I had a couple of hours to play in the area so set off to find a few caches Ive been meaning to get to for a long time. A cute container and thankfully no spiders. Thanks for the cache CacheQLDFind #6539
After finding this cache the kids struck gold on 2 sacks full of 10c containers. Happy cachers
We needed two to complete the finds for the Spell the month in the month challenge. This was the second. We travelled from Brisbane on a miserable day for geocaching. We were originally going for the second one, but the sound of it being swamped with ants sent us to this one. The search was successful. TFTC.
Dropped by on our way home from Dayboro show to collect a Y cache for my spell July challenge. A fave point from me. TFTC!
Pulled in to collect these after a great morning out riding in the area. Bellbirds calling in the background while I discovered the cache.
Last one to finish off the series! Very cute container. TFTC and thanks for the series
So far were not getting our steps up this morning due to so many park and grabs. Cache number 5 for the morning and #1198 in total for me. Not sure what were collecting here but we took note of what was inside. TFTC, found with mugglemum10.
Found the colourful letterbox, first find today. Log signed, no stamp inside. Thanks for the cool container and placing this series.
Nice quick find, good little trip to increase our letterbox tally! On a whirlwind trip over from WA to pick up our caravan and head back to WA, nice to be able to grab a few easy caches along the way.
Thank you CacheQLD for placing and maintaining You've Got Mail #1 for us and others to find and enjoy.

After collecting some cool caches around Dayboro with Kolour this morning, we decided to hit the mail trail and collect some letter box caches.
A quick find here, log signed and cache replaced as found.
We also stopped here on the way back as we wanted to know what the 6th stamp letter was ... no stamp in the cache, I will forever wonder what the word was being spelled out.
Thanks CacheQLD for the cache.

After the Ironbark CITO, Willis007 and I headed to Dayboro. Willis007 had a few target caches whereas they were all target caches for me as I’d never found any in this area, so I was very happy to come along. I signed 28 so a good haul.
Heading back towards where the CITO was, we decided to come along this road as there were plenty of caches both of us had not found.
Very cute container and a fp for all of these letterbox caches. Tftc

I am in the area for the next three days finding caches and camping out.
My main goal is the complete this geo-art.
I have had the final coords for quite some time and discovered along the way that a couple of caches have had a change of final coords which is ok because I know that can happen.
Otherwise, I had a good couple of days slowly driving around the back roads finding caches.
I also found a few non geo-art caches as I travelled past them along the way.
Thanks for the drive, adventure, and caches.

Today we decided to tackle the Postman's Track, needing to collect a few Letterboxes for a challenge . Parked nearby and crossed the road to find the very cute container. A fav point from us. TNLNSL TFTC
This was one of my target caches for this afternoon, as I needed a ‘Y’ that wasn’t a Trad. About 1/2 hr drive from work, then another 1/2 hr home (via another cache which was a DNF). A long way for a single cache. Time is of the essence this month though, so needs must. Thanks to Shazzar66 for being a patient caching buddy this arvo. TFTC
Staying in Dayboro for a while. Theres definitely no being bored. Weve been tucked inside solving as many puzzles as possible and using lifelines to get help when we hit a brick wall. Today we headed out to convert a couple of smilies. Big day out 44/51. Lots of overgrowth after the recent rains all making for some challenging caching today.

2251 - I headed out to grab a couple of Adventure Lab caches and to grab the 7 caches along this road that I hadn't grabbed yet, including the six Letterbox Hybrid ones. It was a windy and cool day for the first day of winter with the wind blowing from the west. I found this one in great condition at 3:26pm. Thanks for placing these caches along the aptly named road CacheQLD.
Haven't done a letterbox in quite a while, so nice to find a series of six. Picked up the TB
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa.
Staying in nearby Ocean View and we had a free day. Had a great time exploring the area, enjoying the views and picking up smilies.
I can’t resist a letterbox so this trail was a must for us.

Woke at 5am to the wife asking me to not toss and turn and keep her awake for another few hours while she caught up in some sleep
To good an opportunity to miss so I suggested I head out for an early morning cache. Had a run in this area on the radar all ready so it worked perfectly
Awesome morning to pick up a few caches in this beautiful part of the world.

Heading home after a pie and coffee afternoon and we decided to take trip down the Postman's track to find this series of caches . I have been down here a number of times previously for caches and I was looking forward to another trip.
I spotted the cache as I hopped out of the car. Luckily, the area is rather remote and the cache has lasted in the current location.

Time for us to take our caching up a gear, we've been a little slack of late.
A country run sounded like a plan so we set our sights just south of Dayboro & picked up a few other caches on our run northwest.
Quick find here.

It's been some time since my last outing and my monthly total was looking, well.. Rather dreadful, so I decided to head out to fix that. The plan for the day was the head north west towards Dayboro and finish off the Horse GeoArt (Minus the challenge), the letterbox trail and a bunch of other caches I would pass while in the area.
Thanks for placing the cache here for me to enjoy. I had wonderful time exploring the area.

