As a reward for being brave getting a covid jab, we decided to grab a few caches today.
It was a quick walk to GZ and the clue gave no doubt as to the hiding place, however the 'brace' in question had been dismantled and was on the ground.
We checked around it without any luck and looked further away in case it had been dispensed with. We did find the lid of a pill bottle which confirmed our suspicions.
We're logging this with permission from the CO.
Thanks for setting this up - sorry it's disappeared. Nice area though

#12,536. A nice little walk in Gonville, Whanganui. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Unfortunately, all we found was the hint item on the ground, and the cache lid. Appreciate the cache owner’s permission to log as found.
Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and …

Found by youngest of our clan - didn’t know this wetlands existed so enjoying the walk - tftc
Picking up a few of the Wanganui caches remaining and missed on a previous visit. Tucked away nicely. Thanks Arcane-NZ
Another trip to Whanganui to find more caches. Nice little walk into GZ. Thanks Arcane_NZ for the cache.
Interesting place! Bit of a trek through a bit of Wanganui we haven't been to before. TFTC
Even though this cache has been found recently we thought it’d been a small while since we’ve wandered out here.
A quick walk this afternoon to GZ, it took me a moment to remember where Arcane Jr placed this cache.
All is good here.

A pleasant spot for a late afternoon walk. This was a nice quick find. All in good order. TFTC
I picked up Miss 11 from a friends place this afternoon so took this opportunity to sneak in a cache before heading home so with Miss 11 and geo-dog as company we headed off from Elm Street (there's a sneaky lil path from here that leads into the Wetlands) towards GZ. At GZ we quickly found the cache but alas, we had no pen with us so we headed back to the car and sure enough there was the pen I was going to take sitting on my seat [:(!]. So with geo-dog I jogged back to GZ and this time I was able to sign the log .
Thanks for the cache

I thought I had been to every nook and cranny of Whanganui but I didn't know this area existed!
Very nice find with woolwood9 on a little trip away!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (May be black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We really enjoyed the tour around from cache to cache!*
Good walk after dark tonight, soon had the container located.

After battling the strong winds for much of the day, it was great to be able to walk in a shaded area. Caching with The Wandering Dragons, we had no trouble tracking down the cache's hiding place.
Cache # 4,934 - quick find with brucewwnz today. All good here. TNLNSL. TFTC! Lovely area!
(# 6428). This weekend I traveled up to Wanganui primarily to attend the famous Rattl Christmas event on te Sunday. So what could be better than going up one day early in order to grab a few caches. The weather treated me well and it was a successful trip. A quick find. Everything in order. Thanks for bringing me here.
Nice and quiet down here, shame about the litter dumping.
It's that time of year again when we try and get out there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and my birthday the next day. This time we matched it up with a trip to Whanganui to see our daughter and the ever changing/developing granddaughter Kaiah. After the weekend with them we headed to Hawkes Bay for a 4 day stay in Havelock North which started off with rain but fined up nicely and finished the week well. A good break from home and plenty done and seen (as usual). Not huge numbers of finds but 22 adventure labs, the 4 TMGTs in Napier, a couple more CANZ caches and a few Virtuals as well as some other treats, T F T C to all COs.

Visiting Whanganui for a week. Nice to have some new caches to look for. This is definitely a place that I would not have discovered unless caching. Enjoyed the circular walk through the tunnel of tree and then out along the open field. Only disappointment was the rubbish which would make it a great place for a CITO. Thanks for the smiley.
THIRD time Lucky! First time I had my co-ords wrong; second time I had the hints back-to-front?
Tried again today. And there it was.

A bike trip around Whanganui with JonoS logging new caches. Its great to have Arcane and his boys and his wife putting down new caches and finding spots that a new to us. Lovely that the boys are so enthusiastic. have been meaning to expolore this path before. It is a flat path and able to be ridden watcing out for sticks glass and stones. A pity that it doesnt have an exit. This was a quick find in a beautiful place to walk. TFTC
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT IS VERY ISOLATED AND TAKE SOMEONE WITH YOU AND GO IN DAYLIGHT HOURS.

Once again I am in Wanganui for the weekend (from Wellington) working on filling the area with smiles. I saw some new caches appear a few days ago, so they were first on my list to get. All good here, as expected. TFTC.
Saw some new caches which appeared to have not been found despite being online for a while.
After tea and still no logs so off I go. Didn’t know this area existed. Parked up and made my way to GZ where cache was quickly found, and what do you know a clean log sheet making this 1 of 4 {FTF} found tonight.
SL and left as found. Thanks for the placement Arcane_NZ.
