This is going to be a slow meandering walk, with a little backtracking in places. Its hot and sticky, but the trees keep us in the shade.Well another fun find supernannny, again littleblackbird1 reached for the cache, and happily we were signing another log.
I don't restart work again until the 8th of Jan. With free accommodation I decided a geocaching holiday in Auckland was a good way to spend this week off. Most of the week I geocached with Yvettetb but the beginning and end I was on my own. Yesterdays focus area was around the Orakei Basin area and Saint John's. Today it was going to be Titirangi but we spotted a new cache publication and plans changed and we headed to the Waitakeries.Another lovely bush walk. The cache was a quick find just where I expected - didn't even need to read the hint. Thanks for your caches on this bush walk
A larger cache than expecting at GZ but another quick find. Our New Year caching trip in 2024 was in and around Auckland with Lis's Crew. Today we were planning on going in and around Titirangi however a FTF popped up this morning at the Cascades so we have made a detour on our travels. Thanks for bringing me here as I have never explored this track and TFGC. What a great way to spend a sunny summers day.
I like this one hidden under and my friend could actually see it as we looked back at the bridge and so i made sure that it was not visible when we left . I was up in Auckland for a few days visiting my Sister and Bro in Law and during that time i visited a few caches closer to where they live but one day i went out with my school friend ( we started school together - a couple of weeks apart - way back in 1953 )and we spent the day together walking through this lovely little part of the bush and visiting the kauri trees down the track. This was the first time i have experienced having my shoes - and my calves! - sprayed in an effort to prevent further spread of kauri die back . It was lovely walking through the the waitakere ranges again , some thing i have not done for many years and while i did not know prior where we were going once i got here i had to check for geocaches on the track and yes there were several to be found so that was a plus for me ! my friend enjoyed me locating them but with white shoes on she looked from a far ! It was great to find some regular sized caches in a metropolis . all was well with these caches and i took nothing and left nothing as i was not carrying any with me on the day ! . thank you for these cache Much appreciated
Dropped off a TB - South Racer 02 which had been picked up from Jurassic Park - Rotorua.
Out today with sapphire 247 and friends introducing them to geocaching and dog walking. The cache is dry despite the weather, the log has fallen apart, misuse rather than damp. As it is on our doorstep we will put create a log and drop it off. TFTC.
Found a TB - Slushy the Snowman, not listed in the cache, which we will move onto colder climes.

Out enjoying a pleasant walk in Spraggs Bush this morning. We don't appear to have ever cached in this reserve before, so don't know what it was like before it was rejuvenated. The track works that have been done certainly make it a nice place to visit. Thanks for bringing us here.
Popped through the track today to check on a few things and figured I’d also check / find the caches at the same time. This one is all good - a new log after another handful of visits. Thanks for establishing this one Supernanny!
Haven't been on this Track for ages......heaps of changes, nice board walk. Cool container should last a while. TFTC
Wish our pen was working. I liked this one because I didn’t even need the hint. Such a cool looking cache and an interesting place to hide it.
This is such a great section of the track with well constructed boardwalks and such large Kauri trees. Really great to walk among them and so awe inspiring we almost forgot to look for this cache.
The nice sized cache was quickly spotted, we love containers like this. Great swag inside too.
It was a bit exposed so we made sure it was tucked away out of sight.

I was out this way today, checking out some of the open walks in the area. After walking Cutty Grass Track to Anawhata Road and back again, I then stopped at Spraggs Bush for a bit of an explore. Weirdly only 2 of the 4 caches here appeared on my GPS, so I needed to rely on my phone (with its dodgy signal) to find a couple of them, but once at GZ I did manage to make quick finds of all 4 caches. Lovely patch of bush to walk through and lots of painted rocks/shells decorating the paths. Nice to find a good sized cache, so grabbed 2 TBs and dropped 2. Fav point added. TFTC!
A good sized container here, added 3 more TBs from my current haul and replaced a little less visible. All good and the track guy is till just ahead of me, pruning and tidying as he goes.
Not the day I was expecting today really. Headed out earlyish with a plan to do some small bush strolls and walks in non-KDD affected areas, then home via the grocery store to meet up with our son and his family. Unfortunately as we headed to Westgate the sky blackened and some rain began so a change of plans and the groceries were grabbed early and headed home to put away. With mrs capperz having a knitting target before Thursday deadline she stayed at home and I headed out for a nice total of 20 finds and quite a few supernannny caches to get ever closer to a century of finds. Thansk to all CO s for their placements.

Today's plan was just for a short walk with my daughter, granddaughter and younger son but the weather where we had planned to walk turned bad. They decided to go one way and I decided to go another. Off along the Scenic Drive and beyond to find a few caches. Last few caches for today were found along this track. And what a cool track it is too. Loved the new boardwalk sections. Thanks for bringing me out here to find a good sized container and TFTC, Biggles.
Out for a walk with Albert the geohound and very pleased as this was a track that our four footed friends are allowed on - and what a great job that they have done of doing the track up and making it safe for the kauri trees.
Got to GZ and correctly guessed where the cache would be first time and nice to find such a big cache. Dropped in an item of swag, took nothing and grabbed the travel bugs to move them along.
Thanks for the cache, all good here.

I was happy to see that the Geocaches in this park were rejuvenated. I need some numbers this year, so I came by and cleaned them all out. I couldn't miss this one even on the first try. TFTC.
YAY...my Big 2000th Cache find!
Good that it is a Supernannny one as she got me into this mad obsessive hobby!
Fave Point here.

Out collecting a few caches with Merlot for the Wonders of the World souvenir. Lovely new board walk to gz - we passed a cool painted rock of "Where's Wally" before we got to the LARGE kauri tree. Once at gz, the large cache container was soon in hand. Lots of cool swag in here!
The weather was a lot better than predicted so I arranged to meet Mrs Jag and come out here for a walk. What a lovely new boardwalk in this part of the bush and so perfect for a decent sized cache to be hidden under.
Nice easy cache.
Came here with Kaneclan and D10A10N on the bush walk.
TFTC!

Decided to stay in the area of Scenic Drive after doing Adventure Lab in Arataki.
Nice walk to cache location. Enjoyed this re-open trail. Beautiful kauri trees here. Parked my car at the end of Turanga Road. Dropped off TB too.

After the last cache here in Spragg's Bush, me and Pazza2 admired the new walkway. Me as a builder couldn't help but notice the planks under our feet were not made of timber. I can't be sure but I think they're made of recycled plastic. Obviously they will never rot!
So got here and this was a quick find. We're really enjoying the peace and tranquility this morning, much nicer than being at work that's for sure. Anyway gotta go and head back to work. (When I did return, the power had been turned of for street repairs and I had the rest of the day off anyway!). But that's another story for another cache page. {FTF} for me and Pazza2.
Thanks supernanny for the hides today. FTF#608

Gorby and I took some time to admire the handy building work and materials used to build a path and protect the Kauri. The walk here is stunning, and it sure beats going to work! Thanks for giving us a excuse not to rush off to work and to take time to smell ferns ( not the roses) Supernanny , and thanks for my 3rd ftf in one morning!
