Definitely missing. Had checked at christmas time and the cache was safe then. Replacement cache placed today. Pleased with the length of time the previous cache lasted at a popular spot.
As previously mentioned, no cache could be found. We had a good look around. There was a suggestive group of rocks behind the biggest tree and even a round dent in the soil, but no cache. We widened the search area, but no luck. TFTC
Ooh I couldnt find this cheeky one unfortunately after a good search Thank you from Bomba
We parked here for a tea break & had a good search around. Bang on gz was a likely pile of rocks, but no cache to be seen. Could this one have been muggled?
Weather report is no looking great for later today - so left early for a ride toward Manapouri and back. Ended up turning round at balloon loop road - so about 45 km return trip from the caravan.Trail was pretty quiet so made caching easy yay! A few cars about but no one lookingTFTC
Visiting here from Adelaide (South Australia) for the 2nd time (because its just stunning here). Walked from the Control Gates along the Kepler down to the swing bridge, and then back along the bike trail, collecting caches along the way. A 23km walk with a stunning forest trail next to a beautiful clear river.Cache found and log signed.
Decided to park up at Queens Reach and walk to a few caches. This one was a quick find near where I had parked my car
Quick short ride before tea, nice section great climb up to the top. Thanks Bitsprayer

We saw a jetboat being launched and head downstream, then saw it on the way back from the Horseshoe bend seats.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Cheers, Cympull.
First one after we turned back. We thought about continuing on for the last 2 trail caches but there was quite a gap and rain forecast so headed back to Te Anau. Thanks for the cache, Kiscardi. #8698
I am helping out my kids who are doing the Routeburn Track. So I am caching when I can from Christchurch to Queenstown to Glenorchy to Te Anau and then back to Christchurch.
We had to make a u turn as we biked past it.

Oh! Another first to find for 2023
I'm a little surprised that you think it might flood to here. Holy smokes, that's some river rising.
Found quickly thanks to an odd looking pile of rocks at the base of a beech tree that a cacher would notice immediately.
Thanks kiscardi for hiding a cache here at the oddly named queens reach.
So thiiis is where the town jetboats start from. Ahuh.

Did a bike ride from Balloon Loop to Te Anau to get the last of these before we move to Alexandra. TFTC
AliGle and I were doing a bit of a tour around the south of the South Island in a Jucy Camper over a few weeks. Today we spent the day in Te Anau, going out for a few walks and finding a few caches. Found this while checking out sections of the Lake to Lake trail. TFTC!
Parked and grabbed this one with Vistra. Super busy here with boaties. Had to be discreet in our movements.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we were parked up at the new NZMCA Manapouri camp site & were spending our time exploring the area, on foot & by bike … this is another cache found on the Lake2Lake Mountain Biking/Walking Trail … this was an easy find, log completed & successfully returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,004 for us.
I kept this one for #700. I took the easy option and drove down plenty of trailers about today and some people training for a triathlon. Tftc
Day #6 of my Summer Holiday and time to explore Te Anau on New Years Day. A beautiful hot sunny day and not much wind at all - quite the opposite to yesterday! We stopped here for a very late afternoon tea and found a lovely secluded spot nearby with a picnic table overlooking the river TFTC
In Te Anau for a few days, and having just done the Fiordland Jet, we picked up our bikes to cycle back to Te Anau along the Lake 2 Lake trail. This was the first cache, no problems here, thanks
I have shifted my snail shell to Te Anau from Gore to pick up some of the new caches sinces I was here a year ago.
A nice wee drive to this one.
Cheers for the cache.

Heading to Te Anau for a couple of days picking up the new Lake2Lake caches along the way. This was an added extra, pretty park up area tftc
A fine day, hardly a cloud in the sky, so a good day to get out and make some progress on some souvenirs.
Arived to find a jet boat and driver at the lakes edge, by the time I got back from using the nearby facilities he had been joined by his passengers.
Managed to find the cache just as they got underway - assumed they were focused on their upcoming ride rather than on me.
Nice new container and log book in place with just a few signatures so far.
Thanks for the smilie Kiscardi.

After a lazy day of cabin fever, the weather improved slightly, and I was off...
Parked up at Queens Reach and set off on foot.
Didn't realize this was a FTF until later, thought it was just a replacement log.
Quick easy find, don't think it will flood here.
