Done and dusted strange looks from a few muggles like I was going to rob something#found#glassladybug
#15,559. Park, walk and grab at the Princes Drive Lookout on Princes Drive in Britannia Heights, Nelson. Great views here. The GZ was fortunately pretty quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*---### LET US HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!! ###On **May 3rd, 2025**, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in **Rotorua, New Zealand** with a special **Block Party** event. Found with Livyboo23 just as the sun was settling for the night. Beautiful spot. TFTC
Super cool find!!! What a beautiful sunset to go with it. Found with Amarana11, relatively quiet, no muggles around. Returned to how it was found. Thank you for the cache!
On a Cosmic Quest today on an effort to get closer to 100 points for a souvenir. While we ended up a few points short we made a dent in the amount left that will now be achievable.Had called in on this cache a few other times but have since found out it had been missing. Not so today, as the find was made with ease. Thanks paddle chick for the quick replacement of this cache. All good here.TFTC paddle chick#9824
Finally able to check on the cache with no muggles around. New cache now in place
Not too sure about this - knew what to look for but couldn't find today. It will be a bit embarrassing if we have missed it.
A plan was hatched between myself, the Seagnoid, YetiNZ and TwigNZ to convene in Nelson to attempt to get a first to find on puzzle we had solved at our recent puzzle evening. 'The boys' are flying from Wellington on Sunday, while I drove up from Christchurch on Saturday. Unfortunately I received the notification while driving through the Lewis Pass that the FTF had been claimed, but hey, a day caching in Nelson still sounds fab. While the boys were all looking *over there* I had a quick look *over here* and found the sneaky hiding place. Thanks for the cache.
I could have sworn I had collected the Nelson CANZ some time ago. And it turns out I had, but that cache is now archived. So here we are again, same place. Took us a bit to find it., despite that there are not a lot of hiding places under there! Great views from here, too.---TwigNZ, YetiNZ and I came down form Wellington to meet up with That Darn Bear who came up from Christchurch to attempt a empty log book. Alas that got found a few hours before we arrived, darn it. But we are here now, so started on interesting areas of Nelson. Log signed as MYST. Because we somhow thought that would represent TwigNZ, YetiNZ, the Seagnoid and ThatDarnBear. Yeah, I know. I don't get it either!
Today I was spending my day in Nelson with YetiNZ, ThatDarnBear and the Seagnoid on a impromptu geo-trip. We had hoped to get a FTF on a solved puzzle but there were many other reasons for being here, not least of which is that it is such a wonderful part of our nation to visit and explore and I always enjoy coming here.As is usual for us in these circumstances, we attempted to come up with a team name for the day. Typically it's a play on caching initials, and occasionally we struggle due to a lack of vowels! But we had a Y, so we decided to be team MYST for the day even though we didn't have an M. I guess we just liked the name, but in any case MYST were Myself, YetiNZ, the Seagnoid and ThatDarnBear. In spite of being to Nelson on at least 3 previous occasions as a cacher, I hadn't previously sought out this cache. Luckily for me, 2 others of our party also needed it so we made our way here to look for it. I'm glad we did too as the views from here are fantastic! It took a wee while for us to make the find (found by TDB) as it wasn't in either of the more obvious hide locations. But good to be here and finally tick this one off. Thanks for setting this cache up.
A last minute Sunday jaunt to Nelson for the day was originally planned around a hopeful first to find of a recently published puzzle cache. Sadly, it was a gamble that did not pay off. However the four of us that made the the trip all had plenty of unfound geocaches in the area and so the day was spent driving around and collecting key geocaches for various needs and / or wants, or sometimes just because they were there and so were we. Special thanks go to That Darn Bear for being our personal shuttle service for the day, and putting up with the rest of us behaving like the backseat driving Geocaching children that we are.A slightly trickier hide than expected, but good to knock off another in this series. Maybe one day I'll finish it.All logs were signed with the team name of MYST, to represent myself (YetiNZ), the Seagnoid, That Darn Bear, and Twig NZ.---Thanks to paddle chick for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
This took me a good while even co-ords and clue were spot on. Well worth a favourite, tftc
Searched all over the place for this one, couldn't find it. Will have to give it another go.
312. Hey from Aus, found yesterday. Less of a micro, more of a small. Camo cache just sitting there minding its own business. A very cool lookout, thanks for taking me here
And so I said to tRouver "this would be a great place to hide one" and ... voil! VERY Cleverly crafted cache, thank you
This has gotta be one of the best views in Nelson. Easy find between passing foot traffic. Thanks paddle chick!!
Just arrived from the North Island heading over to Blenheim, but took my time to stop for a cache or two or three Well foundTftc
Having arrived at the place we are staying in Nelson we had supper then decided to pop out for a quick explore and grabbed a few caches. We parked up and began to search - took far longer than it should but Viv spotted the familiar containerTFTCTim and Viv - ddm

