One of the main reasons for our visit to Bribie today was to skunk out a pub crawl. When I told my wife that I had dreamt about it she quickly volunteered to drive the bus. When I say volunteered I mean I had to get down and beg and perform certain favours in the bedroom. We came to the RSL for a quick bo-peep and also had to collect the cache close by. We started by crawling all over the cannons until we read the signs that say not to. Technically we read the fine print and it said that the risk was ours although Im sure the ordinance has been removed. Still I tried to shoot down a plane. We crossed into the park and expected a relatively quick find. It wasnt. At first we didnt want to disturb the furniture but reading old logs told us we were on the right track. The hide was covered but a stick can sometimes be more than a crutch. tftc

Having said goodbye to my eldest & sent her on her way back to London, I had a relaxing day planned visiting Bribie Island with my cousin. After having lunch, we watched dolphins in the bay for a while before heading down for a last couple of caches. This looked to be a bit of a challenge for a 1.5/1.5 based on all the recent DNFs, so I wasn't feeling too confident. But the coordinates got me close enough & the hint was easy to follow so it didn't take long to spot the cache. I've not seen one in this colour before; I'm not sure you can get them in the UK. But all was well so I soon had the administration completed.Found at 14:53Cache #10376TFTC 1MinnieMoo

Great little hide, clue and location accurate.

26-May-24
We had a good look but no luck. Would love some clarification since it has obviously gone missing a few times and been replaced and/or moved-Are the current coordinates listed correct? Is it still micro size? Or is it the type of container seen in a photo? Pretty thorough search but we feel like we could be off if the app is still showing coordinates for a previous location. Thanks Smile

The experience of finding this cache was a bit rockier than expected. We thought it would be straightforward but our first visit proved otherwise. We could only handle being bitten by mozzies in the heat and humidity for so long. So we decided to retreat for the day and PAF for a hint. As always, 1MinnieMoo rocks for her willingness to lend a hand. On our second field trip around the island we were quickly able to find this little nugget of caching fun.

A lovely well laid out and maintained memorial park here. Quite impressed with the chopper. The cache was not where our arrows were pointing but after searching all the options nearby, we finally laid our hands on it. We decided to stay a little longer and enjoy lunch in these lovely surrounds. Thanks 1MinnieMoo

Decided to get out of Brisbane this morning to let my wife recover from her cold in peace and quiet.

A quick dash up the highway early in the morning before traffic picked up sees me on Bribie island picking up a a few labs and an assortment of old and new hides

Love this hobbie

Drove my new car (wahoo) to Bribie today to pick up a new kayak loader. Any excuse to put some kms on the shiny new toy. While I was there, I picked up some labs and a couple of the Defender series. This was the second cache of the day. Nice easy find, everything OK here. Lovely park, wish I had a bit more time to hang out here. Thanks for the maintenance 1MinnieMoo.

Easy but not to easy to find nice to explore a new place

14-Jan-23
Found this one at night in the 2nd place I looked (after reading previous logs). After finding a few ‘smalls’ that were really micros recently, it was nice to find a ‘micro’ that I could actually fit a TB in, so I did. Thanks for bringing me here - the chopper is really quite cool. Great vets park. TFTC!️0

The thought of all those young lives lost or damaged…. It’s humbling.

Thanks for this one a quick grab. The veterans of Vietnam campaign require more recognition of what they have endure since then. Also RIP all that served there and any other service men and women. Australia is a better place for it

On the Island for my Grandpa’s 98th birthday so of course we’re having lunch at the RSL. Coords a little tricky but there’s only so many places to sit so after taking a seat 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 times we had the cache in hand. TFTC

25-Oct-22
After spending a bit of time misled by bouncing coords I finally tweaked that there’s only so many seats with that certain attraction. After that it was a pretty quick find.
Thanks to this hide I finally realised there’s a helicopter in this park. I don’t know how long it’s been there but the camo is pretty effective.
Log was sodden after all that rain, so I left the lid open a bit to let it air. Believe me, it could not possibly get wetter than it is.

We were spending a night on Bribie and headed to the RSL for dinner and stopped to check out this cache. It was dark by the time we arrived so I had to use the phone torch to search. I had searched two other locations first and then moved to the right one before I located the cache..

time to move on to the Caboolture area where we have solved puzzles and there are a number of Adventure Labs and plenty of trads to find.
The weather is improving further although there seems to be plenty more muggles about.
A good variety of hides and some interesting places to visit.

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache 1MinnieMoo.
