Gz about 9m back but obvious big rockHeaded out today to complete this series and what a joy! The caches were all easy finds with fantastic hints, the road was nice and quiet and the CO used commonsense with placement! We chose wisely (accidentally) and every cache was on the left for saz to jump out and grab! Every stop was placed with good parking as well! Love the name of the road you chose....very apt!We had so much wildlife on our journey today, the black cockatoos were amazing plus we saw so many sheep, cows, horses etc.We started our day at 1157am and completed at 207pm, finding all 55 of this series with not a single DNF! We will add notes as needed but most will be generic logs and fave points added throughout! Some of the logs seemed full but still plenty of room to sign in between names, replaced as needed.Thank you crabzy11 for placing and maintaining Hawkes Bay. for us and others to find and enjoy!

Decided to make today the day to find as many of these caches that we could. Jasmine was at the wheel, kicking me out at each location. Most were easy finds, but 1-2 DNFs in the end. All logs were signed as JKJS, except for the large container off Albany highway which was signed with full names. Thanks for the series! We will be back for the challenge caches just south of here when we qualify for a few more of them.

Down in Albany over Christmas and New Years so we decided to make today the day to find as many of the convoy series caches as we can. I drove along stopping at every cache, kicking @jamesknowlson out to sign the log at each cache and occasionally helping search on the trickier ones. Most of the caches were easy finds, but ended up with 1-2 DNFs in the end. All logs were signed as JKJS, except for the large container off Albany highway which was signed with full names. Thanks for placing and maintaining this series! We will be back for some challenge caches nearby once we qualify Smile

Headed out with the MICKS (Meme28, I C Nothing,Cirrus_WA, Kapalua and me SirFancy) crew and Burns345.
We got a lot done and headed to the CITO event then got a few more before lunch, after lunch we jumped in to different peoples FWDs and headed out as a much larger group, there was mud and fun.
Ended the day with good food surrounded by good people.

Cache in good condition.

This is my 3255 find.
Thank you crabzy11 for placing and maintaining this cache.

Today we picked up where we had to leave off yesterday due to the heavy rain. The weather was perfect all day today for caching together with ilook4geo. We had no problem in finding the rest of this series and all the caches were in good condition. Thank you, crabzy11, for placing all these caches.

Quick find on Father-Son day out. Our geo-kid loves this set of caches. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this series.

25-Mar-22
This series has been taunting me on the map ever since it was published. With so many quality caches to do in Albany, it's been hard to convince any of my fellow geocachers to spend time doing a power trail. I found myself doing a solo drive to Bremer this afternoon, so decided it was an apt time to take a 'shortcut' by bypassing Albany town and taking this road instead. I only had time to make a small dent on the series, as I was wanting to beat the roos, but its a start. All caches were reasonably quickly found, despite my phone signal being very limited (recommend you save these offline before you head out). TFTC Smile

The ships of the First Convoy is an excellent concept on which to base this series of caches. This afternoon we went to look for the caches. We were pleased that the road was sealed but had little traffic.

Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks crabzy11 for the cache and the series.

Be very careful here , fire has gone through and there is a very dangerous branch that is just hanging off big black tree , cache is not there . But you might think it is . Look up before walking under .

What a cracker of a day. Headed out to finally get this lot done.

Most were quick finds, a couple had me searching for a bit and had to bypass 2 due to bluechip harvesting operations with a front row seat to the caches.

No snakes which was surprising too. Still a fair bit of water about the place.

Thanks for the series crabzy11

Cheers

We expected to be camping in Shark Bay this week, but had to cancel due to the cyclone. After booking the first affordable airbnb away from the weather we could find, we found ourselves staying at a winery not too far from this series. Mr atCat was ready for a day of relaxing but I wanted adventure, so I left him on toddler duty while I went out caching.

This was my first proper power trail and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Over 3 hours I found all caches in the series and made sure to stop to take in the beautiful scenery once in awhile! Despite the recent rains, all caches and logs were still in good condition. Most coords seemed good, but I mostly relied on the hints and following the obvious tracks from previous finders

TFTC and the fun, crabzy11

Quick find here

I have a month off from work so a family road trip was planned covering parts of the Goldfields, Great Southern and South West.

Today I had planned a solo morning (at least) of grabbing caches between Denmark and Albany. The rest of the family wanted a day to rest and relax in the Airbnb we had rented. Crazy people. I mean, who does that on holiday, right.

I headed out early to grab the freshly published labs in Denmark and then headed for Albany.

crabzy11 SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache Hawkes Bay today at 10:24:08 9 Nov 2020. This brings my find count to 4467

crabzy11 - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

Spent the day with iluvtrekking picking up this great series. Had no trouble finding any of them except Suffolk which was missing and we replaced. It was getting pretty warm as we made our way along the road so we were on the lookout for slitheries but fortunately encountered none while searching. Thanks Crabzy11 for a great day out.

Found it. TFTC crabzy11. Still had a visa so I crossed the border and headed south into the deep dark depth of the unknown. Stayed in Albany over night and in the morning the vehicle was facing East. So, that will be the direction I go today. I noticed on Settlement road there was a cache or 2 or 3 or, well you know the rest. So I took that route. I managed to get all the smileys with no DNF's. All were reasonably quick finds but as usual there were those that took a little extra time. This is a great series.

29-Aug-20
Had a few hours spare before checking into our accomodation in Albany for 3 nights and saw this little series we thought we’d try a few. It was very cloudy today so we thought we’d try get as many as possible before the rain soaked us. Thanks for this series and thanks for the cache!

Out with Gma allinaday to find some caches today. I had fun learning to use the gps and then finding the caches. Thanks crabzy11.

28-Aug-20
Today was another one of those perfect Albany spring days, even though its not quite spring yet. Not one to waste a glorious day of sunshine, decided to tackle this trail. Love the theme, especially after all the research into our lab cache, a number of these ships were almost quite familiar. With one littleblonde in tow, we set off up the highway, only to realise we should have started from the Chester Pass Road end. Not to be deterred, we drove down the road to the end and started again. We enjoyed the variety of hides, some of which were a bit tricky to find. I found that my gps was not very accurate on these caches, which was a bit unusual. Because of this, we relied quite a bit on the hints, which were very welcome for our searches. Thanks crabzy11 for placing another great little series along this by now familiar road. We enjoyed our day finding them.

25-Aug-20
A perfect day for grabbing a few caches, this series has been on the radar for a while. Thanks for the series Smile

18-Aug-20
Firstly want to say sorry for the cut and paste logs but with a series this size I would be here forever with individual logs. With that said, what a great idea for a series in the Albany and great effort by everyone involved in setting this series up. We enjoyed it from start to finish with the bit variety between each hide. Most of them we found quickly but a couple had us searching. Most of the coordinates were spot on and the others were more than likely my gps due to the rainy cloud covered day. Through most of the series we hardly seen a car on the road but for about the last half dozen it was busier than St Georges Tce. We found all the series and added our names to all the logs. We returned your caches back to where we found them. Really enjoyed this series. TFTC & S crabzy11.

Had a quick trip to Albany with axell33 for a family event which gave us an opportunity for some southern smilies! After some caches around Albany we set our sights on this series! I love the historical tribute. Thanks for placing this cache and the series. Greetings from Baldivis.
