Headed out with K8TYBEE for a bit of New Years caching fun Thanks so much for giving us a way to celebrate in what has been a long and tricky year!

Indeed the last cache of the year. It's not been a stella caching year for me, so it was nice to get together and see some people I hadn't seen a lot of. Maybe more next year?

Stopped by on my way to a NYE dinner, had a biscuit with dip, said hello to a couple people and listened to the CO perform a good short speech / farewell to 2020. A great turnout given the busy time of year!

Goodbye 2020

A lovely event to close off 2020. Had some nibbles, some drink, and then some more nibbles when I realised that I didn’t have enough food in the stomach to handle even the tiniest bit of alcohol! Talked to many familiar faces and not gonna lie, felt really hopeful and optimistic after the CO’s beautiful speech. TFTE Smittengranny - see you all next year!

Managed to drop by before my family new years eve gathering. A nice gathering to see the back of 2020 and do more of that chatting stuff. Shame that even this late in the year, caching plans are still being disrupted by COVID.

Out and about on a geomission taking advantage of some free time and some lovely cool weather

I was in the area completing some lab caches and grabbing some others before the event, so then swung by at the start. Great to say good bl*%dy riddence to 2020 with the rest of the geopeeps! I hung around for a chat before heading off for more caching!

We attended this event with my aunt and uncle who cache as Domsky. They are staying with us in Canberra and so we get to go geocaching with them.

?We have been loving our time in Canberra, visiting family and collecting a few geocaches, although many will have to wait until we return here to live in 2022. It was great to say hello to a few fellow friends and geocachers today and to wish 2020 goodbye.?

Thanks for a peaceful location to host this well organised end-of-year event. It was a delight to meet some new people of cache names we have heard/read about over the years. Also good to meet up with familiar faces again. It was also a wonderful surprise to see Fox-in-Jox looking so fit and in good spirits despite his recent mishap. Maybe 2020 isn’t too bad after all?

Big thanks to everyone who attended and made this such a fun way to say goodbye to 2020. It was great to meet some different people whom I hadn't met before and even some I had met before that I don't always remember. Then there are those special cachers who keep turning up to events firming friendships and mapping out plans for the future. I am sure that 2021 will be a bigger, brighter year for us all now that we have learnt how to look after ourselves. Well most of us have , isn't that right Fox in Jox???

Another welcome opportunity to get together and celebrate the end of 2020. Looking forward to 2021 (although it is already off to a bad start as my plans to head to Victoria tomorrow have been quashed). I expect it will be another interesting year full of uncertainity and surprises, e.g. It looks like Trump will remain president of the US! TFTC.
