I had a couple of hours to play in the area so set off to find a few caches Ive been meaning to get to for a long time. I took the steep approach and overshot it but didnt take long to find it. Thanks for the cache CacheQLDFind #6544
Tftc. A bit of a hill would make delivery by the postman tricky for this box.
Quick find and cool container! Unfortunately a little friend has made this cache his home, so we didnt sign it Have a photo if needed! TFTC
Cache number 9 this morning. Not in a Rush just cruising along picking up a few random caches. Found without issue. Cleared the webs out of this cache and took note of the letter we needed. TFTC, found with muggle mum.
Its always good to find a Letterbox. Especially when the Letterbox is a letterbox. This was an easy find for Shazzar66 today, although most things are an easy find for her.We spent today cache around the Daybro/Lake Samsonvale area with the aim of finding as many caches as poss, and also hopefully qualifying for a Challenge or two. It was a long, but successful day which started for me at 5:40am and finished at 7pm. I had a long list of solved puzzle caches, as well as these letterboxes, and a couple of other caches that we came across. Thanks again, CacheQLD for all the work which has given us a lot of fun.
I headed out in the geo-car with Nelly for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few around Samsonvale.I found your cache, You've Got Mail #5 today. This is my 2384 find.Quick find.CacheQLD, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Another wasy find along this trail, log stamped and geobook stamped, onto #6. Thanks for placing this series.
Nice quick find, good little trip to increase our letterbox tally!
Log book is nearly full, will need replacing soon, did not have any spares on me unfortunately!
On a whirlwind trip over from WA to pick up our caravan and head back to WA, nice to be able to grab a few easy caches along the way.
Thank you CacheQLD for placing and maintaining You've Got Mail #5 for us and others to find and enjoy.

After collecting some cool caches around Dayboro with Kolour this morning, we decided to hit the mail trail and collect some letter box caches.

After the Ironbark CITO, Willis007 and I headed to Dayboro. Willis007 had a few target caches whereas they were all target caches for me as I’d never found any in this area, so I was very happy to come along. I signed 28 so a good haul.
Heading back towards where the CITO was, we decided to come along this road as there were plenty of caches both of us had not found.
This one had a black spider on its web in the box. Maybe a house spider? All good with the logbook. Tftc

I am in the area for the next three days finding caches and camping out.
My main goal is the complete this geo-art.
I have had the final coords for quite some time and discovered along the way that a couple of caches have had a change of final coords which is ok because I know that can happen.
Otherwise, I had a good couple of days slowly driving around the back roads finding caches.
I also found a few non geo-art caches as I travelled past them along the way.
Thanks for the drive, adventure, and caches.

only found the one out of this series as was on a tight schedule for the day and needed this particular DT combo for something. we had a great time driving around the area and exploring the countryside, especially since we didn't get time for that while at the dayboro mega. TFTC
Having a peaceful morning on the track with krcamber, we spotted this one from the car.
Krcamber took the hard way up to the letterbox and was rewarded!
Thanks for the letterbox cache, CacheQLD

Swearah and I both spotted this one from the car as we pulled up at GZ. I took the steep way up and surprised myself by being more careful on the way down. Knowing my luck, I would’ve ended up flat on my face or broken something! Thanks for the letterbox cache!
Enjoying the country drive. Didn’t get to these letterboxes on the weekend.

Today we decided to tackle the Postman's Track, needing to collect a few Letterboxes for a challenge . Another quick find. TNLNSL TFTC
Staying in Dayboro for a while. Theres definitely no being bored. Weve been tucked inside solving as many puzzles as possible and using lifelines to get help when we hit a brick wall. Today we headed out to convert a couple of smilies. Big day out 44/51. Lots of overgrowth after the recent rains all making for some challenging caching today.

2255 - I was out grabbing the Letterbox Hybrids and one Traditional along this road this afternoon, on a cool and windy day for the first day of winter. I found this one in great condition at 3:50pm. This one took a bit of effort to get up the small hill which was soft underfoot from all the recent rain. Thanks for placing these here CacheQLD, a great series along an appropriately named road.
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa.
Staying in nearby Ocean View and we had a free day. Had a great time exploring the area, enjoying the views and picking up smilies.
I can’t resist a letterbox so this trail was a must for us.

