This was our last cache on this walk and it did take us quite some time to find, it is at GL. Fav point for the series, it is a great place to visit. TFTC
In the area today as we thought these caches looked a little lonely, and we had a carer for junior cacher .....it was time we got into some sunshine as we had been renovation a bedroom, taking up any spare hours....Left home at 8am (the wrong time as schools had just gone back after the anniversary weekend, and we hit traffic extending the trip to the park by half an hour.Arriving at GZ a quick chat with the local farmer for hints on the best route to take, and into cache finding....The cache is in good health, and dry, but definitely GL.TFTC.
May have been misplaced in wrong spot as hint sent us looking above GL. Found it in the end. Thanks
Hint had us searching all over except GL eventually found after changing tactics, may have been replaced in a slightly different location than initial placement?
Thanks guys for the placement of all of these, a fun afternoon circuit

I’m doing a bit of a free range wander of the park today and locating caches that are close to my location on the way. TFTCs!!
There’s a very cold breeze accompanying me today but I look forward to hunting down quite a few caches. First find for the day
this was our last geocache for the day! absolutely loved discovering the regional park. neither of us had been here before so was very cool exploring a new area and finding caches along the way TFTC
My second weekend Sunday at Te Rau Puriri Regional Park for more geo caching fun ,though the weather is much better than my last visit a couple weeks ago. Took an anti clockwise circuit picking up the ones I missed. This was the first on my list a nice easy start.
Found it.
The last one.
Got them all (for now).
Thanks tramyard/_pex_ for all the work you put into these cach.

Out enjoying a mid-winter walk in Te Rau Puriri Regional Park. We arrived late morning and spent most of the rest of the day wandering around the tracks and finding plenty of caches. It was a bit wet underfoot but the weather was mild and we enjoyed the views as we walked an anti-clockwise circuit.
Our first stop along the way. A quick find with the hint, watched by the cattle on the other side of the fence.

First sign of human life today as several people approached! Wandered on down to GZ, and found cache in the first place i thought of looking.
Thanks for all the great hides in this park. Lots of variety, all well maintained, all there to be found, some easy & some a bit more tricky. Great locations too, thanks for placing them all.
Fabulous park to walk around with great views.

Out with team Gold today (0B80B8 and LisCrew) collecting a few caches in the area. Nice wee hide. A little searching require to locate this one. Last cache in the park. Thanks for the series.
Today I was on a mission as part of Team G0LD to Te Rau Puriri Regional Park on South Kaipara Head, to hopefully clear all the caches there and as many more as possible on the peninsula.
The Garmin watch showed a distance of 7.50 kms to complete the park in just under 3 hours with 250 metres elevation gain, so a nice exercise jaunt for the day, even if if was a tad warm and humid ahead of the approaching storm.
Number twenty-eight and last one in the park on our walk today. A relatively quick find, definitely in the hint location. TFTC

Team G0LD (Geocachers: 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ) were on a mission today. The primary target was the cache rich Te Rau Puriri Regional Park at South Head. We were aiming to get our final mountain souvenir all done and dusted as well as filling an entire area on our maps with yellow smiles.
Last one in the park today. 100% success. Thank you tramyard and Pax for all your caches out here. I really do appreciate your efforts to place and maintain them. The fact that it was a nice walk (3 hours including caching) and they were all easy to find makes it a very enjoyable outing. An interesting gate opening near here that I've never seen before. Our last smile found.
Overall it was a very hot day with temps 28-30°C. We only copped a few brief spats of rain and I found 49 caches. My souvenir well and truly achieved. Certainly a pretty lot of smiles too. Thanks for this hide

Our primary reason for the trip here today was to attempt all the caches in the park. Mrs NZT stayed home to look after Geo Dog (poor little bugga had had a rough night) and Keylev and myself set off to find all these.
The least said about this cache the better . Searched and searched but Keylev made the find just where I had been looking!!
Now just the walk to the car. Had a well deserved cold drink from the car and some final photos. AWESOME view and even better knowing that we had done the walk and found EVER cache.

NZ Travellers and I had a plan to cache and walk today. Unfortunately their geo-dog was unwell so Mrs NZT had to stay home to care for him so it ended up being just Mr NZT and myself. Had a great day out, ended on a nice round number of 40 (50 would have been better but I had to collect our minis from their camp).
I had stopped for a quick drink but Mr NZT seemed to be struggling to find this one so once my bottle was away I strolled over and almost immediately said 'found it' in a spot that he had already checked...ooops.
Thanks for the cache.

