Another bonus find and park n grab. I jumped out of the drivers seat to make the find here, leaving the kids in the back. But they hopped out to see when I revealed the cool camo job at GZ. Thanks for the fun hide here!
On our way out of the area, we stopped here for this cache. It was AtTheLakeHouse who found the cache here. Its been a beautiful, sunny, successful Saturday in Dayboro. Thanks for the cache
With the purpose of doing Poohsticks today I met up with Duppers early for coffee and a few extra caches while we waited for ATLH to arrive. Now that ATLH has joined us, we moved onto this one.We pulled up with the intention of walking in, ATLH suggested driving us in.After doing Mr Percival we headed back to the car to realise there was another cache a bit further up from where we parked and was on our way out. Of course we had to grab it while we were here too. Signed as ATLH & ShaDup.I found your cache, Timber Trail today. This is my 3261 find.Gcoven, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
An easy walk from the parking spot to this cache. I had it in my hand and put it back before something made me look at it more closely and surprise, there was the container. Log signed and replaced as found. Awarding this a fp for the clever little hide. Tftc.
Great cache. Yet again awesome views. Had to add a bit of paper(old Aldi receipt) as existing paper was full and nowhere to sign. TFTC
We had luch in town then headed out for some 4wd. So far, a fairly easy drive-in. Got to G.Z. We found the existing water damaged log on the ground and No cache..Replaced cache and the new log in zip tie bag. It's all good to go here now . P.S. Please make sure the lid on the new cache is closed.
Found on the ground just as I was about to give up. Log signed and replaced in camo. TFTC
Great view of the mountains and a fun hunt for the cache, neat hide.Found 23/09/23 with bryce3515 T.F.T.C
TFTC this is our 100th fun and 3rd find of the day love going of on a beaten track. Found with DL197 also visited with Blinky bill trackable. Bryce3515 & Zojo and nephew Jeziah this was his 2nd find and he is hooked on finding treasure
Parked at the start of the track and walked in to GZ enjoying the beautiful winter weather and lovely farmland views. A nice quick find. Thanks Gcoven
A pleasant walk to GZ although we could’ve brought the four-wheel-drive down. Cache found safe and dry. TFTC
After the CITO this morning, Kolour and I decided to head out to Dayboro to pick up some caches. Geohound came along for the adventures.
A quick find, log signed and all replaced as found. Giving an FP for this one, love the camo!
Thanks Gcoven and TeamARF for the cache.

After the Ironbark CITO, Willis007 and I headed to Dayboro. Willis007 had a few target caches whereas they were all target caches for me as I’d never found any in this area, so I was very happy to come along. I signed 28 so a good haul.
With limited time, Willis007 decided to drive along this road, getting as far as the rusty dumped car, but stopping quickly on the way to find this cache. Great camouflage. Tftc

Lying in bed this morning I wasn’t sure what the day would bring. I contemplated going to a festival, having lunch out or going for a walk. I just couldn’t make my mind up. It actually became very stressful to make a decision so in the end I decided to do the thing that makes me happiest. So I got in the car and headed out to find secure a few caches in an area where I had quiet a few solved caches begging to be signed
So now that I had a plan for the day, i headed out in the Dayboro direction. Upon arrival I was as starving so when in Rome do as the Roman’s do so I headed straight for the bakery. Fuel on board I headed out to start the day.
I soon came upon ground zero, secured the find and made my mark. Very happy to turn this cache into a smilie and head on to the next find.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found by fellow caches. Apologise for the generic cache.
Cheers

I had a nice drive around Dayboro while the girls were at the big national gem show. Thanks Gcoven for bringing me here!
Gcoven I found your cache Timber Trail on 1/4/2023, 11:05 am. This is my find 4900 and find # 5 today. Found it after a brief search with the help of the hint. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Tricksy! Was about to leave and checked a spot I already had after reading the hint
GPS was a little off so looked around for a bit until I saw something worth a further look. TFTC
Out for another play day Dayboro way with Peppa and TMZ59 and finding more Geosaurus and We heart Geo caches.
After a stop for lunch, we are continuing on our quest to find more caches!!
TMZ59 assessed the road conditions and decided to drive along this road. The Habenaro Sport is a capable vehicle as well as a competent driver so we made light work of this track.
At GZ, we made a quick find. SL then returned as found.

