Just passing through Westport for a day after hiking the wonderful and delightful Heaphy Track. Goodness, Westport has far more geocaches than Id expected. TFTC!P.S. The ferns have had a bit of a growth spurt and help to add to the camo
Decided to park at this end and complete the cache trail. A nice pleasant morning for a walk out to Packers Point and back. No problems finding the cache here, TFTC
Visiting from Nelson with my walking group group. Today we are walking the trail to Carters Beach and back.Great cache location here thanks.
A nice quick find. On my bike for a pre dinner ride. Nice. Note some of the logs are full and are in need of replacement. Thanks for placing your cache. It has been a while since we got back from Europe, and it is time for us to see more of Home. Ms_KR and I are off to the West Coast for a wee break, and some caching. Today cruised around the area picking up plastic boxes!Occaisionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
In town for High School reunion, so time to walk from motel to find a couple of caches before breakfast.

Vistra and I were travelling around the middle and upper South Island, focusing on finding the the PWGT3 and PWGT4 GeoTour caches in the area, but also finding a few other caches along the way. We decided to look for all the caches along this trail and located this one quickly. Nice mural. A FP from me!
AliGle and I were traveling around the middle and upper South Island, with the main focus being the completion of the PWGT3 and PWGT4 GeoTours, but we found a few other caches along the way. As there was a PWGT cache on this trail, we decided we'd explore a bit more of it and find some more of the caches along the way. A nice easy find at the start of the trail. TFTC!
Heading on a wee family summers holiday.
Reefton done, now time for a few nights in Carters Beach.
Came out for a mornings Bike ride with MrsTG before our planned adventure up to Denniston. Finding every 2nd one in the Westport direction, returning will find the skipped ones...
This trail is soooo cool. Thanks.

Our for an early morning walk on our last day in Westport. Only had the legs for a few and this was the first stop. Lovely walkway and a nice place for a cache. Thanks
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.

Thanks for this cache - I was heading back to my transport after finding the nearby GeoTour cache; it would have been rude not to stop & find this cache, too. All good.
Last find for me today and plenty of time to get back to the geowagon and go find a camping ground with a shower!!! Find number 41 for the day. Loved the big bike ride and the walk around the Cape Foulwind lighthouse. TY!
Finally time for our last PW Pilgrimage to the mighty west coast! A trip initially timed with the Wild Foods Festival. Justlooking00 and I are finally here. Day 3 is the turn south again from Westport to Blackball via HW7. After two days of rain and weather warnings we have sunshine. We left this walk until the morning hoping for better weather so we have time to do the ones inbetween the PW. A nice spot, felt like it would have a cache. Thank you.
A great way to start the day. With so many whitebaiters around I wasn't sure how many of these caches we would be able to find. As it turned out there was no need to worry. This was a nice easy find in the first place I looked. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
This took me awhile as the hints suggested the town side. I was about to log a DNF when I thought I would look at last logs and a photo gave me the clue I was looking on wrong side of bridge. Stunning mural that I would never have visited if not caching. TFTC
Nicely painted mural, enjoying the walk here!
Found it after a moments search.
Thanks!

Decided on a cycle around while the weather was fine. Some great artwork and a nice quick find. TFTC
Our first find along this walk this afternoon as we aim to do half today and the other half tomorrow due to a late start. TFTC
We stayed last night in Westport, and today are travelling along the coast to Greymouth. But before we leave Westport we wanted to pick up the PWGT cache along the Puwaha Trail, and of course find the other 4 Trads along the way. We enjoyed the mural and found the cache on our return walk along the Puwaha Trail. TFTC.
We hired bikes for the afternoon and headed out to check out this trail. This was the first one for us on the trail today. A quick find here a little higher than we thought it would be. We checked out the mural before getting back on our bikes. TFTC
Cool tunnel. I love the artwork.
This is JDScouts and my final long summer holiday in the camper. We're on a tour of the West Coast and geocaching is one of the things on our agenda.
Thanks for hiding this cache weenz I appreciate it.

