Logs
Decided to check on the cache and alas it was AWOL! Have replaced it with a new cache in a larger 750ml container. New log. New swag.
Found today while waiting on friend surfing. Had a pie meanwhile a had Good Time on this shore. Many thanks !!
Found whilst car rocking in the wind and lots of ocean activity -log signed - thanks for the cache
Less muggles about finally so managed to make the grab but that wind was blowing hard. The 4x4 rocking and rolling. Thanks for the cache.
My husband and i are on a 2 week vacation around the south island from BrisbAne Australia and today we travelled from Nelson to Westport and we decided to come out here . Sad to see the lives lost but happy to find this cache. THere were people on the beach learning to surf. Thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
It was so sad to see so many memorial plaques to those lost at sea. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
After a long drive from Blenheim I was looking for some relaxation, and found if here. The main problem was the number of muggle vehicles stopping nearby. But I managed! Many thanks for showing me this beautiful place.
Another wonderful weather day. Found in between muggles. Wonderful disguise pretending to take photos of the view. Tftc
Here for my deckhands ticket at the fishing school thought I’d go for a look around
Back on the west coast and calling westport home for the next wee while having picked up work in the area. So time to turn all that green , yellow..
Couldnt have parked much closer if I'd tried..easy find on another hot day..

Another hot, cloudless day in Westport so we decided to get out on the bikes. We had a few caches around town to collect up, then we were planning on doing the caches along the newish bike trail.
As this was sort of the closest, we started with this one and weaved our way through the trees along the bike track until we reached the road and from there a short ride to gz. After a few places were checked, the cache was found. This bush looked like it was the area rubbish pit, with all sorts of rubbish under it. tftc

Again a rainy day, it was not fun to go caching but some caches I found.
The hiddeout is not dangerous.
Thanks.

We are in Westport again for the long weekend. After going to the whitebait festival we decided to go for a wander along the beach - while we were waiting for the weather to improve. As the afternoon went on it got hotter and clearer so there were only slight drizzle spells as we made our way from this one to the other end of the beach.
There were a few vehicles around but I think we managed to whip in here and find this without arousing too much interest or suspicion.
We watched a dolphin in the river after signing the log - not really the right tide to have many whilebaters around so the one who was there didn't entertain us for long.
We did go and read all the plaques after signing the log, just so many young lives lost at sea, RIP
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Always a dramatic spot lots of seagulls around today. Geocaching isn't the only activity that's been happening in this area!
A quick bike ride before sunset after parking the motorhome. Cache was an easy find. Greetings from Finland.
#11,332. I have been down at Punakaiki for the week doing some work. Drove back last night to Westport and had a crazy early start dropping off a work colleague at the airport for the 6am flight. I was going to do some caching after that but it was too dark and passing showers put the kibosh on that idea. So back to the motel for breakfast then came here early in the day.
Decided to drive out to the end of the breakwater to grab this one. Soon had it found. Managed to evade the attention of muggles even though there are a few cars parked 50m away. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks ProPax for hiding it here. Must be a wild place out here during a windy westerly storm. A few showers around today were chilly enough for me.

Out for a short walk after rain showers. Did a loop around before spotting the caches hidey hole.
Thanks for placing the cache

Out for a walk around Westport collecting a few caches as we go. It was very wild with rough seas today. After a bit of a scramble around gz the cache was soon spotted. TFTC
Wandered along the beach to this point from the NZMCA park… very busy with fishermen, surfers and general cruisers… but I still managed to hide in here to get the cache. Was a wrapped chocolate inside but left it there for the next finder.

Found with the help of lovely young muggers who had been surfing. Great when you have bad knees
Found on 6 weeks holiday. And also I told about GC one guy I met the other day - a new player?
I came here last night but it was a popular place, not sure if it's a hangout for young people or blood micromoon eclipse watchers. No problem this morning though. Sat and watched a surf ski playing in the waves. Thanks for placing the cache ProPax

I came out here first thing this morning half expecting not to be able to look for it due to muggles but surprisingly and thankfully I had the place to myself. Not for long though as two cars arrived just as I was leaving. Too many lives! TFTC # 17.767
Last time here there was two cars parked at GZ so we couldn't look, today the only visible muggle was intent on watching the dredge sail out over the bar so I clambered in to position and began a search when the obvious place was empty. Eventually I found the cache escaped "down hill" and after signing the log put it back where I assume it was originally placed and made sure it was well secured by rocks.
Care was needed here as some selfish/lazy sod has tipped garden rubbish here and it is becoming slippery!
Thank you ProPax.

Thank you ProPax.
The dredge approaching the bar was a sufficient distraction to have closeby muggles' attention. Holymu picked her way through some rubbish to the cache while I stood by taking in the sights. Much better than last time when muggles were lined up parked both sides of the tiphead. Thank you ProPax
I'm in Westport for the long weekend. I haven't been here for a few years now so a geocaching visit is long overdue. Great spot for the cache. Found it once I got myself into a position where I could reach it. TFTC, Biggles.
Had a great day on the E-bike, caching on the Westport cycle trails, 39km 6hrs and 44 caches, trails in great order. - Many Thanks Bitsprayer
Day 10 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Enjoyed cycling on the trails on the outskirts of Westport today and picking up a few caches. Great day for it! This one was a quick find. #4110. TFTC.
We'll have to make another visit here, there was two vehicles parked at GZ and both occupied so no chance of looking for the cache.
FTF on a beautiful day down on the tip.
A popular spot for surfing and fishing.