Sixteen months after mega and all roads still lead to Dayboro… I tagged along as TMZ59 and Patrol14 collected a good chunk of the Heart Geoart with the occasional Trad for good measure…
It’s now after lunch,,and this is the first cache none of us have…. I was expecting to walk into gz… I should have known better… with TMZ59 at the wheel of the Habanero Sport we could have almost collected the cache from the passengers seat…
A nicely crafted piece of camo… tftc…
Surely we’d walk from here…

Definitely a road we’ve not been down before. Loving the country drive today... so green.
Didn’t take us too long to find this cache. Nice one.
We found a little space halfway down the log to sign our name (it’s pretty full).
Thank you.

We chose to drive along the road in our 4x4 although we didn't find it overly challenging. My youngest son seems to have a sixth sense... Not of seeing dead people but to finding those well hidden caches that I would most likely miss every time. Very cool concept. Great hide. TFTC
Working out what to pick up on a cache maintenance run and wondered why this wasn't a smilie. Being a co-owner of this cache, logging the find to save me another look when I next look at this area for unfound caches. Thanks to the CO's, wonderful people they are!!
Eagle eyes Teamnanabombana was onto this one! One of these things is just not the same
Thanks for the cache Gcoven

Parked here to begin with whilst on the lookout to do another find not knowing we had pretty much parked on GZ!
Sharpem and I decided to pick up a few smileys . This was our favorite road to visit today. We drove here in my Mazda9 but this was far enough for today. Next time I will bring my jimny to get further along. At gz it took awhile to spot this cache. Thankyou for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Found this cache in this beautiful area with Quesera thank you for placing this cache here
We are collecting a few smileys in the area today and this is one we got! We drove down to GZ where the cache was spotted. All good here log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Gcoven and Team ARF for the cache.
Heading to Brisbane today and decided to go via Dayboro to collect some caches along the way. I parked nearby and once at GZ soon had the cache in hand.
Log signed and all returned as found.

Today I was caching in and around Dayboro with my bestest caching pal Mrs Burdons5. We found a few trads and many in the horse series as well. We encountered a few spiders, one cranky rough scaled snake and a very stubborn stink bug in our travels. No DNF's for us today, although it took us nearly 40 minutes to spot the container at one of the horse puzzles. Thanks to the CO's for placing these caches for us to enjoy
Now that the hordes have dispersed, TripleTurmoil and I decided to met up at Dayboro for a day of caching. The goal for the day was grab the Horse Geo Art so TripleTurmoil could finish it off while also grabbing a couple of other caches as we passed by. In total today I managed 23 finds with 0 DNF's.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring the area and having a good laugh along the way, after all you need a bit of humour to keep things fun.
Thank you to each and every CO for placing caches at these locations and for maintaining them for us to enjoy.
Apologise for the generic log.

Today was the day to finish off the missed caches, especially the horse geoart, due to being rained out at the Mega and returning home early. So the three of us arrived at Dayboro early and met up with Nayfee who joined us on the trip. Hopefully he will again one day after 6 hours in the car with the little Turmoils!
Quick find although it didn't match terrain. We were expecting something much higher.

Out today enjoying the sunshine. Nice little trail. A couple of horses with people went on before us. Soon at GZ. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks GCoven and Team ARF. All good with this cache.
Bumpy road going down, which our car was not used to, but it paid off with a well executed container.
This was about as far as we were able to drive up the trail today. We parked within a few meters of this hide, and quickly set about looking for the container. Didn't take too long.

