We thought that this would be easy but We spent absolutely ages down here before tree planting today and found nothing. About 40 minutes easy! From the images we know what we needed to find, and, we were able to nail down and confirm GZ which agreed with our devices and the rocks in the photos! However, we still came away empty handed. We would be very surprised if this canister is still here. There are no logs or messages to suggest that the container has morphed into another shape, size or colour.Unfortunately an ugly blue face for us today.
Well that was totally not what I expected to find Out for a roll on the geo-cycle, been in the area 8 years so its about time to collect a few from the wet landsTFTC
Sydney to Melbourne Meander. Day Six: Corowa to MelbourneWeather: Another perfect geocaching day.Ive been plagued by poor (Vodafone) coverage today resulting in this visit to the wetlands being poorly planned. This was my only find before a DNF and the decision to postpone until a later date with better preparation. It certainly is a reserve worth visiting; I hope to return. Thanks for the hide Jamin Appleford.
We cycled 35km around these wetlands today. A bit of fun and exercise for us seniors. The gravel tracks meant a slow easy pace which suited us. We had a pleasant day. Saw several raptors, many kangaroos. Thanks Jamin Appleford for placing these caches.
After exploring the northern end of the wetlands, we drove to the southern area to take a walk and have a look around. This was on our way as we walked along the road here. Thanks jamin appleford Domsky
Fixated on something else I walked past GZ read cache page and doh. GZ was where I did not want it to be, but l quickly spied the SPR.
Out and about today exploring the area with Geowife and Geodogs. The Wetlands are amazing at the moment. The bird life is plentiful. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Found and log with Everlasting on the way to Mega detour Jamin Appleford, Thank you so much for placing it.
Accompanied crank1 on the way to mega Rutherglen. Detour and find it and sign the log. Thanks for the cache and hunt ️
Cache found and log signed with dalerious . As this is a generic log, some were found today by both, some dalerious had found on a previous occasion.
Found and signed whilst out on our bikes signing caches in this glorious part of the world .
We came armed with every conceivable tott, from kayaks and bikes, to gumboots and waders, not knowing what we needed, we decided to come armed with the lot. On the whole we used 2 out of the 4, but we still had a ball doing so.
All containers were found in good condition. I was so impressed by some of the specimens of trees that were in the middle of the wetlands. What a shame there was a sad story connected to this area.
We had a great day out here JA, and thank you for keeping these caches alive .

Great to be back in the Winton Wetlands. Was walking down the track, stopped to check my distance and was rapt to find I was only 3m off gz, even happier when it glanced down and there it was. TFTC
Glad to find this after turning over heaps of rocks without success at the last stop. Tftc
Day 2 camping at the showgrounds at Benalla.
This morning was caching out at Winton wetlands then a side trip on the way home to Goorambat before heading back to Benalla for a quite afternoon.
We have visited the welands before but the lure of an AL drew us back for a 2nd visit,
The caches we did were a combination of bike riding, walking & driving.
Thankyou Jamin Appleford for placing this cache.
Found @ 1:04 today an easy find after a nice walk thanks for placement log signed and cache returned

Another day in the wonderful Winton Wetlands. We made an early start in the fog. Riding and walking for a full day, in search of caches in and around Sergeants Swamp. We learnt interesting info from the cache notes and it must be the type of container, somehow gives off energy to keeep the wheels turning.
Our thanks to Jamin Appleford for placing such interesting caches on the gameboard.

We traditionally aren't very good with rock locations... took us a little to find, but yes agree with another cacher that the gps was fairly spot on!
A new cache in the Winton Wetlands - Mokoan area[?][:X]
Sounds like a great reason to go spend some time up there![^][^]
Especially since I have a heap of new geocaches there to find and an adv lab to do too![^][:X][^]
Not much else would make me get up that early[|)]
Rex and I found our first cache at 7.32am[|)] and our last of the 23 finds at about 10pm on our way home[|)]
Huge day but a gorgeous one[:X][^][:X]
Jamin Appleford, you should be paid well for highlighting this awesome place[^][^]
It's just a shame that there is so much sadness incorporated into its history

#4603 Enjoying the peaceful surrounds that the wetlands bring. A coolish morning but no wind made it a pleasant walk out to gz. Glenrowan Gap in clear view and the cache was spotted without even looking at the GPS, making it the quickest of finds. TFTC JA, all good here.
After camping the night on a perfectly still and starry night at Nesting Ground we attempted to find some more caches this morning before our trip home. We are amazed by the size and interesting history and landscape at Winton Wetlands. It has been a very enjoyable place to explore.
After a ride along the dam wall that didn’t lead where we thought, we returned to this trail. Fortunately a quick find here.
Thank you for highlighting this area with your cache.

