Up in Townsville exploring the area and helping the daughter move house. Staying at the Scout Park at Bluewater for a function too. Have looked at this Hill series a few trips ago and decided that today was the day to do them. Thanks for placing the geocache and a lot cooler today than summer to do them tftc sl
In Townsville for a long weekend with alphag_25, Decided to head out to collect as many on the Mt Louisa trail as possible, bit of a hard slog at times but managed to collect most of them. Havent been up here before despite living many years at the bottom of Mt Louisa. Great views.
Very cute container. I also see they are back burning the Pinnacles. Dare I mount another attempt? TFTC
Quick find here where o expected to find it.
Another PT session this morning with the crew and 2 cars meant I didn’t have to rush. Had a patient colleague along for the walk and company. 6 finds we’re welcome as the day started to warm up.

Found while continuing to struggle back to the car with Miss 5 and Mr 5. School holiday adventures for the win. TFTC
Walked up doing some research for Flying views because burgo78 had dome dodgy intel. I don’t know if he can either count or follow instructions too well. In any case this one was close enough. The locking handle is snapped but my marker and can fall off but once slid back into position still seals it up nicely. Cool cache container though. Enjoyed the walk, counting counting counting. So all was fine with this cache. My pen was non existent but my red marking stick came in handy
During the Easter long weekend, it was all about the Townsville Mega event! Highlights included a hike at Cape Pallarenda Conservation Peak, walks atop the local mountains of Mount Stuart, Castle Hill, and Mount Louisa, checking out a few shady spots along Ross River, sewer pipe / tunnel adventures, and a scuba dive to see the Museum of Underwater Art at John Brewer Reef. The Mega events themselves were fantastic: Gadget lab caches, GPS maze, trivia night, tree planting CITO, and Cal's Escape Room. There was also plenty of geocaching to be had, such as power trailing through the geoarts The Saint and the Book, and the collection of challenge caches at Bushland Beach mudflats. My view of Townsville had completely changed from my trip experience, and much kudos to the Cache Qld Townsville Mega Committee.
Whilst walking up at Mount Louisa and making a loop of the area, we took a walk past this geocache. We were a little nervous not to have a hint whilst searching for this small-sized geocache, but sure enough, it didn't take us long to find this cutey container. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. We decided to sign the geocache as DWEG1 (Davidwazza and e.gregory1) to save space in the logbook. Thanks greencordial and tinylemongrass for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found while in Townsville to attend the Mega event.
I travelled up from Adelaide, taking a week or so so get here, meeting up with FeatherWaite to do some caching around the Cunnamulla area then continuing on to Barcaldine and Charters Towers.
While in Townsville I teamed up with Budgietas, Stainless-steel-rat and Gooseandegg on some days, including a day on Magnetic Island, and with Davidwazza at other times. When caching with Davidwazza, logbooks were signed DWEG1.
All in all it was a great week or so in Townsville, with plenty of great caches found.

MEGA Trip - day 5
Assembled the full MEGATRON crew (bella at waggy, dahumbug, tardis0061, crash2079) but today there was no specific plan other than to grab some more old school chaches and a trip up Mt Louisa.
Tried to approach via St Albans Rd but that way was blocked by a gate, so we relocated to the end of Bayswater Rd. It took longer to get to our target but we were able to get more caches. Thankfully its all downhill from here

Great to be back in town as part of The Megatrons ((The Bug, Crash, Tardis and myself).
Well done Townsville and Charters Towers of qualify and variety to go with the Mega.
We wanted to get to a certain cache and I suggested one way but more caches where spotted on another route so we headed there which took its time and toll with over 20000 steps for the day, well by midday. A big and hot day as we tracked all over Mt Louisa finding caches and may have dropped a Bunus or 3.
Some great views and tricky hides along the way.
Maccas AC and frozen cache was a big welcome afterwards.
We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Me: rolls eyes after bushbashing for previous cache through thorny bushes to see there’s no hint for this one.
Me again: that looks like an obvious place not far off the path.
Me yet again: OMG I was right! You DON’T need a hint, after all!

What an adorable little cache! This one took a bit of looking, it helps to take the road less traveled! Found this with Antman. TFTC! ️
First day of my short time off work & was keen to do some geocaching… headed out for a day with “The Cuffs”! Got this my Mt Louisa done & dusted AGAIN

This one is easier to find doing the track clockwise and walking on the service road instead of the main trail. Plus less muggles! This cute container was guarded by a hairy spider but he was quick to scatter for me.
Another day and another gap in my traditional calendar and another nice container.
Just the addition from Ben left for another day. Probably 21st of April.
Thanks greencordial for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

Sunny, mid morning in March is not a great time to do this loop. Ended up on the low road, but found, signed and replaced. Thanks for another cache greencordial & tinylemongrass.
Found with orth71 on a walk along the Mt Louisa track.
Couldnt access from the track but went down the fire trail and access granted.

Thank God for fire tracks, much easier on the heart. We actually headed down the other track until we where 30mts of it then realised it would be better from the other track so we back tracked to catch the smile, cute container.
Thanks for placing this geocache and entertaining me

Found in a fairly obvious spot, which was nice because it was pretty hot and sunny today. Didn’t have a pen so took a photo instead. TFTC!
An hour or two to kill before my plane which was time enough for this new geotrail. FP for the container
11/1/21 14:41 [FTF] This one was a little further on. I know I shouldn’t have as I’m trying to save traditional finds but it was the furthest and would save someone else the rush. TFTC greencordial FP for the container if it is home made.
