Maybe that's the box? If so, the location needs to be covered... I personally don't think it's very nice to hide caches and secure things
GPS all over the place, probably due to all the steel work and RF interference in the area. Lots of muggles. TFTC
Found at 12:20 PM GAFF3.We waved at the security cameras and said G'day - but nothing happened Gosh - this town is unrecognisable since our last visit in 2009! From a backward industrial town with aging and demolished infrastructure to this wonderful clean and beautiful town - congratulations people! Thanks to Bundyrumandcoke
We stayed over night at the Tannum Sands campground. This morning we proceeded north and passed by Gladstone. In the harbour areas we found this little box. Thanks a lot for this traditional cache ,Murkel,on tour with Muckel1 26. September 2024 10:40
Gladstone day 2. Gladstone we are camped at the showgroundsHeaded into the harbour area to do a couple of AL & a few caches.Such an interesting area, we visit this area whenever we come to GladstoneFP given for the areaThanks Bundyrumandcoke for hiding this cache.
It's a harbour town around here. A nice straightforward find here today. After staying in Dululu overnight, we discussed options on directions, always so many choices, but the one was made to head towards Rockhampton via an earthcache and down the Bruce. Other options had more appeal, but left for a time when there was more of it. Listening to the radio that the section of road between Rockhampton and Gladstone was the most notorious for fatalities as we drove had us revaluation our option. Not from the report so much, but from the many near misses we saw while on it. Gladstone was a new discovery for me, having never visited. Big ships and tugboats, but a lovely day exporing about through caching.1770, with a name like that was a destination. Arriving very late afternoon with just enough light to see the pretty area, very popular and busy, but can see why. Black sands on the beach, a sunset and an AL to show us around. A short but nice visit then off till a cache stop found a good site to set ip camp overnight on the way to Bundaberg. Thanks for your cache that guided us about.
Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Next up to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. Started the day at Dululu and then headed to Westwood for an Earth cache. Back to Rockhampton and then onwards to Gladstone. Finally out to 1770 for the EC and Ad Lab.An interesting container. Nice quick find.
Good location and hint helped. Thanks bundyrumandcoke. Replaced log as other was mush.
Fast find in a nice area, thanks for highlighting it. We enjoyed re-visiting it. Signed KATO (KabbellaQld and ToucanKB). Tftc
Great hide! This is my first cache back after a bit of a hiatus. I get to enjoy a find while I work The log has been wet and is all munted
Found it! Nice easy find by eye right at GZ. Unfortunately these tins are aging and as previously noted quite wet. If the next cacher comes past with a repair kit it could do with a new log at least. Ill have to create one for my next trip. Tried to sign it but with my pencil and the wet paper did not mark well. There was a small 3D printed trinket inside. Photo spoils the container showing its condition but not the location. Find #9 for this travelling newbie from Perth. TFTC
Searched for about 30 mins on and off because of muggles. Tried all the places hinted in the logs but still couldn't find it
Thanks a nice walk down near the big ships. Lid has broken loose and log a little damp when found.
Been on 2 cruises in the last few weeks, but I never knew one stops in Gladstone. Must overrun the city for a day I guess with tourists. Tftc
#4405 First time in Gladstone, first cache found here. Nice hide. Cheers from Canberra.
Today I have a rest after 29 days on the road. I slept until the lunch, wash my cloths and than I went to see Gladstone. A relatively nice port town with many beautiful parks, where the locals spent a sunny Saturday picnic. I spent a pleasant afternoon hunting for caches and I didn't find just one where a lady was sitting on it and reading. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.
Were pretty sure we found the spot after looking through all the hints, but still couldnt find it today. Well keep trying to secure our first cache!
Unfortunately for me and muggles around there so DNF for me Thank you for placing the cache Bundyrumandcoke.

Old photo helped as coords are 12 m out. After QOGM 2023 in Longreach, TBU went on a round trip via Mount Isa, Burketown, Karumba, Ravenshoe, Atherton Tablelands down to Innisfail to Townsville. Now we are heading towards South back home, still refreshing our memories and collecting smileys. It was a nice variety of hides and we bumped into couple of cachers on the way. Thanks for this cache, Bundyrumandcoke
