Thanks for my first find! I didn't realise what it was until I asked a few friends so I returned the item and i forgot to sign it lol
Last cache here to complete the track before turning back. A thoroughly enjoyable caching trail, thanks for setting up and maintaining, cheers
Visiting from Nelson with my walking group group. Today we are walking the trail to Carters Beach and back.Nice spot for a rest.
A nice quick find. On my bike for a pre dinner ride. Nice. Note some of the logs are full and are in need of replacement. Thanks for placing your cache. It has been a while since we got back from Europe, and it is time for us to see more of Home. Ms_KR and I are off to the West Coast for a wee break, and some caching. Today cruised around the area picking up plastic boxes!Occaisionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.

A quick bike ride for me today… From the NZMCA park to Carters beach and return. Lots of people out so caching was near impossible.
Quiet here for a couple of mins for me to make the find.

Heading on a wee family summers holiday.
Reefton done, now time for a few nights in Carters Beach.
Came out for a mornings Bike ride with MrsTG before our planned adventure up to Denniston. Finding every 2nd one in the Westport direction, returning will find the skipped ones...
Quiet as this morning, had the track to ourselves. A bit of a search soon netted the cache.
Cache may or may not be in the correct spot. It was as per hint but more down then up.

Another cache we couldn't find earlier but we stopped again for another look and found in one of the places we looked then. Maybe the light was in the wrong place then and that's why we didn't see it but good to get it ticked off. tftc

Increasing speed on bike and searching speed as the day is progressing.... find 36 for the day
This was a dnf for us recently and the CO has quickly replaced it. So it was on our want to find list this weekend. We went to get it yesterday morning but there were a lot of people in orange coats around the area. We spoke to one who told us there were lots of runners and the track was closed. And that we should come back later. So that is what happened. The cache was easily found in the first place we had searched last time. So it was fantastic to turn our blue dnf face into a smiley yellow face
Thank you so much for replacing the missing caches so quickly. We have had a couple of really enjoyable weekends in the Westport area. And of course thank you for the smiley

Gutted not to have found this one, we think we looked and felt in every possible corner. Will watch and come and try for it another time
Easy find for Miss 12 yr old. Loving the bike ride along this track. Looks like rain is about to start so better keep going. TFTC
Took me a little while to spot, and then to reach! Really enjoying this ride thank you.
I missed it on the first sweep, but spotted it eventually.
Thanks for putting this here for me to find

Awesome work on this trail with lots of information on the way. A nice easy bike ride. A few people using this track. A small search and we soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
We hired bikes for the afternoon and headed out to check out this trail. We checked the obvious spots and came up empty handed. We were checking out how high the flood waters had come through this structure and spotted the cache on the ground. We have put the cache back to where we thought it should be. TFTC
I decided to leave a few for next time. Well hidden in the shelter.
This is JDScouts and my final long summer holiday in the camper. We're on a tour of the West Coast and geocaching is one of the things on our agenda.
Thanks for hiding this cache weenz I appreciate it.

An early morning bike ride enjoying the local trail, some good scenery, and grabbing a few caches. TFTC
Today my plan is to cache around the Westport area. Weather not that great but I've got my raincoat so it OK - not too cold anyway. My last walk for today. I parked at the bridge end of the trail and walked along as far as the culvert cache and back. Had a bit of a rest in the shelter after finding the cache. Hard to believe that this was a busy place once upon a time. TFTC, Biggles.
Had a great day on the E-bike, caching on the Westport cycle trails, 39km 6hrs and 44 caches, trails in great order. - Many Thanks Bitsprayer
We drove in for an afternoons caching on our bikes. Parked up at the playground and ride towards the Cape to begin with.
Now off to the bridge and back.
A nice wee hut. TFTC

It was great to learn more fascinating history. This cache took a while but in the end it was a case of she who searches properly will find !
We, Miss 8, Miss 9 and I, walked from the Westport end out to Carters Beach. What an awesome trail. Highlights were the information boards the friendly people and hearing a Fernbird. We also saw an enormous rat so hopefully some trapping occurs along the trail. This one took some finding, we had to wait for a gap in the visitors then the camo was so good it took a touch to find it.
TFTC, nice quick find. out for a quick walk before the rain. Thanks also to the Easter Bunny that left treats throughout the walk
3km Walk today with Blake (2) Quinn (5) and Docndi. Left a car at one end and drove to othe end of the track. Caches were easy enough for the kids who loved finding these. Awesome little walkway. Tftc
This is a great cycle track ..a lot of expense and design has gone into its construction ..found the cache all good..many thanks weez
Another well constructed shelter. I guess on wet or windy days they would be a real asset. I am glad it wasnt needed today. Thanks for the cache weenz
This was my turning point on the trail today. A previous finder had said that the nicest part of the trail is the boardwalks so I look forward to doing the rest another day. TFTC # 16,687
On a visit to the West Coast we came to Westport specifically when we heard a section of this trail had been opened. And we weren’t disappointed. Its and easy, scenic and enjoyable ride and we look forward to visit again as further sections are finished. TFTC
Great walk from Carter’s beach to Westport with the family on a sunny day. TFTC.
Over time we watched our sea of yellow in and around Westport slowly being interspersed with green. So a plan was hatched to spend a few days and remedy the situation and even taking the opportunity by leaving some similar offerings. Being walkers we decided to warm up along the rock wall at the golf course before sampling Puwaha, the first section of the Kawatiri Coastal and Heritage Trail. After we found a nice shady spot for the car we set off from the Carter's Beach end in pursuit of a variety caches. It soon proved that no expense had been spared to create a fantastic trail that makes the most of the unique landscape using bridges, boardwalks and a wide and well constructed pathway. Well used by walkers, runners and cyclists we still found enough time to find caches and complete the formalities without being muggled. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience we will recommend to anybody willing to listen. After finishing our walk there were still a few caches left which we found while exploring town and country in the coming days. Thank you weenz for a wonderful experience.
Now that the 'silly season" is behind us it was time to think about heading off for a few days somewhere. With the proliferation of new caches in this area it made sense to head to Westport and park up for a few days.
We decided to walk this trail towards Westport with the idea that if necessary we could finish it from the other end tomorrow. As it turned out it took much less time and effort than we had assumed so was completed in one attempt.
This shelter is more the size I'm used to seeing on these trails, not the whopper further along towards Carters beach.
Thank you weenz.

We had a good day for doing this trail. Partly cloudy, perfectly warm, but I can see how even on drizzly or lightly rainy days this trail would still be good. TFTC.
Found with NZDi. We are staying at Carters Beach Holiday Camp as a base for a few days geocaching on the Wet Coast. After travelling from Blenheim and setting up the caravan we had plenty of time for some caching in the late afternoon/evening. I had spotted this new trail of caches when I was looking at the geocaching map a couple of days ago and this was a great opportunity to check it out.
This was the eleventh find of the afternoon and we were wondering if he organising committee of this trail is going to regret being so lavish on the construction here at the beginning when they get to the last section and Shane Jones' money has run out. A QEF by myself never-the-less as NZDi was too vertically challenged to find this one.
