We couldnt find it, looked pretty thoroughly, wonder if its been kicked down the bank??
We looked twice, on the way to the first cache and back.Would have been curious for the tricky camo here...
After reading that the last person to find this had placed it back somewhere different than where it was found because they thought it was in the wrong place AND that the CO hadn't been able to find it I was concerned that we would either be here for a long time or have a DNF. I was only concerned for a matter of seconds though as I turned around and saw the cache straight away.Details of its whereabouts were sent to the CO in case they needed to move it.
Went to check this today, I could not find it?, last logger, today, said it was not where he thought it should be so moved it along where he though it should be?, so heavens know where it is now? as did widen my search, and still did not find it.?,Anyone who does find it please send me photos of location & cache, do not post them on cache page, so I can get it back to it's original home. Thank you,
#838 Hunted around wrong trees for a while. Glad we decided to stick around for a while because we eventually managed to spot the sneaky hide. The caches today have had very impressive camo but this is my favourite so far.
Very nice camo. Bugs were making it their home. May need to be water sealed, log is wet
Love the original camo in this series. Such a great job and care taken. Hope you set more series like this again one day. Tftc w Mrpretty
A wet day but we decided to get out and stretch our legs and collect some caches. Parked nearby and walked along the trail to Sanspit Beach. Found this log without any difficulties.
Last one for us along here before we met up with our friends for brunch. Soon found what we were looking for. Thanks for all your caches we found today.

Nice cache, found it faster than we should have.
Incredible camo once again
50th cache total and 8/8 today!

Another well constructed cache that was so well camouflaged that my daughter in law spotted it but didn't realise it was a geocache
We hatched a plan with Tufty to visit Waiuku for the day to collect as many caches as we could before the rains came down. We parked one vehicle at the beach then drove the other to the far end of the trail to begin the walk along the coast trail.
Nice camo on this one, soon spotted and logged. TFTC

Kiwicouple and I had planned for today that we would try and sign off as many of the Waiuku caches as we could. I was limited to smallish walks as I was trying to 'run in' my new replacement knee. So we brought two vehicles out with the idea of placing one at each end of the walks. This did prove very successful.
We duly signed it on the inside of the log.[:o)]. Now how did we do that?
Cheers for the cache.

Really enjoyed this walkway and locating the caches along the way.

NZ MEGA 2020 (in 2022) road trip - Day 7
Having had a fantastic day on Browns Island on Sunday, another member of Team Done by 1 (RustyNZ) and I arranged to go looking for the Crayola 64 series. Having completed it by mid-afternoon, we decided that neither of us fancied battling peak hour traffic so would do some more caching around this area. It's been about 10 years since I was last here in Waiuku, and this is my first visit here as a geocacher.
The weather made for a very pleasant walk along here this evening. We were strolling slowly by this time due to both being tired by now (R had far better cause than I to feel tired) but this was a part of our day to take things a bit gentler, so we did.
A quick find here today of the cute container. No problems to report, and our names were soon added to the logged log, before we headed off to the next cache on what would end up being a really long, but worthwhile day. I had my best single day ever with over 100 finds
Thanks for placing this cache.

More walking around Walker reserve with TwigNZ
It did not take us to long to spot this very clever camoed cache hide, thanks again flossy63 for all your efforts in hiding these caches.

A nice quick find thanks. It is a nice walk around the reserve.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we toured around Waiuku area and found some new spots to us. It is a hot summer so far!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

On our holiday early morning walk. Hunted a while for this one, so long that the neighbour thought we were planting trees, with our hands on the ground looking around for something. Explained to her that her children or grand children might be interested in geocaching, an then moved. Sent phot to owner who said it was the wrong tree, so decided to try cgeo from a different angle, and it went to different tree. Kittycat432 had cache in hand. We showed the neighbour who was still in her garden, signed log, and replaced where found, although dots on lid don't match up. Another good camo cache. TFTC
Out with doandhopers on morning stroll. Spent a bit time here as CGeo had us at the wrong tree. Neighbour poked her head over the fence and asked if we were planting trees as Mr DnH was on his hands on knees for a while. After contactin CO (again, after last cache), finally find it after moving out and back in to another tree by CGeo. Showed neighbour cache ,( she was impressed), signed log and returned cache to hidey hole without neighbour watching.
I still have this cache at home after doing maintenance during lock down, will be back soon,
Removed this cache on my early morning walk this morning for needed maintenance, will have it back in place by time we get to Level 2,
Covid-19 level 4 Lock down, caching is NOT permitted In Level 3 or 4, "Stay at Home"
Today I started off to Waiuku to do this "new" series and to make some points for the "Reach The Peak" challenge. I tried to find the 10 caches on this little spit of land and it was a successful day for me, since I found most of them.
I was very positively surprised by this well-made series. The caches are without exception nicely hidden, fitted with good hints, rich in variety and creativity and plus located in a very beautiful scenery. The weather also played its part to make it a perfect day of caching for me and my team.
Thanks so much for hiding and maintaining this great series. The CO has put lots of effort in it and it turned out to be very enjoyable! Also thank you for taking me here to this nice walkway, which I probably would never have discovered, wasn't it for Geocaching.
Logs are signed as team Piraten (Piratenschatzsucher!, Pyphant and Greenkiwikids)
This was a nice and easy find in a cool and creative container. Hard to open though. As mentioned in previous logs, it could use some maintenance, before it gets even more damaged.
FP from me.

Logging as we go. Mrs beconaze doing the logging duties this time as Mr beconaze is doing “the dance of a thousand ants”. Tftc
Find number 7436. Back visiting daughter and had time to come for a look of a couple of caches I missed last time. No trouble find it this time though as it was much lighter. Well done on the hide. Thank you for the placement.
A clever and well constructed hide.
As the previous log has said it is in need of repair as one of the screws has come out making it difficult to open and close.
Nicely placed, TFTC.

This hide needs some attention of CO as:
1) It is an ants nest at the moment
2) One screw from the lid section is missing so it is quite difficult to open/close it.
But thanks anyway!

out with agazo and alunb today, signed log as ana, they say the more the merrier, in caching more means more eyes and a quicker find, tftc
Out caching with nufrat and alunb in Waiuku, so we had to stop to get the new caches along here. With so many choices, it was good to have a team to exhaust the possibilities. Nice camo. TFTC.
A friend who has heard me talk, a lot, about caching asked if I could take his family out to see what its all about and show his son the 'treasure hunt'. Waiuku is a shortish drive from their house so I picked this trail to give them a show and tell.
I had an idea from the title what we might be looking for here but let the minis have a look for a while with no success. Followed the hint and saw what they had been overlooking so gave them a nudge - the look on the faces was awesome!
It was a bit tricky to get the lid off but the adults helped so it did not get damaged. Log signed everything returned as it should be, I put it back and then asked the new mini cacher if he could spot it again and he was like 'did you put it back, I can't see it?' ha ha
Thanks for the cache - favourite point for the great camo here!

A plan was hatched with Supernanny, Jag50 and Nette1234 to return to Waiuku to get the newish caches here. This one took a few minutes to spot as we walked in circles a bit til our gps settled down. Nice camo here
Thanks for this trail of caches along here flossy63.
A great place for them....
Amazing how many of the homes don't have fences or boundaries..

First day back at COVID Level2 lockdown so a plan was made for a ladies caching day with Merlot58, Supernannny and Nette1234 to visit Waiuku. Really enjoying our stroll along this walkway with the tide out. Must come back and do it when the tide is in one day as I am sure it would look different.
This cache took a short while to locate as it was not what we were initially searching for. Another well camo'd cache by this CO that really blends in with the environment.