Very clever. Be curious. Great view anytime of day. Good to find the official 1 of Nelson. Bit hard to figure the code but got a photo of evidence.
Quick find for L7Son but he was in such a hurry to find the next one that we forgot to check for the code! Noobs
Day 3 with Supernannny and Net61 in Nelson exploring this part of the country. We had to wait for a muggle to put his rubbish in the bin before zooming in for a quick find here.
There was no sign of the CANZ code in the cache.

Well I came back to get the code I missed getting and noticed the log sheet didn't have my name on it, thinking maybe it's been replaced with . So unsure a new one. So I took a photo of both sides and went home.
Looked up the cache and found some names weren't on the Geocaching logs and different dates. So unsure what's going on.

What a beautiful view point here, nice! Took me quite a while to find the container, mainly because I was not looking for the type of hide it turned out to be. Anyway, eventually found and opened but could not locate the CANZ code. Contacted CO to see if I missed it or that maybe it's missing. Either way, great cache here, thanks & favo!
Quick find for another in the series ️ But couldn’t see a code. Cheers paddle chick!
I had 2 dnf's on the original cache years ago. I was fairly new to caching at the time, and I assume it was my inexperience that caused this. Or maybe I just wasn't good enough.
Annienz told me that there was a different cache here now, so I stopped for a look and made a quick find.

I see now why the original cache was archived, the specially made hiding spot is no more. No need to worry about gardeners I'd say, they must have given up on the idea of having a garden here. When I was here a year ago, on an aborted attempt at a find and retrieve mission there was fine gravel, now it's just grass and weeds. No problems accessing the cache today. Thanks!
Out grabbing a few caches to move closer to the 100 souvenir. A quick find while in the area today. I had also found the original. Thanks for the cache.
Out on a walk with the dogs on this sunny morning. This one was on my to do as I'm not to far away. Nice quick find but signing the log was a different story while holding on to the dogs at the same time. Great views today. I wish I had bought my phone to take a picture. Cheers.
Quick find while showing family around the area on a beautiful Nelson day. Found with Buzzybe. Tftc
Great wee spot for a geocache! I added a wee log book (but still some room on the existing piece of paper), new plastic bag and silica satchet Thanks PC!
Cache check, container replaced. I forgot to include the CANZ code, if anyone finds it in the next day or so before I can get back to add it I will happy give them the code.
Didn’t find in the place that matched the description. Not sure if it’s still around
Thought I had found the place which seemed to fit the descriptions but no cache found.
I have been here before, for the previous incarnation of CANZ: I was keen to find today a cache places in 9/2021 to fill a gap.
Thanks for this cache, paddle chick. At last the sun is out & caching has retuned to my agenda.

Nice, quick find. I see the log had just earlier been signed by a family in a white ute that we were chase caching from the one further up the hill. Stunning view. TFTC.
Finally a fine day to get out for some fresh air so chores were ignored and off we went.
This was a spur of the moment decision to look for this when we were detoured after leaving the supermarket and deciding to take the scenic route home.
Initially I walked straight past the cache while looking for something quite different but spotted it quick enough from a different angle.
Thank you paddle chick.

The blue in the sky that had been absent for days sent a clear message: time to go caching. A small list was soon drawn up and away we went. We worked down our small list and were looking forward to some late lunch. With cones as far as the eye could see from the supermarket car park it was decided to take the scenic route using Princess Drive. It did remind Holymu of the CANZ 2 cache and with the perfect parking spot we just couldn't not stop and have a look. On the second inspection of GZ the perfectly blended container was recognised for what it was and the log soon signed. Thank you paddle chick