We found this cache after attending the "CacheQLD - Dayboro" Event. We had our route all planned out, but had to attack it from a different direction when we discovered that the road was closed due to the creek flooding. (We did bypass the road closed sign but only out of curiosity.)
Thank you for adding to our adventure.

I’m sure this part of the world was very busy on the weekend, but not a soul interrupted today. Lovely views from this road and I happily wandered in to GZ to make the find. Thanks very much!

Wednesday. Out doing some maintenance on a couple of our caches in the area - seems the recent Mega has filled up the log books and with all the rain, everything was pretty wet inside them as well. I actually drove too far on one of our caches - always the way when you haven’t been there for a while. Drove down to where the road becomes dirt and mud. I took a look and the mud is actually quite solid underneath. Seems it’s just a huge puddle really. I was in the I30, so didn’t want to risk getting stuck anyway, so parked on the side of the water hole and headed in. Turns out I could have easily driven to this cache, no problem. At GZ I looked around and read some logs. Seems it’s either a quick easy find or a long look.
I started to look all around. Read a log which talked about looking from the right angle. Came from a different angle and it was staring at me. Very clever camo on this one. A wee bit of space left for me to write our name on. Apologies that I didn’t have another bit of log with me to replace whilst I was here sorry. I raced back to the car, thinking I’d drive it back to this location and then foot it to the next cache. Instead I got to the car, decided I was too muddy and so walked back to the cache and then on to the next one.
This was the 1st of 2 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Gcoven*** for showing us this place

Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass, at 15:00. After all the rain, we paRarked at the end of the bitumen and walked in. Clever and well hidden, so it earns a FP. Our thanks to Gcoven.

Gathering some more caches around the Dayboro area with ilook4geo as the Mega wraps up. It is a dismal rainy day, but at least we can still go caching in gum boots. Thanks go to each CO for contributing to the caching scene. We enjoyed all the finds made today.
Last day of caching around Dayboro with goingplaces2. Found quite a few and enjoyed the caching despite the wet weather. Thanks go to the CO for placing this cache.
Today with Day 2 of the Dayboro Mega event, I returned back to Dayboro to attempt a solo yet full day of finding the various solved *Horse* and *We* ?? *Geo* geoart, as well as any other interesting cache types. The weather was rather damp with a continuous pour of rain and showers, and although the light rain was tolerable, there were a few periods of heavy downfalls that were rather miserable. I ran into many other Geocachers during the day, and once my last remaining natural light was lost, I headed back home, grabbing a fast food dinner on the way.
During my travels around the vicinity, I made a stop at the start of the trail, leaving my small Mazda 2 at a safe part in this track to walk the remainder of the way to GZ. I'm sure that I did, as even in my 4WD Jeep, I would have been scared of it getting bogged in these puddles and rutts.
I continued to my walk to this cache, where it took me a good 5-10 minutes of searching around. I was initially distracted by another timber piece, and then I soon discovered the cache nicely hidden. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Gcoven and TeamARF for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

The log is nearly full I wonder why. Thanks for this one. I use to go fishing down the hill to the south 40 years ago.
Grabbing a few caches before the rain sets in today. Teamed up with wazzadavid late morning, and we were able to exchange some of our final coords on puzzles.

That was super hard, we almost gave up! I'm very glad Ravenclaw2480 and I were able to find it!
Moogiechew and I found this cache as part of the Dayboro Mega Event. We spent some time looking for the cache and wandered around the various timber. We were nearly about to give up the search but then found the cache at the first place we looked. I had even picked up the cache previously without realising I had it in my hands. Thank you for the good camoflauge although in hindsight it was a little out of place.
#11127; Day nine of a road trip with Sol de lune for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. Arrived in Dayboro Thursday afternoon and started our socialising and caching in the area. Our caching continued today as part of Team Capital Crunchers, along with Smittengranny, Kittykatch, Joolay, isopeda and barb2e. Our mission today was solved puzzles, in particular the "Horse" geoart series, but we picked up caches from other geoart series, along with other caches we passed along the way. Most caches were found without incident, some harder to get to than others! All in all a damp at times, but otherwise pleasant day caching around the area again before cleaning up ready for the trivia night. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC Gcoven
When I heard that TeamARF had been slaving over the creation of this cache I felt a pang of sympathy. When I realised it was just a fart brewing from a curry about 3 weeks ago I didn’t feel that bad.
We stamped the log knowing the whole other side of it was free. In fact the cache hide was so good I have to award a favourite point. I even got to discuss with the cache creator what he did to make it but lost interest when the sushi from a month ago started rearing it’s ugly head. tftc

