Off on our annual birthday caching trip, Purrfect Di, Mattycat and Jack coming along for the ride...
This year it's cleaning out Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park time. Something I started back on new year's eve 2012/2013 with two of my sons!

Today for Matty's 19th (maths...cats...) , on the 19th, we found 19 caches... yours was one of them !

No dogs... but us cats snuck in Razz

We are grateful to earthlight for planning and maintaining this cache on our ever growing SA cache map!

Cool

Travelling all over wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin
Heaps of the luck stuff really !!!

*Most of the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course*.**

---
Beware ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]

Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside Big Grin

Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

We do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Big Grin [:o)] Wink

The end. For now...

After an early start to the day in Edithburgh, we headed out on a coolish day with iluvtrekking to grab some finds in Innes NP and others a bit further afield. Thanks Earthlight

Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We set off early on a cold and cloudy morning with the threat of rain, which fortunately didn't eventuate. We enjoy the small towns, beaches, cliffs, history and ruins we encounter along the way. Thanks for your cache Earthlight.

We are camped at Yorketown to enable us to find a few more of the Gone Fishn' caches and while here we are picking up other caches that we have missed on our other trips to the Peninsular. This cache is in good condition and there was not a muggle in sight when we collected the cache. SL TFTC

This was definitely a WTY experience. We stopped off and managed to find a car park in the crowded car park - popular spot. H423L went this way so I followed. Then I seemed to get in front. Then we swapped.

It went like this and we went bush bashing for a fair way as we simply followed the arrow like the good old days.

We then came upon the track and then the cache. Great!!.

The track was followed back for an easier exit and a few more caches. We talked, admired the old phone box and figured it would be great to stay at one of these places for some R&R one day. Perhaps......

Thanks to earthlight and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

Out for a stroll with Southern Cross Caching around Innes National Park. We started walking at Inneston and cached our way back to Stenhouse Bay, following the old railway line and the fire trail spurs.
There was very interesting history here, I was only vaguely aware of the fact that a train used to run along here. It would have been interesting seeing it operating, probably not at shinkansen speeds Wink
The houses around Inneston have been well preserved and it would be good to book one sometime for a stay.
To get to this one we bush bashed, watching carefully for garden rakes. The bush became thicker and thicker until suddenly we were on a path and then it was easy.

This cache was found using a Garmin GPS 64s at 10:41:00 AM and was 3 of 28 finds today.
Thanks earthlight

Found while caching with Shonkylogic for the day. I came over to start on the power trails but this was a much more inviting thanks for a great trail and enjoyable walk.

Cheers and Happy Hunting

We followed the fire trail to GZ from the main road. It is a more direct route than the trails through town. The cache was found in the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

After a walk the cache was quickly found. On to the next one.

Was over at Innes for an Adelaide Canoe Club kayaking weekend, where we paddled Dolphin Beach to Browns Beach one day, and then Dolphin Beach to Pondalowie boat ramp the next day.
This was my last cache to find in Innes, so walked from the carpark into Inneston and along the track and found the cache - super accurate coords made for a quick find. Log signed and then back to the car.

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.

Today, after participating in Edithburgh parkrun, I met gridge98 at Marion Bay, and we travelled through Innes National Park. We drove up to Browns Beach, and then made our way back visiting and hiking Royston Head, West Cape Lightstation, Ethel Beach, Cape Spencer Lighthouse, and the historic township of Inneston. With a few hours left before the Edithburgh dinner event, we separated and I decided to head north to visit a few Yorke Peninsula oldie geocaches. Following dinner, gridge98 and I walked from Edithburgh to Coobowie find the *Where Ancestors Walked By the Sea* series.

We walked around this old Inneston historic town, finding this cache as we passed through. This was our final geocache in the area as we decided to not walk any further along this trail, and this cache took a few minutes to find to locate the right tree. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [@earthlight](http://coord.info/PR39X1P) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A nice walk around this area today. The cache here was easily found and is all in good order

A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.

Thanks for the cache

Found during a day trip from Wool Bay while over on Yorke Peninsula for the week. Enjoyed the drive across with some scenic views of rugged coastline and sandy beaches. With the ten cache finds for the day it now clears up every cache for me in the Southern half of the Peninsula. Thanks for the cache earthlight!

earthlight wanted to go to Cape Spencer lighthouse and Inneston todayCool So yesterday she had kindly asked me to travel with her [:X]Cool
We took my car so that I could take Rex[^] and left about 7.15am from my place and returned about 9.30pm[|)][xx(]Smile
Throughout the day we saw gorgeous sights[^] under grey skies, then sunny skies and enjoyed watching the water change its colours as the sky changed itsCool
Rex ran himself ragged on beaches chasing pelicans and seagulls and on dirt roads sniffing the scents of rabbits, foxes and roosSmileCool
By day's end I had 1 SadDNFSad and 15 Smilecache finds Cool Actually make that 16 Smilecache finds as I am now logging this cache, since I beta tested it when it was placed![^]Smile[^]

What was funnyRazz was I got back to the Corolla after we'd placed this cache, to find a ranger waiting for meSurprisedWink
We had a discussion where he tried to tell me that I couldn't bring Rex into the ParkSurprised[?]TwistedSurprised and that I would receive a 'letter' about having an assistance dog in a Park areaWink Interestingly that letter did not ever arrive[^]CoolWink
