Took my e-bike here, I tried a few trees, perhaps I'm just not seeing it today, anyhow a DNF here for me today. Wouldn't be surprised the cache is still here though.

I was down in Auckland for the weekend. Friday I went geocaching in the Matakana and Omaha areas. Saturday and Sunday were family days and Monday I went geocaching in the Whangaparoa and Warkworth areas. We walked the kids to daycare and school then my youngest son and I set off on our day. I don't know where we were supposed to start this clifftop walkway but we came down the empty section on Island View Drive. My phone GPS didn't settle at zero but I read a previous log that it was by a tree. I searched unsuccessfully in one corner but then went for the obvious group of trees. Spotted it soon afterwards. Thanks for your hide Smile

Maybe the locals have removed the walkway signs......had a false start at first but was on track soon enough. Was with WHANGA but I forget to sign the log with his name - sorry - but he was here for the find ! TFTC.

Had to poke around a bit before uncovering the cache. Tftc

Id been here some months ago but had been interrupted by a local so had departed the scene.
Back in the area today & very squelchy getting to GZ. Merlot had found this in the past so gave me a hint where it was. Sure enough, still there.
Nice views too. TFTC Big Grin

Lovely walk around the coast to gz. No luck here today despite being with a previous finder.

We came north today to clean up a few of our unfound caches on Whangaparaoa. There is indeed a nice ocean view from here - and a nice cache. Thanks.

Found whilst out with mum keylev and a group of Team SEAC. Had lots of fun today.

Thanks for the cache.

So today a crowd of 14 Team SEAC members encompassing 10 different caching names travelled north to the park and attempted all caches in the park. Logs were signed SEAC to save space. The weather today was perfect. After the park we found a few more in the area, including this one. The views here were indeed amazing.

Team SEAC was out in force today with a mission to knock off the caches to be found in Shakespear Park at the end of Whangaparaoa. This had been on the cards for quite a while now but had always been thwarted by either COVID or bad weather. Today was our fourth attempt at getting the crew together and claiming this area. Having conquered the park, it was time for a few more.

Continuing on from Shakespear Park, we came across this cache. Looking at the houses around the area and the views that they had, we were trying to estimate how much it would cost to buy a property here. We all came to the conclusion that it would probably be way out of our price ranges.

We walked along from the parked cars towards the stunning views before heading to GZ. Once there, it took us a little while to determine which tree the cache was hiding in, but in the end keen eyes spotted the cache. (Log signed as Team SEAC to preserve log space)

07-May-22
Headed up this way today after one of our group suggested (for the fourth attempt) to take a walk around the park....as we had camped up here a few times before, we jumped at the opportunity, plus it was an opportunity of catching up with the group after being locked down by Covid-19.....parked, and headed into the park.
Now out of the park collecting nearby caches....

Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space.

TFTC.

After a morning of caching in Shakespeare Park some of the team SEAC team continued on caching as it turns out well into the night!!

Didn't take long to locate this and we were on our way again.

Thanks for the cache.

Having completed all the caches in Shakespeare Regional Park Team SEAC headed int he general direction of home grabbing some caches on the way

Quick find here

We couldn't find it:(

I had to keep going back! I needed to find it. Great sneaky spot!

15-Apr-22
Not sure how much longer this is going to be accessible as the section is for sale. I missed this on my first 2 passses but thankfully a previous finder was able to point me in the right direction. Quite a sneaky hide as with natural camo on top it is very hard to spot

Out in the Gulf Harbour area so took the opportunity to collect some smiley faces. An easy find thanks to the hint. Thanks for hiding.

Good little find! Could fit some small treasures inside! No pen with us today so couldn’t write on log! Was dry though!

The elder future finder and I are enjoying the good weather this morning/early afternoon before it turns to rain this afternoon to find some hides today. I parked up on the road and made the short walk down the slope to access GZ. I missed the cache on the first pass, but after a full 360 degree pass I found it in the area I first looked. The coordinates were very good. Cheers for the cache placement!

Parked close by, and soon had cache in hand. Now to walk some of the path.

Was out with Supernannny caching at Puhoi and she convinced me to this this one and some at Shakespeare on way home .
Easy find ...

31-Jan-21
Was caching with nette1234 at Puhoi today...so on our way home to West Auckland we chose to do 4 newish caches on the Whangaparoa Peninsula.
Congratulations on your first hide!
Great views...and plenty of access points.
Found in obvious place.
Was rather exposed so covered it with natural camo.

Nice cache, and amazing view from here. As we approached GZ we knew where we would have hidden a cache, and there it was.
The log has got a bit damp and there was condensation in the cache.

Sitting around at home having a lazy Sunday morning when this notification came through. Had to go out and grab some groceries so took a detour here. Cache quickly spotted so once signed I replaced and covered with a small amount of leaf litter. Beautiful views and thanks for the cache placement .