Dayboro trip. Day 9. The first full day of the Mega proper dawned and with it the formal opening was observed early in the morning. We then broke into team to spend th3e day caching, targeting the several geo-art series in the vicinity of Dayboro. I was joined by Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Nibblericecakes and Gliss. There were showers on and off all day, but the caching went well, with only a few small breaks when it was too wet. It was great to see all the caches in place and despite some of them being fun and tricky, the pre-mega puzzle solving effort was well rewarded.
Thanks.

24,126. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33, Nibletricecakes and GLISS! to form and sign as MiNiFiGAS!
With the sudden COVID outbreak in Queensland putting the Mega in doubt we decided to head up to the New South Wales / Queensland border hoping that it would still go ahead, and with the announcement that things were mostly returning to normal we decided Plan A still looked good. Day 4. An early start today with an aim of caching our way through some of the Geo-Art around Dayboro (all being pre solved) plus various bonus caches along the way This was the first stop for the day. We parked nearby this one for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as MiNiFiGAS!, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks CacheQLD and all the other Cache owners !! Please forgive the generic logs.

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
After the Mega Opening Ceremony, we teamed up with nibletricecakes, GLISS! & Albida33, signing logs as MiNiFiGA's. Today was the day to put our puzzle solving hard work to the test. We did not let the persistent rain dampen our spirits, tackling the Horse, Pacman & part of the We <3 Geo Geo-art trails and any others in-between. Then ended the day with a Round 5 win in the Trivia Night.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Signed today as MINIFIGA! as I teamed up with GLISS! Minniek, Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 to tackle some counties, trails, oldies and interesting caches. Great to be finally in Queensland with our eyes on the Mega Prize. It was a wet day today but we still managed to grab a lot of caches as we navigated the rain and puddles.
This is the first Mega we have had in Australia in over a year. We have navigated lockdowns, mouse plagues, floods and the dreaded Covid to get here. So wonderful to be able to be out caching in Queensland. Such a privilege. Thanks for the cache.

Dick from Dickbev and me (Wesso) from Wesso Family ventured out to the Daboro Mega Event today.
It was Wesso & Dicko on the road again.
Prior to the event we had a few weeks solving a few puzzles and today it was time to turn a few of them into smilies.
We had a great day getting wet and dodging showers.
A big thank you to all the CO's for the great caches in this area.

Day 2. Another great day full of excitement, laughter and a variety of challenges . Thanks to the organising committee , all the COs and my merry band of friends who all contributed towards making this my most successful caching day ever. All the caches that were attempted were found with the exception of one very challenging cache which we must have overlooked despite numerous pairs of eyes searching for it. Logs were signed and replaced.
Finally we have been able to leave Victoria and our first big stop was to attend the Mega at the Dayboro Showgrounds. After the opening event we went caching with good friends Hans&Linda. Linda and I stayed in the car most of the time acting as navigators and record keepers while Hands and Dennis did the collecting work. We did not get too wet as we dodged the showers. A great variety of caches today. A few laughs and some challenging finds. SL TFTC
Day 1 of the GOM invasion of Qld. B@W I were the advance party and targeted as many Dayboro caches as ppssible in an attempt to achieve types in a day and 100 finds in the day with our guest member Bahumbug.
