Today we are out with Dadandkidsnz, Minecraftlad, Aunty, Flint, and Brother (6). We parked at the rugby club and had a nice walk for two hours finding five caches together between the rain showers. All good at the GZ, easy find for me. There was a large baby pigeon at ground level, we could not do anything for it and hope it will be ok. Thanks Masher008

Park and grab, but workers were here. I so I had to wait for them to go back to work.Went for a drive to get some caches I normally drive by. Since a nice day, I decided to get some.TFTC cheers zl2sga.
I'm enjoying the sunshine in Friendly Feilding today. I came to look for this once before but gave up because of the number of people about. A lot quieter today and I found it quite quickly. TYFTC
Spent ages searching, then spotted, it was easily overlooked haha. Thanks for hiding this cache.

#13,786. The run up to Christmas has been seriously busy at work and I haven't managed to do any geocaching for over a week. But I am now on Christmas leave and I needed a road trip to help me put work matters behind me. My main aim today was to get some solved puzzles near Feilding, do an adlab and pick up any other caches along the route that took my fancy. After a short circle around the palm I spotted the container tucked away. Signed the log and replaced as found. Could hear the rock pigeons cooing away on a nest somewhere high up in the palm foliage. Thanks Masher008 for hiding it here.
Yay!! Found it on a quiet evening when all the workers had gone home.Peaceful coo-ing sounds from above. TNLNSL TFTC
Took a minute don't be afraid of spider (spider crawled up my arm) but a great hiding spot
This month, Groundspeak spun up "Out and About" on the Wheel of Challenges.
You get souvenir rewards for logging caches on 5, 10, and 20 different days of the month.
I've already got the 5 and the 10 should be easy enough to do, but the 20 finds may be more of a challenge. I managed 32 days in August of 2013 and it nearly killed my passion.
Caching because I *have* to is a lot different from caching because I *want* to...
Tonight is our monthly Blokes' Night Out and we're playing poker this time just around the corner from GZ.
It'd be a shame to come to Feilding and not find a cache towards the month's challenge (especially when I'm running out of unfound ones within lunchtime cycling distance in PN...)
T'was an easy enough find once I worked my way the host.
Thanks for placing this cache

Second attempt to find this blighter. Over in Feilding with Junior and friend for a spot of lunch and a round of mini golf. A couple of times around the specimen. Look, Deltatea. Ahh. There it is. Glad to report not a spider in sight. Not a chance with the feathered friends perched above. Tftc
I quick grab before leaving the area. The longest part was waiting for the muggle to finish loading up his free firewood from opposite GZ and move on.
Thanks for setting this up

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… We’re on a big Easter weekend excursion visiting Vikings and anything else in between.
Easter Monday: Orbited several times and even checked the debris below. No luck today.

At first when I found it I could not get the logbook out because it's so small and I could not get my finger in there, good spot also, very quiet.
Lovely plans and an great place to hide the cache.

There were some people in the business across the road, sitting on chairs and having some down time. They didn't look like they were going to leave any time soon as this was my second visit this morning and they were still there. SO I just went for it and hope they weren't looking while I made the find. Thanks for adding to the adventure today Masher008!
It took a wee while to find this cache. Fortunately all the nearby businesses were closed. TFTC
Good find with woolwood9 on a bit of a road trip today.

My last find before heading off to order my snack pizza. Managed a full circuit before I found the cache and after extracting the lodged log I signed and replaced as found. T F T C Masher008
Headed into Feilding for the second day in a row with a couple of items on my agenda to knock off. I realised earlier that this time last year I was in lockdown (again) in Auckland and had a 2 week hiatus from finding, hence a few days in Feb and early March had not been converted to 10+ which was last years finds per day goal. I also wanted to find a few of the 'Awesome' series as I'd read up on the caches earlier and was interested. Finally I was keen to avenge a non-logged DNF on Things to do in Feilding. The stat-nerd in me realised that if I made 6 finds I could finish on 14222, this year being all about the 2. Finally, I was willing to go to Hell and back for a pizza for dinner. All targets met and ended up meeting one of the COs for the Awesome caches.

Took a few laps and was getting worried my hands were a bit big to get to where it might be but eventually found it. Cache found safe and dry, TFTC.