Woke at 5am to the wife asking me to not toss and turn and keep her awake for another few hours while she caught up in some sleep
To good an opportunity to miss so I suggested I head out for an early morning cache. Had a run in this area on the radar all ready so it worked perfectly
Awesome morning to pick up a few caches in this beautiful part of the world.

A last minute decision to cache in Dayboro has seen me come west… I collected the first of these letterboxes on the day they were published….
Since then I’ve kept them in reserve to help qualify for “Spell … in ….” Challenges, but they’re finished so I can finally collect this last one…
Almost a park’n’grab… tftc…

We've come out this wet and gloomy afternoon to collect a few more of the amazing amount of caches around Dayboro thanks to the recent Mega. We need to add more letterboxes to our tally so this was a good area to concentrate on.

Time for us to take our caching up a gear, we've been a little slack of late.
A country run sounded like a plan so we set our sights just south of Dayboro & picked up a few other caches on our run northwest.
Nice quick find.
Terrain 3?
OK, I'll take it but I wouldn't have picked it as such.
Lots of cobwebs but no residents at the moment.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Out for the day with Gunnie69 and GhostGums. We are making our way through all the geoart in the area since the Mega in April. Beautiful day today too. TFTC (apologies for generic log, I think the boys summed up all the finds for the day, and Im late logging these!
An eventful, but enjoyable morning out with NurseyJulie and Ghostgums as we pay another visit to the dark side to turn some icons into smileys. [^] No lockdown, spectacular weather, good company and stacks of unfound caches. What else do you need on a casual Saturday around Dayboro.
We mixed the day up with a few different cache types and sadly threw some DNFs in for good (or bad) measure. A very productive morning on the trails though and a little more of the geoart taking shape.
No trouble spotting this one when we arrived at GZ and our names were aded to the log. Thanks for all the effort and caches in this series CacheQLD, it's very much appreciated.

A smiley has been added to You've Got Mail #5! *
Today caught up with Gunnie69 and NurseyJulie to finish up some caching around Dayboro that we couldn't manage during the Mega. Well we did have a lot of solved puzzles still to find! So the plan was to hit the local roads and capture oursleves a wild stallion or two, and then maybe show a little love along a side track. There is also traditional love and the odd letterbox!
Thanks CacheQLD for the Letterbox Hybrid cache, the hunt and the smiley today! [D*|

It's been some time since my last outing and my monthly total was looking, well.. Rather dreadful, so I decided to head out to fix that. The plan for the day was the head north west towards Dayboro and finish off the Horse GeoArt (Minus the challenge), the letterbox trail and a bunch of other caches I would pass while in the area.
Thanks for placing the cache here for me to enjoy. I had wonderful time exploring the area.

1Minniemoo and I looked at the map trying to decide where to go today and decided finishing the Horse geoart might be the way to go. All up we found 37 caches in a school day which is a new record for me. A couple of extra letterboxes for me amongst that number.
A good day out with one close snake encounter and lots of back roads and uturns!

Last cache of the afternoon for us. Parked close to GZ. Only had one of the geokids volunteer to assist with this one. Fatigue setting in for the rest of the crew. A quick find once we got to GZ. Collected our last stamp, signed the log and headed home. Thanks CacheQLD again for an enjoyable afternoon out.
A lovely drive along this road doing the mail run and this is one we found. Great container looking forward to the next one. Thank you for these caches CacheQLD.

A day free of obligations today so we headed here to get some of the caches we missed at the Mega. Much better caching weather today. Have had a great day. Many thanks to CacheQld for organising the Mega, the peeps who designed the puzzles and those who placed the caches.
I was out on a caching day exploring Dayboro with my bestie and her two geodaughters today, The girls were great letterbox spotters and we enjoyed the trail. Thanks for placing this trail CacheQLD and tftc!
Found the cache, moved the spider that was in residence and was able to sign the log and use the stamp.
We found this cache after attending the "CacheQLD - Dayboro" Event. We had an interesting day, and kept meeting up with DriftinDillons and DickBev on our travels. Somewhere on our travels we also reached another milestone for our stats page.