2nd cache for the day and find #497. We saw these caches published back before the mega but hadnt had a chance to come and do them. A cool container tucked away from the passing world. Sadly the stamp has gone wandering off. We signed the log and headed off for the next one in the series. Thanks for hiding these CacheQLD. The kids are still talking about how much fun the mega was....

A day free of obligations today so we headed here to get some of the caches we missed at the Mega. Much better caching weather today. Have had a great day. Many thanks to CacheQld for organising the Mega, the peeps who designed the puzzles and those who placed the caches.
I was out on a caching day exploring Dayboro with my bestie and her two geodaughters today, The girls were great letterbox spotters and we enjoyed the trail. Thanks for placing this trail CacheQLD and tftc!
Found it,unfortunately the stamp was a DNF. Hopefully the next ones will be better.
We found this cache after attending the "CacheQLD - Dayboro" Event. We had an interesting day, and kept meeting up with DriftinDillons and DickBev on our travels. Somewhere on our travels we also reached another milestone for our stats page.

Final Day of the Dayboro Mega. Out caching with Burgo78 and BenM70. Loved this Letterbox series. TFTC CacheQLD
An Easter long weekend means a roadtrip! Lockdown 3 ended in Melbourne last month so we had an opportunity to head north on a one-week journey to the Gold Coast. Clearly that one week was not a great estimate - we had to deal with NSW floods, Byron Bay lockdowns, and Queensland lockdowns. The rerouting meant Pacgirl had to fly home from Coolangatta and I kept heading north to the Dayboro Mega and then the Sunshine Coast. This became a caching trip where I targeted lab caches and earthcaches. After 6,500km and more than 3 weeks I finally got back home with approval from the Victorian government. Ultimately this trip didn't go as planned - it ended up being much, much better !
I finally arrived at a rainy Dayboro Mega on Sunday evening after dropping PacGirl off at the Coolangatta airport in the morning. Easter Monday (roadtrip day 9) and big caching day was planned for the day, initially aiming for 10 cache types in a day. Started off early in the morning before the camp woke up and after some trads in town it was back to the Mega HQ GZ to register officially and do the usual Mega things like excellent lab caches, pathtags and trackables. With a lot of rain over the whole long weekend things were very quiet at a muddy camp by this closing stage. I then headed out of town for the day.
***
I had to include a letterbox hybrid in the day's effort, and fortunately there was a whole series along this appropriately named Postmans Track.
First one was a bold hide and found easily.
Thanks for the fun, CacheQLD.

The rain slowed down and the decision was made to head out with Hans&Linda to find a few caches. While in lock down in Victoria we solved and solved and solve puzzles as they were published. All the caches we tried for today were found, some took a bit more finding than others. SL TFTC
#2325 - Commuting to the Qld Mega every day with gcraider. Having finished all the Lab Caches and attended a few interesting seminars it's now time to explore further afield.
We have solved all the "Horse" puzzle caches and will attempt to find a few in between showers if we can help it. On the way we pick up a few trads as well.
Apologies for the generic logs on these, but during a Mega there generally isn't enough time to write essays..... Finding caches and having fun is our main aim.

TFTC. We had spent the previous months in Victoria on lockdown. During this time we busily solved puzzles in preparing for the Dayboro Mega. After a frustrating morning stuck inside the motorhome the rain eased to a drizzle and the severe weather warnings were cancelled. Our good friends muff1 asked if we wanted to come out to cache. needless to say we jumped at the opportunity. A great afternoon finding caches and not getting to damp.
Found with goldielover today and trickyt. A break in the rain made this much nicer.

We had no problems finding the caches we targeted (though there was one monster in a rock wall that took forever to find - despite having a previous finder).

Finally, a real geocaching mission with an airplane flight, nights away, so many caches on the list and a road trip home! Flew up from CBR on 1 April with TikvaNZ to join Fox in Jox for a 5 day full-on mission centred around attending the Dayboro Mega event. Plan is to cache in around BNE, targeting old caches, virtuals, LBHs, Wherigos, DT combinations and anything else that takes our fancy and then start heading home Monday via as many counties as we can squeeze in. We have so many caches on the list we are unlikely to get them all, but we will try our best! Don’t care if it rains or snows - QLD here we come!
This cache: thanks for the LBH series! Fav point comin at ya

Just picking up some caches for the afternoon while attending the Dayboro mega. TFTC.
On a dismal and wet afternoon we worked out a caching run with ilook4geo which included a mix of traditional, challenge and puzzle caches. All containers were OK and each log was dry. Sometimes full caching names were used and sometimes it was just initials. Thanks go to the CO for placing this cache, which was a pleasure to find.

Another wet drizzly kind of day. And Easter Day to boot. Which means the only wallies out and about would be geocachers, right? Fangsoki, Pprime and I decided to head out today and grab a few Dayboro caches, with the letterboxes on my list to get.
As we pulled up for our first one, we saw a vehicle and a suspicious couple of characters hanging around a tree. Well that could only be one thing. As we exited the Canyonero, they headed back to their geovehicle and we said a quick hello to spikeymikey and his mate here, before heading over to sign the logbook too.
Thanks for the cache CacheQLD.