1.00pm. Took a while with some many places to look but I got it on my thjird pass.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
No pigeons around today. Spent a bit of time searching and finally laid (literally) my hands on it. Nice hiding out from the rain, very clever hide. Tftc
I was expecting this one to take some time but with Kelly0 keen to search we soon had the cache in hand, a rainy day so no pigeon friends but plenty of evidence of recent in habitation.
Checked on cache on way home today all is good cache is still safe and sound where I left it
I found myself staying in Palmerston North last night, and feeling no great rush to get home today I decided to head up to Feilding to do some caching up there as it's not a place I get to often enough.
This was a cache I had tried once before with amusing results (see my 'write note' of March 3rd) so I was hoping to find a pigeon-less GZ today. At least with it being a Sunday morning, there was little to no traffic or Muggles around so I had a free reign to look. Yay, no pigeon today!
Absolutely no issues with the container or log, which is great considering how much rain we've had recently. A quick sign of the log, and it was all put back exactly as found before going off to look for another.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Clever hiding spot, found without too much trouble. Nice quiet spot here today. TFTC!
Stopped to solved the multi and realised this was here, good hiding spot. Overlooked by avian residents today. TFTC
Moved to Palmy for a few months. Decided this was the ideal time to get a streak going. Now Day 50. Headed out after work for a few cache. Basically dark by the time I got here but at least it was free of muggles. Clear hint made for a quick find. Log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
After a couple of nights in Marton we headed over to Feilding today and are staying at Timona Park for the night. A great set-up and very extensive grounds here! We wandered down the way with the geohound to pick up two or three caches. Took a moment or two to locate this one. A matter of getting to the right ‘hole’. There were very few obvious residents above at the time! #3851. TFTC.
#19718. This cache was close to where we had to gather info for a multi, so looked for this one before heading to the multi final. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our last full day in the Manawatu. Today's plan is to mop of the remaining SHIELD caches then head to Feilding and Palmy to do some Adventure labs there. After a lot of driving this week, it'll be good to stretch our legs with some ad labs that involve walking.
We had just gathered the info for the nearby multi, and saw this cache was close by. A quick find. TFTC.

This took two looks . the first there were no pigeons around..mainly because it was earlier in the afternoon, but the second visit some 2 hours later meant there was a pigeeon hovering around . it took a bit of a search/ feel around to locate as it has been pushed well back. so i did put in a small rock to prevent that occurring again. so it was signed and returned to its hidey hole. Thank you for this new cache
In Feilding for Let’s improve the outdoors - A CITO event. When I was near GZ I could see Yeetrees taking a photo of the pigeon. Yeetrees had cache in his hands when I arrived, signed log and he replaced it as he found it. Thanks Masher008 for the cache.
Having a cruise around the area to grab a few caches. As I was hunting the guardian of the cache flew down to check me out...but I soon found the cache under their watchful eye. Tftc
(# 6579). Up to Feilding to attend a CITO event and getting some caches on the way. A quick find. Pleased that I got this one today. I would imagine it would be quite gnarly during business hours. Everything in order. Thanks for bringing me here.
I am logging this as a 'Write Note' rather than a DNF for reasons that will become apparent as you read on...
Having just attended a nearby geocaching event, Yeetrees suggested to me that he and I go and look for this newly published cache. I wanted to kill a little time for it to get darker (as I wanted to do the local Night cache) so figured that would be an excellent way to use time.
Arriving at GZ, It wasn't long until we had located the likely hiding location. But what was this? It looks to all intents and purposes like the back end of a pigeon. Was this the cache? I've encountered some pretty realistic looking animal-themed cache containers before. I have to say that it looked very realistic, and on closer inspection it turned out to be exactly that. A live pigeon had decided to try to roost exactly where the cache was. I could actually see the cache underneath the pigeon!
What ensued was about 10 minutes of trying to coax, cajole or otherwise gently eject the interloper from its impromptu nest. But without success, as we really didn't want to harm it so thought that we would end up leaving it for another day. We hope the bird is OK, and manages to get itself out of the hide tomorrow morning.
If nothing else, it provided a few laughs at the ridiculous luck of finding things as we did!

On her way to the event in Feilding, March On Inn (Manawatu) GC964Z, at 6pm tonight Mrs G deviated slightly to go to this new cache as she presumed this commercial area would have closed for the day and there would be no one around. That presumption was correct but it took a little while to zero in on the correct spot. As she searched she was aware of pigeons cooing and rustling about in the branches above as they settled to roost for the night and was a bit concerned about any carrying out before-bed ablutions above her head!!
When she located the cache she took it to a nearby picnic table to carry out the formalities and then made a quick dash to pop it back in place. She returned to the car unscathed and was pleased to say there was no sign of a resident when she was there! We wonder why that pigeon, as recounted by TwigNZ, has gone there now - its not such a safe spot as higher up. We hope it's okay. TFTC

The latest Geocaching.com list of local new geocaches shows this one is unfound by me.
But I know I've been here and found it late in the day with no muggles about and no problems with roosting residents. A straight forward find. TFTC

So after a baby shower and seeing a dnf I might as well try and see if its there or not, gz fantastically quiet so made for an easy hunt, cache its well hidden and may require more then just an eye, just soon had the cache in hand, thanks for the placement always love seeing more caches in the area
Yes a (FTF) have not had a ftf for a long time and on a beautiful evening
