Out again with Honey the pup, this was an easy find, sitting on a rock out in the open. Its now a little less obvious from the track. Thanks again Hosan
So we found it but it was sort of misplaced and the log fell out but we found it again and tried to put it back properly
Again thought this one was a sure thing but still no luck. Gave one the trail for now as we were all getting to hot. Maintenance possibly needed
Found a distinctive pink rock on the rocky side and non-rocky side, but no cache. Might need checking.
Unfortunately it is not there, must have been taken or fallen through the rocks

Out on a morning ride to clean up the dam wall. After a bad start with the entrance being closed. Thanks for hiding these small series.

The dam wall ‘will not beat us’. A quick survey yesterday told us to come back with the bikes to do the rest of this series. A great path to bike cache, a nice breeze and birdlife, a surprise at how big the reservoir is.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Her stature is that of a palm and her breasts are like two clusters of fruit. I say to myself, I will climb the palm and take hold of its fruit! -Songs of Solomon 7:7-8
1 Corinthians 10:4
For they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.
We had to have a second attempt with this one on the way back because there were so many pink rocks! But once we realised to stick close to the path, we had more success.
Today was forecast for a cloudy day with a possible late afternoon shower, so we decided that we would ride out to the Dam and do the caches there. It was only 18 klm each way, plus the extra for riding along the wall. Everything was going well until the weather started closing in and we were at the far end of the dam wall, and we started getting a few scattered showers. Grabbed a few today with a couple of DNF's. As we were riding back to the caravan, it looked like we had missed the heaviest of the rain closer into town as the road and cycle way were very wet, so we got the obligatory mud strip up our backs 'Again'.
Another DNF on the way out, but Mrs Snakepitters managed to spot it on the return, really not sure why the hint is pink rock
Thanks Orth71 for the caches.

Total Cache Finds 12907,
We could not find this one on our outward trip, however on our return trip we decided to have another go and found it within two minutes!
On the day we were heading out of Townsville towards charters towers, we had a small opportunity to visit just a few of these hides in this series. We would like to have visited more, however we enjoyed the short walk we managed before heading back to the car to continue our drive west.
Thanks Orth71 for this series. I hope we can come back to complete it.

Found at 9:06:00 AM(t) GAFF5 in the company of Geono & DiMorgan
This one was a bit easier to locate as there was a distinctive rock to look for.
Thanks Orth71.

TheTownsville Mega Event finished but having another week in town to do more caching & sight seeing.
Today hubby teamed up with geono & pprass to ride the dam wall on their bikes.
After some discussion it was decided to meet at the dam at 8.30am before it got too hot.
By the end of the morning they were pleased to see the last of the rocks.
Thankyou Orth71 for placing this cache.

After narrowing down the number of pink rocks to 50, I managed to complete a relatively quick find.
We had a very mixed day out caching today. We decided to head back to the trails on the Ross River and work our way further south as well as take some side diversions to collect additional caches and pre-solved puzzles. We found a variety of hides and encountered some differing types of caches as well and had a few DNFs.
The tails are on well defined and surfaced track so are great for bike riding. And no real hills! A real bonus.
The day started coolish and humid, good for riding, but once we reached the dam wall trail it began to appear a bit bleak. We pressed on regardless, but only got half way through before the heavens opened and it began to rain quite heavily. Very unusual for this time of year the locals tell us!
We decided to abandon the trail at this time and returned to the car getting thoroughly soaked by the time we got there. At least we weren't cold though.
Hopefully weather permitting we will be able to return and complete the series before we move on.
Our thanks to the local COs for their work on developing the caches. It is most appreciated.
Great little cache hidden where I least expected it until reading through other logs and deciding I was over complicating things and then it was just a step away. Beautiful evening for a winters walks. High muggle zone after 4pm TFTC
Out geocaching with Ree8. This one was the last for today as it was getting late and we have places to go and things to do! The hint is correct but considering how many there are...ugh BUT, Ree8 soon spied something she thought didn't look right and another smiley is added to the collection. TNLN SL TFTC
On a road trip heading north to Cairns. Planned a free day in Townsville for caching. Needing a good walk after 3 days in the car!! Thanks Orth71 for the trail and the cache
A few hours of caching with the lovely Greencordial.
Tricky little hide but all AOK Thanks for all of the adds to our regions game board Orth71

Adventure time with my favourite EatSleepCacheOnline. We were going to go for climbs that involved ladders but my ladder was a bit behind everything in the garage. We were super excited to get to start this trail.
Thanks Orths for your great work around TSV with keeping our game going.

On our day of caching in the Ville. Due to unforeseen circumstances we started our trek in the middle of the day. This is going to be exhausting. Unusually there seems to be many muggles around on a Monday in the middle of the day. Really why do people do that, at least we have an excuse, crazy geocachers TFTC.
Finally some break in the rain. Plenty of pink rocks here, but the easiest way is usually the best. Thanks for this powertrail
With overseas travel currently out of the question and state border closures still a lurking as possibilities, my family and some close friends decided that travelling to North Queensland was our best option for a Christmas/New Year escape.
We arrived in Townsville yesterday afternoon and this morning I headed out early before sunrise to grab some caches around Castle Hill while the rest of the family were still in bed asleep. It was then time to head back to collect the family to drop them off for the ferry to Magnetic Island. With that job done, I was free to continue my day geocaching, so headed back to Castle Hill to finish off my to-do list there. With heavy rain starting to fall in town I decided to head out of town where the rain was not falling and the dam seemed like a good place to go. That was until the rain followed me and started to pour rain as soon as I reached the dam wall walk. I started at cache 13, parking below the dam wall, and walked south before heading north to #8. Returning to the car I drove around to the top car park and completed the rest of the trail. All caches found on my to do list. TFTC

Found on the return trip, but was about to call it and move on, well hidden. Been out here 2 hours and they are all starting to blend. Had a few misses between 2 and 8. Thanks again Orth71.
13/11/20 18:28 clicked on the hint when pressing for the description on the approach. Kind of made it too easy at that point. Thanks for placing these. Beautiful time of the day to be doing this. Nice breeze too Orth71
{FTF} 2/11/20. 10:13pm.
I was heading to soccer when these dropped. Maybe the 3-2 loss could be attributed to my focus being elsewhere. In the final whistle I headed straight to this game and subbed in for Ben as he ran out of battery.
Opted for protection over balance choosing studs over thongs.
With just 20% battery and only the phone’s torch I made quick work of the first six enjoying the hunt in the moonlight before calling time out and leaving the other six for others.
I’ll be back another day to walk/cycle the rest.
Great location, coordinates and walk that I hope will see future extension.
And always great to grab an FTF early in the month so I can relax.
Thanks Orths