On my bike along the Puwaha Trail.
Took a while to spot as I was mainly looking for a rock at 1m high and there were none. There are a couple now covering the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

An early morning bike ride enjoying the local trail, some good scenery, and grabbing a few caches. TFTC
Up in CHCH for work and have a few days off so a good chance to get on the road and do the top part of the south islands PWGT caches and to grab a few others along the way. This was an easy park and grab so had to get it. TFTC
Quick Easy Find. TFTC
Taybeedragon, Zara, Toby and and I are off for a few days catching up with PWGTs on the West Coast. Zara had a slow start and needed a jump start to get us on the road Thursday evening. Camped out just past Murchison Thursday Night. Lots of driving missing most of the rain on Saturday. Visited Shanty Town, Punakaiki and Denniston before returning home on Sunday. Lots of driving with all target caches bagged. A great trip with taybeedragon. Now to plan our next adventure.
Sorry for logging late these were found on the weekend of 16 sep to 19 sep 2021.

Today my plan is to cache around the Westport area. Weather not that great but I've got my raincoat so it OK - not too cold anyway. My last walk for today. I parked at the bridge end of the trail and walked along as far as the culvert cache and back. Found this one as per the hint in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
Last find of the day - light is fading and it's time to head back to the motel and bed. Easily found with the hint and all in good order, TFTC - Number 10297 for me.
#10,126. Day 4 of the geocaching road trip. Infoferret and I flew down from Wellington on Wednesday and have spent a couple of nights in Greymouth. But its time to leave now and head to our next lodgings in Westport. We have geotour caches to find, some adventure labs and a lot of solved puzzles on the way. Will pick up any traditional caches if we have time. The weather is still holding out and its another fine, warm, sunny spring day.
I found this new track a very nice stroll after dinner. Full of birdlife with weka seen regularly along the track. We were now heading back to the car and the motel as the light faded. I started looking in the wrong spot. The cache was quickly spotted by IF who checked out the correct spot. Signed the logbook. Replaced the cache where found. Thanks weenz for hiding the cache here.

Day 8 - Labour weekend extended road trip with Kiwicampnut - relocated to stay south of the ditch.
As I headed in for the PWGT there were lots of workers just finishing a cleanup of the gardens, so I decided to get this on the way out. Muggle free then, and thankfully a quick find. Was a bit worried that it was somewhere that it might have been cleaned up.
Thanks for the cache weenz

Quick find today as we walk a small part of this trail to find the geotour cache further down. Heading through to Nelson today. Lucky the rain held off for us as we wandered along learning more history . Thinking it would be a good bike ride.

On a PWGT expedition to the South Island with Gorby, RustyNZ, Rebel98 and boneybruce. TFTC!!!
We flew down from Auckland to Nelson for another session upon the PWGT caches and other caches that appeal. This is our last trip for the series and will complete it in the 4 days we have allowed ourselves. On this trip there is myself, rustynz, FMZ, Rebel98 and Bony-Bruce (FMZ’s mascot) starting in Nelson and heading north as far as Abel Tasman and then way south of Fox Glacier. 1500km of driving in our trusty rental.
The mural is pretty cool, so is this damn weather, blowing a gale and pouring with rain.

With a group of Westies (rustynz, rebel98, gorby, FMZ and boney bruce) on a caching adventure in the South Island
This is a wonderful cycleway, which we are walking along. Just as we got to the bridge the rain returned and the winds blew around us. The water is running high and fast in the river too.
Thankfully the cache wanted to be found, and FMZ was soon passing it over to be signed.
Another fun find on the walkway, thank you weenz for this series of hides, and for bringing us here.

We drove in for an afternoons caching on our bikes. Parked up at the playground and rode towards the Cape to begin with.
Now off to the bridge and back.
Our turn around point. A quick find and sign. Nice art work. TFTC

Caching with Sidewaze. Apologies for the late log - working at catching up. I enjoyed finding your cache. TFTC
We'd heard of the new cycle trail and figured the weather was good enough to explore it today. Well, actually of course it was the caches that attracted us here but we really enjoyed the bike ride. I'm always a bit wary of rock walls but we had a quick find here, admired the mural and were on our way. Thanks for the hide.
After finding a cache further down the track we stopped here to wait out a spot of rain and Mrs B and Tinytree made the find. TFTC.
We, Miss 8, Miss 9 and I, walked from the Westport end out to Carters Beach. What an awesome trail. Highlights were the information boards the friendly people and hearing a Fernbird. We also saw an enormous rat so hopefully some trapping occurs along the trail. Quick easy find at this spot.
Nice quick find today. On my way back to the car.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.
While on the geotour cache hunt I was able to also grab the odd cache here and there, this was one of them.
thanks for the placement - cache is all in good order