I am out and about this afternoon, taking advantage of the excellent weather, to take a hike around Te Rau Puriri Regional Park. After finding "Scotts" I headed along here to find my last hide in the park. Using a couple of bits of information on the cache page in conjunction with each other I was able to execute a nice and quick find here. That makes find 28 out of 28 in the park today. Nice to not have any DNFs along the way. Another 800m, or so, back to the car park now. Took me a tick over three hours to complete this loop--car to car--including all stops to find hides. Cheers for the exercise and the cache placement!
Another cache found in Te Rau Puriri Regional Park today! I visited here with tramyard, and we walked the loop clockwise finding all of the caches in the park along the way (and a few on the way there and back).
This was a sneaky hide and it took me quite a while of checking all the places it could be, rereading the hint, checking some more, and then FINALLY finding the cache. Great place for it, and the title makes sense now. Almost at the end of the circuit, just one more cache to go. TFTC

Our last find in the park - what a work, according to my device over 16,000 steps and 70 flights of stairs - no wonder we were feeling it. t4tc
No problems finding this one today. Thanks for putting all these caches out there for us to find. A very enjoyable afternoon. Another lovely regional park.
We had a lot of fun exploring this regional park on a stunning Winters day. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining these caches.
This was our last find in the park today. Another sneaky hide which diff do not take long to find.

I had the day off work today, so I decided to get out for a walk in Te Rau Puriri Regional Park... an area that I've never visited before! I was greeted with nice views as soon as I parked the car and, being a weekday, I had the park to myself for the afternoon. It was a lovely walk down to the harbour and back, I found all of the current caches here without any difficulty and really enjoyed my visit! Thanks for setting up all these caches!
Almost back at the start now, but a thoroughly enjoyable wander around this neat park which I probably would never have visited if not for caching, so cheers guys
Thanks for the series. The fish and chips with beer that followed was well deserved. The last cache was the hardest!
Last on the route and looking at the track log it seems you finished off along the orange/pink route. I could see some scope along the rest of red too, and light blue beckons. I'm sure some future visitors might oblige a few more in the park. Hopefully. A good mornings walk here, thanks to you and Sebastian for the cache placements.
Time to hit the trail and looking forward to the caches from the placers here; Tramouflage galore and Pax of bisons roaming the plains.
Another weekend day and I have a plan to go and find some caches out at Te Rau Puriri Regional Park up the top of South Head (North of South Head then!). I originally put down a couple of new ones in this empty (of caches, at the time) park and Tramyard and Pax duly obliged to fill in some of the walking tracks with caches, which also had good views and interesting things to see. I was fairly early off from home and arrived at the trail start at 0900, arrived back at 1145-ish so under 3 hours for the loop, including finds. I'm pretty sure there's room for some more up there as the Red route has scope, as does the pale blue one. The weather was a little blustery and a bit cooler than recent but still a good day 5o be out there doing it.

My two mates were gas bagging and nearly went passed this one.
Lucky it was our last one of the day.
Thank you for the series.

I was out on a ladies caching day with Supernanny and Nette1234 on a lovely autumn day. We nearly walked past this one as we were too busy talking! This was our last cache in this park. thanks to all the COs for their cache placements
Out and about enjoying Puriri with the mexikiwi and evilno9. Glad we did so, as the next day we went into level 3 lockdown. We enjoyed the round collecting all geocaches on the way, with a short lunch break on the beach. No issues with any find. Large spider is guarding this find.TFTC
I dropped my pack topside and came down to get this one. I was then obligated to take the high road back to the parking area. TFTC.
Our last find of the day in this fantastic park and it was almost a DNF as we were out of energy and our geosenses were malfunctioning.
Fortunately we managed to get them back online one more time and found this cleverly concealed cache.
A favourite point for this and for all the other caches you have placed around the park. They gave us an enjoyable day trip to a place we had never been before.

Last one up on the high path and realised here that we have to go back down hill to get to the two along the red track that we had missed. Had a bit of a rest here before sliding our way directly down hill through very long grass. TFTC
2TF yah never been this close before. Another first - first time no #$! pen! All the way back to carpark and back. TFTC absolutely stunning views so no qualms about doing twice Fav point just cause.
Tramyard asked me if I wanted to come along to place some caches in this Regional Park which what quite empty.... I had nothing to do, so grabbed my cache containers, logs and stuff and was ready to place some more caches in NZ.
Maybe we get some more people here to this nice park.
I was kind of happy when we finished and were on the way back to the car... Might have to come back to finish the rest of the trail though
