On a caching excursion in the north with Team Welsh today. We couldn't resist stopping for this capperz cache, this time in honour of Nalani. Think we must have collected most of your grandchildren caches by now. Thanks for this one.
We have found a few of the grandchildren caches in Akl so it was lovely to find some away from home and I know you have family up this way. Nice easy parking and no problems with the cache. Thanks for the cache placement.
We biked from Ngunguru on a very wet and muddy cycle trail towards Scows landing. After stopping at Scows landing for a picnic lunch we cycled back to Ngunguru via the main road. A quick stop here to grab the cache and catch our breath before continuing on our bikes. Thanks Capperz for the cache
Took a little while to find, in fact Hubby had to look for me, but got it in the end. A bit damp inside. TFTC
We are on our way to the annual extended family xmas at Matapouri- a tradition of about 75 years or more. Over that time, the family has definitely expanded. This is a cache that, for some reason, we haven't found yet. Thanks for the placement capperz
On my way to Matapouri for Xmas celebrations..its good get a new cache..the dreaded Vid has kept us away from here for a few years but all good now cheers Capperz
Quick find by Ⓑarefootguru Ⓑruzie Ⓘnfoferret ⒸrystalFairy. Infoferret was very excited about the genuine English container, we had to drag her nose out of it
Day 2 of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the East of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and some Old School Caches. We signed the log as BBIC for Bruzie, BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
Quick and easy find. T4TC

17:49 Day 2 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
Q is for QEF.... Had a holiday here many, many years ago. Lovely place.
TFTC capperz for placing this cache, number 11941 for me.

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day four, touring around Whangarei. In the company of barefootguru, InfoFerret, and CrystalFairy. Signed logs as "BBIC" for brevity.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
Easy find.

Off to Whangarei for 3 days. I’m meeting rustynz and eventually Rebel98 for some caching fun in and around this city. Staying 2 nights at Stonehaven motel, we have a bucket full of caches to do, we have plans! Plans must go ahead.
Rusty has caught up at the motel, and we're off to go kayaking. I have 2 kayaks on my van, mine and hers and we'll be doing an old cache in Ngunguru that requires a paddle and ad labs too.
I was reading the cache page just before logging it, and I realised this story is very familiar to a guy I know, capperz! He too did caches to honor his grand children... funnily, I then noted who the C.O is...lol. This cache is a long way from your home sir! All good here, rusty found this one.

#11,494. I am on a northern road trip to finish off the latest geotour, pick up solved puzzle finals, virtuals, challenges and a sprinkling of other cache types that are close by. After spending the night in Whangarei I have quite a few things planned today before I stop the night in Kaitaia.
I am now heading out to the coast to get the CANZ Northland cache. But wait, this sounds like a familiar cache title. Yep second in the series this trip. Great way to introduce your extended whanau. I headed over to GZ and soon spied the cache. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks capperz for hiding it here.

Back up home in Northland for a few days, so I took a drive out around the Tutukaka Coast to check on my caches and find some of the newer caches out this way. Parked directly opposite this one, then crossed the road for a quick find. TFTC!
Gosh Nalani will be nearly 4 now !
Great place for her hide capperz.
Sadly the jar isn't water tight and my gel pen made a smeary mess on the wet paper.
Will add dry paper and plastic bag next time I come past...
Heading to Tutukaka for a holiday!
Woo hoo!

What a lovely project for your grandchildren!
Unfortunately the logbook was not put in plastic bag, so now soaked!

As we are at Lockdown Level 4 and not supposed to be Geocaching (according to MSC activities guide) I am disabling this cache as it has been handled by the last finder, there is no mention of sanitising hands/container etc.

Getting a bit of cabin fever even after our mid winter dip at high tide. Headed out in the rain but quickly had this in hand. TFTC. TNLN
It's been a while since I have been out so I took the opportunity for a quick road trip. A quick easy find at GZ, the hint was very accurate. TFTC.
1117. 1:14 pm. Another cache with limited parking so we stopped up the side road. Another quick find with a similar container. TFT(welcoming)C.
11.00am. Quick find as we head home after a wedding at Wellingtons Bay.
Thank you. David and Noeline

I'd seen these new caches come out and was tempted to come on the ftf mission with Pete but I'd had a stomach bug recently and was staying home to prevent spreading it.
It would have been a worrying day on Friday for your family with the tsunami warning. I hope their house was on high ground. It wouldn't have been much fun sitting up a hill with nothing to do with the little ones for hours. I'm glad it only came in as a surge and didn't come in as a big wave. The cache was another quick, thanks.

Hanging around Tutukaka for a few days collecting a few caches. I couldn’t resist this one hidden by Marlborough’s Ex DJ.
13 grandkids is an achievement. I don’t envy you remembering all their birthdays.
Lovely part of the world up this coast.

Quick find so close to home, did the weeding while there. Awesome place Ngunguru TFTC
Found while biking around the area... nice tribute for the grandchildren. Thanks for the cache
One the way back from the beach decided to pop in here and grab this relatively new cache on the way home. Pulled into the side road stopped. With good hint cache was located quickly. Signed and replaced. TFTC
Saw these new ones pop up late last night and was tempted to do a midnight mission, but decided to leave it till this morning. The rain had set in overnight, so I was reasonably confident there would be no finds as yet, but a little dampness wasn't going to stop me heading out for an early FTF attempt.
With good parking close to GZ and the good hint, it didn't take long before the cache was in hand. And yes, as hoped for, the log was still blank so was able to sign off for the FTF at 7:00am. Unfortunately, the cache container then toppled off the top of the rock where I had placed it and spilt the contents into the nearby flax. I managed to recover most of the goodies though, but may have missed one or two smaller items. TFTC
