Out for a brief drive whilst Mrs Msc20 is with family.A nice quick find although there was plenty of evidence of muggles disposing of their own treasure in the area. Thanks capperz#5549Logged using Cachly.
Final day (3) of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the West of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and then heading south getting some of the most northern caches in Auckland and then heading back to the airport for a flight back to Wellington. It rained on and off through the morning and some caches were done in pouring rain whilst others were in gaps in between. We signed the log as BIC for BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
Next up was the MM series. Quite a few DNF's but could have been due to rain that we didn't find them. Luckily some of them were "inside" and so we had a reprive from the rain. Thanks for the puzzles and series..
There were two hint objects. You want the one not near the building, but towards the tree cover...

09:54 Day 2 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
Initially looked at wrong hint object, BFG spotted the correct one!
TFTC capperz for placing this cache, number 11984 for me.

Great find. It was a little tricky with the fallen leaves etc but we got it!
We are travelling in convoy with Team Welsh this morning as we cache our way towards Whangarei. Some squally rain had passed by shortly before we got to the hall. We located the cache, then on our way back to the car we repositioned an ANZAC wreath that had falled from its spot by the memorial. TFTC
Seeing that this was a capperz cache we made sure to stop and find some treasure. Nice and quiet in the afternoon but signs that it would have been busier with an ANZAC service earlier on in the day. Many thanks for the cache.
Had to check out the treasure here. Quick snag and tag. Cheers.
Day 11, Sunday 30 January - Whangarie to Dargiville, and back. Then moved south to Puhoi Village. Toby had fun along Bayleys beach today. Roads stayed quiet till we got to wellsford then the traffic increased ten fold. We finally ran out of time, arriving in Puhoi Village in the dark, so stayed the night.
Zara, Toby, Lenny and I are on our North Island expidition for a couple of weeks. Got The Seagnoid along for the first 4 days, heading to the Auckland Mega. PWGTs and TMGTs are on the radar for this trip. Lots of driving on gravel roads and visited lots of amazing places on our 6000km road trip snagging 200+ caches along the way. Visiting Cape Reinga, Bay of Islands, Gisborne and White Rock along our journey. Another awesome trip. Thanks to all CO's.

Called in today to check the status of the listed trackables that I left here at the start of August. Mardi Gras was missing and TMNT was present so grabbed it out. All good here except that.
Took a bit to find as I was over thinking its placing. Found it in the end after taking a step back. TFTC
Great find. DON'T read the hint unless you need to! Lots of treasure, happy kids. Great time killer in Level 3. TFTC!
I decided to do this one before stopping in the nearby cafe for lunch.
Cheers for the cache.

Roadtrip time, day 7.
I have used the Easter weekend combined with taking 4 days leave this week to get in a 9-day driving tour, hoping to get as far north as 90 mile beach in order to seek the recently published PWGT caches throughout Northland, as well as catch up with 4 different sets of friends.
I had spent last night at the campground in Waipu, and today was looking to head over to the west coast of Northland and then onto 90 Mile Beach. I didn't know it as I started my day, but by tonight I will only have gotten as far as Opononi after a very full days caching.
This effectively a quick park n grab for me today. I had no trouble parking close to GZ and walking over to search for the cache, which was an easy find thanks to the helpful Hint.
I encountered no issues with either the container or the log, which was swiftly signed before the whole lot was replaced exactly as found. I even found a new pen on the ground near GZ. I wonder if it belonged to the previous finder?
Thanks for setting up and maintaining this cache.

Having a 6 day mini break up in Northland...
Most enjoyable getting caches in new areas.
En route from Dargaville to Whangarei via Highway 14 this afternoon....Had a time constraint as my airbnb host was going out at 6.
Only time for 1 cache stop on this leg of the journey...
Chose this....pulled over; opened up for description and hint.
Woah!
It's a Capper one!
Very quick find due to clear description.
Dropped off some supernannny toys for the little capper boys!
Cheers!

Nice easy grab to end our afternoon doing the Nicholson Family caches on Omana Road. Time to head home to feed the cats, horses and chickens. TFTC 739
A quick detour out to get this one. A good find and easy too. Picked up the travel bugs. TFTC.
I'm just back from Auckland where I visited my new Grand child. My husbands family live and run a limeworks in Otaika Valley Rd. We lived in the area too for a while and used to attend the community Anzac services here each year. A quick find of the cache today which fills in a dot day on my calendar, TFTC
On the way up north, with the elder Future Finder, to visit family, so, thought we would break up the trip with a few caches along the way. This was our last stop before making it to our destination. We parked up at the front of the hall and I wandered around the back in search of treasure. The first spot I checked was no good, but following the GPSr closer to GZ soon revealed a likely looking hidey hole; closer inspection confirmed the find of the well stocked geocache. Cheers for the cache placement!
Called by while in the area. Soon had the cache located with the hint. Nice stash of goodies in the cache. TFTC
Saw this new cache pop up but waited for the weekend. Went for a drive with kids and stopped in here on way past. Made a quick find. Tftc.
Had just arrived home from a committee meeting at the western end of town, when notification of this new cache popped up. Well, it's been quite some time since I've been on an FTF chase, so even though I was retracing my travels from a few minutes before, I headed off into the night with thick fog coming down everywhere and made good time out to Maungatapere.
At the hall, I parked up and headed in the direction of the cache. An unusual experience with the LED headlamp and thick fog. Thanks to the good coords though and the descriptive hint, the cache was soon located, less than three quarters of an hour after being published.
And yes, as sort of expected, the log was still blank so this becomes FTF number 153 for me @ 9:55pm. Lots of nice treasures inside, so exchanged a couple of items and also left an Extag and dropped in a TB in the good sized cache.
Thx Capperz for placing this new cache and allowing me to start getting back into it, after the covid hiatus.