Defibrillator not my favourite kind of hide. I told GeowifeE I was happy to give this a miss after 10 mins of searching but she wanted to persist. I walked away and reset the gps and boom, this time it took me straight to the cache.
Found by edmil & Maddie 26/12/20. Decided to check the area out, originally not in terms of caching but foundtherewas quite a number to be found. We were a bit short on time so we just grabbed this one. TFTC. Log signedand cache replaced in hide.
After a hurried walk along track with black ominous clouds gathering and intermittent thunder, the cache was luckily quickly found, followed by a very hurry trip back to the car. TFTC
Great walk in the sun. Wish I have of worn sunscreen! Good hide on the side of the road. TFTC.
Out getting some exercise in the Winton Wetlands with Renee from Beavar. Happy to find some caches along the tracks to add interest to our walk this morning. This was the first for the day after coffee and cake from the Hub to fuel us up! We parked near the dam wall and walked in. Easy to spot the Glenrowan Gap from GZ. SL at 10.55am Left: tumbled gemstone. #7359 TFTC Jamin

Another quick and easy find. Was hoping there might be a good spit to kayak around here but not looking hopeful so far. Thanks
Number 10 for us on our bike Trail today. These ones scare me a little. Found it. Thanks for the hide.
This will be the last one for us in here today as the skies are about to open and we have met up with the rest of the travelling party. Pleased that there were four of us.
Thanks for the caches and bringing us back. Such a shame there is no water as it was a lovely area.

The last day of Beechworth camping road trip with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & RoamingHowie, working our way through various must-dos.
Making our way back to the geovehicle after the brutal T5s, we stopped by to find and sign the handful of caches along this stretch.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Jamin Appleford

Making the return journey after our T5 adventure and grabbed this quick find.
Thanks Jamin Appleford for the cache.

After doing your Adventure Lab Series at Winton Wetlands, BettyBoo3747 and I noticed the new bike trails, and obtained maps for them with the idea of eventually coming back for an extended ride.
Your release of a pile of traditionals along the trails, moved up the plan to today.
We wanted to ride in the cool of the morning rather than the heat of the previous afternoon.
So we ignored the FTFs for a lovely morning ride.
We ended up with a clean sweep of the new caches, and a great ride.
Our last cache in the series today. Looking back on the gap we came thru this morning.
Thanks for these caches, it was a lovely ride, and good sized caches.
Thanks, Robmc.

#17526. When I wrote on the Bonus Cache recently, we look forward to coming back with our bikes and exploring some more, I wasn't expecting it to be quite so soon. I was pretty pleased to see a swag of new caches published yesterday morning so Robmc and I started to plan our trip for this morning. We did a cache grab of all the new ones, loaded them into the GPSrs, charged them up, printed a couple of maps, froze water bottles, loaded the bikes etc and planned for a very early start as it was going to be a very hot day. At the finish he would continue on to the big smoke and I would return home to BW. Enjoyed our 4 FTFs and 13 2TFs and hope to come back another day for more riding adventures!
We left home at 6.30am and I was surprised to see hot air ballons hovering on the left side of the highway down near Greta Road, I could see them until I turned for Glenrowan. Such a lovely sight.
After Rob stopped for fuel and maintenance we finally got to the Wetlands and signed off on the first cache at 7.40am. Despite an extra 4.5km ride to go back and retrieve my notebook from the GZ of Peregrine Falcon and then a 35 minute drive from the Old Well around to park at the dam wall we were all done and dusted by 10.50am so a total of 3 hours 10 minutes but only 1 hour 17 minutes of riding time with a total riding distance of 23.5km.
The last cache for us today. The channel is looking pretty inviting on this hot morning. It was 32 degrees when we finished. Again after looking at the sign we rode a tad too far and had to turn back for GZ. A nice distant view of the Gap this morning. Signed log at 10.50am.
On the way back to Glenrowan I did actually notice a sign "Rowans Road" so there you go - sometimes things do sink in.
A great morning's ride and we look forward to coming back again for more fun on the bikes. There certainly is so much to see and discover out here.
Thanks Jamin Appleford

Our last of the day and I just want to say a huge thankyou to Jamin Appleford for putting out this series for us all to enjoy. The paths are excellent. The information boards are interesting and informative and the whole wetlands are so alive its just a must visit for all. [^]
We left the 3 most northern FTFs for anyone else needing a prompt to come out to see this place. We will be back to put our names in those ones a little further down the list another day.
TFTC and series Jamin.
We used lots of hand sanitiser. [8)]

Our last for the day on this expedition, but we shall return.
This could have been a tricky one to find had not the coordinates been so accurate.
Thanks for this beaut new addition of caches in this area.
I am totally amazed at all the new interesting and informative signage, and good on you Jamin for highlighting them by your cache placements.
