Homebound now, approx 8hr drive. Grabbed a few caches along the way and went through a few different towns, Tottenham > Tullamore > Condo > West Wyalong > Ariah Park > Coolamon then home. This one had us stumped for a while after a few laps around I spotted something, nicely hidden cache. TFTC!

I didn't have much on today and felt like a cache or two!Had to look twice before finding it! After this cache find, as the Lake was almost empty, I walked over to the island, it looked so far away, but it wasn't long until I was there standing in the middle of it.TFTC!

After being met by some hunters who were sighting their new rifles, we told them where we were going and they assured us of our safety. We enjoyed the bird life who won't the bit fazed by the shooters, and then found the cache. Tftc.

It was an interesting time finding our way out to this one and the others nearby. At times we thought we may have been on the wrong road. After persisting we were rewarded with a beautiful view which opened up before us. Unspoilt by muggles or boats, we were alone in our surroundings and had the privilege of enjoying the warm day. A short walk from the car and many photos later we had the cache in hand and were ready for our next find. Thanks for the cache! Found with Domsky and Wombatshark29.

DAY 2

After much planning, saving and extra mods to the 4WD we are finally on our way to Longreach to take part in the QOGM festivities. We have just over a week to get there, so a route was planned to encompass uncharted LGA’s as we zig zag our way through NSW, as well as a slight detour to Coffs Harbour to visit family. Will we make it in time? Who knows, but we are going to give it a good shot.

After camping the night in Ariah Park to wake up to a white sheet of frost we packed up early to start caching in the area. Headed out to the lake to make a quick find here before collecting the info for the nearby multi.

Thanks JohnoMawbs for the placement.

After attending the first event for the day, a plan was made to do a few nearby caches.
We headed off in 3 vehicles, with 4 other teams - fitzy_1965, minniek, Albida33 & sebass19.

The second on the list to be found. We searched high and low, then called the CO.
A replacement was put in place and all team used their initials to sign the log.
Many thanks for placing this cache, JohnoMawbs, for us and others to find.

Headed out to Temora today with fitzy_1965 & albida33.

When Johno mentioned he had a couple of events on today, we knew where we had to be.

We left early and picked up albida at Yass. Got to the CITO a little after start time. Still managed to collect half a bag and salvaged a box that had literally fallen off the back of a truck.

After the CITO we headed out further afield with The Drovers & sebass19.

29,745. Found with minniek, albida33, other Cachers from Canberra, and a few 'locals'.

The two events in the Temora region today were enough to tempt us for a day trip to the area for a clean up run. A 6:30 departure had us arriving at the CITO around 9:40 and we joined in the clean up crew. Enjoyed chatting to everyone about all things Geocaching, and we also planned a group assault on a particularly interesting tree cache. We joined up with The Drovers and Sebass19 and headed off to the cache. Once that was done we grabbed some nearby Trads. This one we searched high and low for but it was certainly gone, and a call to the CO confirmed this. With his permission we placed a replacement. Stamped/signed the log, replaced the cache as it should be, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks JohnoMawbs !! And thanks to The Drovers for the 'lift' to GZ Smile

Day 6 of e.gregory1 and I’s trip to NSW for a week away collecting a few caches that we had planned out and the odd ones here and there. Today we made our way from Bowning to Balranald.

Thanks for the cache

Found on a week-long caching trip over to NSW and Victoria from Adelaide with gridge98.

Our main targets were the wherigo and challenge cache series’ around the Yass and Goulburn areas, although we also found quite a few other Unknown, multi, letterbox, virtual and traditional caches of interest along the way. We even managed to attend an event at Sutton and did a couple of caches just over the border in the ACT.

The middle of winter around the shortest day was probably not the best time to schedule our trip, particularly as we were camping. But despite a little bit of rain one night and sub-zero temperatures on another, the weather wasn’t too bad, albeit on the cloudy and cool side.

In all we covered about 3,300 km over the week and managed almost 350 finds each.

Thanks JohnoMawbs for the cache.

Griffiths Trip Day 2. I packed up my car for a two day drive out to Griffiths and back. Today I continued from near Narrandera to Leeton, Griffiths, Yanga and then Temora for a roadside camp after running out of day light. I visited a wide collection of caches plus a very rough run up to a hilltop cache.

Thanks for the cache JohnoMawbs

10593 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1100. Time for a wander about the shire. Always good to see the countryside and drive on roads less traveled by us. You have got to come and have a look. The area is worth a visit. A couple of locals pulled up and berthed their powerboat for a run around the lake. SL Tnx JohnoMawbs. In good condition.

I head out to the lake today to find me a cache,
(or maybe two),
but was stopped in me tracks by the Mirrool Creek !! [:o]

It was flowing nicely,
and looking about 2 feet deep !!
What stopped me trying to drive through was the softness of the sandy bottom Red Face

I'm saving the caches at the lake for another day Big Grin
The getting bogged bit I saved for later today Red Face
Yep !! It's been wet out this way people !! [:o]

Cache 7853 on 14 Jun 2021.

Road trip! At fairly short notice, TikvaNZ, Fox in Jox, ZQX and myself decided to head west from home in the ACT to South Australia this long weekend to tackle some of the On Your Bike wherigo series and other interesting caches along the way. We only have four days, so we are being fairly selective.

Today we head home from Balranald via Griffith to pick up a few more counties and interesting caches. Unless otherwise indicated, all caches found easily in accordance with the hint .

This cache: quick find while in the area

Thanks JohnoMawbs for the cache and the fun!

DNF but the cache still took us to a beautiful lake previously unknown to us. The lake was almost full and home to many water-birds. Ideal spot for a picnic lunch.

Beautiful spot just out of Ariah Park. Plenty of water in the lake for a change. Searched but could not find the cache. Thanks anyway for bringing us to such a nice area...