Final Day of the Dayboro Mega. Out caching with Burgo78 and BenM70. Loved this Letterbox series. TFTC CacheQLD
An Easter long weekend means a roadtrip! Lockdown 3 ended in Melbourne last month so we had an opportunity to head north on a one-week journey to the Gold Coast. Clearly that one week was not a great estimate - we had to deal with NSW floods, Byron Bay lockdowns, and Queensland lockdowns. The rerouting meant Pacgirl had to fly home from Coolangatta and I kept heading north to the Dayboro Mega and then the Sunshine Coast. This became a caching trip where I targeted lab caches and earthcaches. After 6,500km and more than 3 weeks I finally got back home with approval from the Victorian government. Ultimately this trip didn't go as planned - it ended up being much, much better !
I finally arrived at a rainy Dayboro Mega on Sunday evening after dropping PacGirl off at the Coolangatta airport in the morning. Easter Monday (roadtrip day 9) and big caching day was planned for the day, initially aiming for 10 cache types in a day. Started off early in the morning before the camp woke up and after some trads in town it was back to the Mega HQ GZ to register officially and do the usual Mega things like excellent lab caches, pathtags and trackables. With a lot of rain over the whole long weekend things were very quiet at a muddy camp by this closing stage. I then headed out of town for the day.
***
I had to include a letterbox hybrid in the day's effort, and fortunately there was a whole series along this appropriately named Postmans Track.
By this stage I had met and teamed up with pajamateam along the way.
Another bold hide. A FP here for the effort with these containers.
Thanks for the fun, CacheQLD.

The rain slowed down and the decision was made to head out with Hans&Linda to find a few caches. While in lock down in Victoria we solved and solved and solve puzzles as they were published. All the caches we tried for today were found, some took a bit more finding than others. SL TFTC
#2329 - Commuting to the Qld Mega every day with gcraider. Having finished all the Lab Caches and attended a few interesting seminars it's now time to explore further afield.
We have solved all the "Horse" puzzle caches and will attempt to find a few in between showers if we can help it. On the way we pick up a few trads as well.
Apologies for the generic logs on these, but during a Mega there generally isn't enough time to write essays..... Finding caches and having fun is our main aim.

TFTC. We had spent the previous months in Victoria on lockdown. During this time we busily solved puzzles in preparing for the Dayboro Mega. After a frustrating morning stuck inside the motorhome the rain eased to a drizzle and the severe weather warnings were cancelled. Our good friends muff1 asked if we wanted to come out to cache. needless to say we jumped at the opportunity. A great afternoon finding caches and not getting to damp.
4th in the series. Some other cachers came up behind us as we were signing the log
I found this cache as part of the Dayboro Mega Event. This is my 5th letterbox cache. This time we are followed by another team of cachers. They are upon us just as we find the cache. Moogiechew and I take a little longer caching because we make sure to write logs and take photos for CO and enjoy the experience. Thanks for the series
Thanks for another one. My uncle use to have pineapples along this road. I did not find any of his mail in the boxes.

Finally, a real geocaching mission with an airplane flight, nights away, so many caches on the list and a road trip home! Flew up from CBR on 1 April with TikvaNZ to join Fox in Jox for a 5 day full-on mission centred around attending the Dayboro Mega event. Plan is to cache in around BNE, targeting old caches, virtuals, LBHs, Wherigos, DT combinations and anything else that takes our fancy and then start heading home Monday via as many counties as we can squeeze in. We have so many caches on the list we are unlikely to get them all, but we will try our best! Don’t care if it rains or snows - QLD here we come!

Just picking up some caches for the afternoon while attending the Dayboro mega. TFTC.
On a dismal and wet afternoon we worked out a caching run with ilook4geo which included a mix of traditional, challenge and puzzle caches. All containers were OK and each log was dry. Sometimes full caching names were used and sometimes it was just initials. Thanks go to the CO for placing this cache, which was a pleasure to find.
