I looked in the cauldron… around the cauldron… under the shelter area… by the moko dolphin sign but did not find it anywhere! All I found was old beer bottles and other rubbish.
I made a good search of the hint item, but couldn’t find it anywhere. People have been dumping rubbish into it, making it a little bit less of a savory place.
Oh well, still enjoyed the story of the dolphin and the views that are here. Thanks!

Down from waihi beach for the IRB Nationals thais weekend. Took the opportunity to grab this one while here. Took a few loops to find, but got it in the end. TFTC.
On a random Sunday drive out to mahia. Stopped in to find this cache after having some lunch. Found fairly quickly. Surprised how few people are around on such a beautiful day. Removed 3 lollipops from the cache!
Thanks for placing the cache MorganEd.

It took 3 adults and 3 kids more than 10 minutes for our 1st find and I was stoked when after the kids had almost given up, I climbed the rock and easily found it! Bah ha ha. Fun adventure!
Awesome little hide! Super cute surprises. Popped into the water for a swim after finding it.
Couldn’t find it today. Lots of grass from the mower but gave it a good search.
Some had just mowed the lawns, so clippings all over the rocks, so we stopped looking. Maybe next time!
Stopped for morning tea and grabbed this while I was here. Lovely place here that I had never been to before. Tftc.
Found on a drive to Mahia today. It took one circuit of the hint object to locate. The cache is in excellent, dry condition. Thanks MorganEd for bringing us here.
After a day driving from Hawkes Bay we arrived at Mahia and had enough day light to grab a cache and do a walk. Might head up the top point tomorrow morning. Took a few minutes to locate cache. TFTC
Travel between napier and gisborne often enough and always meant to take a detour finally has time a quick find tftc
On a bus trip with the East Coast Wanderers and called in here for our picnic lunch —- great to have a good handy cache to find in such a peaceful picturesque place —- thank you
On a bus trip that brought us here. So peaceful here today. Well worth a visit. Cache in good condition. Tftc and the sea views.
Gorgeous morning and interesting place with the design of these tractors and boat trailers
Thanks MorganEd for the cache. It’s #1461 for us. We found your cache on 25 February 2021. Finally found after a bit of scrambling around. Nice hide and a great story.
Heading down to Waipatiki for the night and thought I would detour to this cache. I was fortunate enough to have swam with Moko on two occasions. Once in Mahia when he enjoyed teasing people by “stealing” their inflatables and just flicking them out of reach when anyone got near to it. The other time was in Gisborne when he briefly visited and swam up the Waimata river. Cache all fine. Thanks for the memories and the smiley.
Nice location, lots of potential places, but alas new born baby doesn't give me much time to search!
Ryan was staying just around the corner for a few days and he went for a wander to find this yesterday but forgot his pen, so back today to sign it off as FTF. Lovely spot and a perfect place for the summer bach. TFTC
