I had a couple of hours to play in the area so set off to find a few caches Ive been meaning to get to for a long time. Spotted the blue amongst the bark and made a quick find. Thanks for the cache CacheQLDFind #6548
Tftc. I found the container with log but no letterbox?? I was expecting there would be one. Thanks for the series. It was nice going along the postman's track.
#1206 Surprisingly how quickly we get habituated to patterns. This took a little bit longer than the other purely because I made an assumption I was looking for the same thing. I searched around the map for a bonus mystery cache for the word but I was wrong again. TFTC, found with muggle mum.
At first expected something larger so momentarily tricked. Rain holding off so didnt get wet. Very picturesque and lovely bird sounds!
Found with Shazzar66 on our big day caching around Lake Samsonvale. Our aim was to find as many caches as possible, and qualify for a challenge or two. I think we succeeded, especially considering Im still logging caches. We had three DNFs that all definitely werent there, and we had up to around 60 finds over about 10 hours, with a coffee and lunch breaking between. These caches were nice and easy to find,Thanks CacheQLD, for the cache and the series
I headed out in the geo-car with Nelly for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few around Samsonvale.I found your cache, You've Got Mail #6 today. This is my 2384 find.Quick find.CacheQLD, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Last one of the series, after the storm this week the road is more of a rocky dirt road, gps bounced around to either side of the road but the cache was easily spotted with cache-senses turned on. Log stamped and geobook stamped. Thanks for the drive through such a peaceful part of the world.
Nice quick find, good little trip to increase our letterbox tally!
On a whirlwind trip over from WA to pick up our caravan and head back to WA, nice to be able to grab a few easy caches along the way.
Thank you CacheQLD for placing and maintaining You've Got Mail #6 for us and others to find and enjoy.

After the Ironbark CITO, Willis007 and I headed to Dayboro. Willis007 had a few target caches whereas they were all target caches for me as I’d never found any in this area, so I was very happy to come along. I signed 28 so a good haul.
Heading back towards where the CITO was, we decided to come along this road as there were plenty of caches both of us had not found.
No letterbox here but the Sistema with logbook was in good condition. Tftc

I am in the area for the next three days finding caches and camping out.
My main goal is the complete this geo-art.
I have had the final coords for quite some time and discovered along the way that a couple of caches have had a change of final coords which is ok because I know that can happen.
Otherwise, I had a good couple of days slowly driving around the back roads finding caches.
I also found a few non geo-art caches as I travelled past them along the way.
Thanks for the drive, adventure, and caches.

Today we decided to tackle the Postman's Track, needing to collect a few Letterboxes for a challenge . This was the last find on the Track, a quick park and grab. TNLNSL TFTC
Staying in Dayboro for a while. Theres definitely no being bored. Weve been tucked inside solving as many puzzles as possible and using lifelines to get help when we hit a brick wall. Today we headed out to convert a couple of smilies. Big day out 44/51. Lots of overgrowth after the recent rains all making for some challenging caching today.

2257 - I found the sixth Letterbox Hybrid this afternoon at 3.59pm, on this cool and windy afternoon for the first day of winter. It was in great condition and well hidden. Thanks for placing this series of caches here CacheQLD.
Not really a letterbox cache - assuming the original outer might have gone missing?
OCW the Bebes. Camping in the area and thought we would pick up a few caches today. TFTC
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa.
Staying in nearby Ocean View and we had a free day. Had a great time exploring the area, enjoying the views and picking up smilies.
I can’t resist a letterbox so this trail was a must for us.

Woke at 5am to the wife asking me to not toss and turn and keep her awake for another few hours while she caught up in some sleep
To good an opportunity to miss so I suggested I head out for an early morning cache. Had a run in this area on the radar all ready so it worked perfectly
Awesome morning to pick up a few caches in this beautiful part of the world.

I was tricked by the lack of an outer container and initially overlooked the hiding spot and started searching elsewhere and after finding another interesting "container" near the fence on the other side of the road I returned to where the GPS was indicating and looked a bit closer and found the cache.

We've come out this wet and gloomy afternoon to collect a few more of the amazing amount of caches around Dayboro thanks to the recent Mega. We need to add more letterboxes to our tally so this was a good area to concentrate on.

Time for us to take our caching up a gear, we've been a little slack of late.
A country run sounded like a plan so we set our sights just south of Dayboro & picked up a few other caches on our run northwest.
rowds are gone we decided to convert a few more to smilies.
Aha!
Last of the letterboxes except NO letterbox? [?]
Guessing it's been pilfered? [?]
Quick find.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Out for the day with Gunnie69 and GhostGums. We are making our way through all the geoart in the area since the Mega in April. Beautiful day today too. TFTC (apologies for generic log, I think the boys summed up all the finds for the day, and Im late logging these!
An eventful, but enjoyable morning out with NurseyJulie and Ghostgums as we pay another visit to the dark side to turn some icons into smileys. [^] No lockdown, spectacular weather, good company and stacks of unfound caches. What else do you need on a casual Saturday around Dayboro.
We mixed the day up with a few different cache types and sadly threw some DNFs in for good (or bad) measure. A very productive morning on the trails though and a little more of the geoart taking shape.
No trouble spotting this one when we arrived at GZ and our names were aded to the log.
The find ticked over a mini milestone for me, with it being my 200th Letterbox cache. Pretty happy with that.
Thanks for all the effort and caches in this series CacheQLD, it's very much appreciated.

Today caught up with Gunnie69 and NurseyJulie to finish up some caching around Dayboro that we couldn't manage during the Mega. Well we did have a lot of solved puzzles still to find! So the plan was to hit the local roads and capture oursleves a wild stallion or two, and then maybe show a little love along a side track. There is also traditional love and the odd letterbox!
Thanks CacheQLD for the Letterbox Hybrid cache, the hunt and the smiley today! [D*|

It's been some time since my last outing and my monthly total was looking, well.. Rather dreadful, so I decided to head out to fix that. The plan for the day was the head north west towards Dayboro and finish off the Horse GeoArt (Minus the challenge), the letterbox trail and a bunch of other caches I would pass while in the area.
Thanks for placing the cache here for me to enjoy. I had wonderful time exploring the area.

1Minniemoo and I looked at the map trying to decide where to go today and decided finishing the Horse geoart might be the way to go. All up we found 37 caches in a school day which is a new record for me. A couple of extra letterboxes for me amongst that number.
A good day out with one close snake encounter and lots of back roads and uturns!

After our 500th find on Youve got mail #4 we decided to skip to the end of the Postmans Track and check out the trails in the conservation area around Lake Samsonvale. Getting back to the car a few hours later, it was time to collect the rest of the series. This one was next on the list. Started looking on the wrong side before switching sides and finding immediately. Its a shame this one is now only the inner shell of its series mates. A nice area to cache in none the less. Thanks for maintaining this one CacheQLD.
Logging as part of the replacement crew. Road was covered in branches from the winds over the last few days. TFTC!
A lovely drive along this road doing the mail run and this is one we found. This is our last letter box but the box was not present only a container. We signed the log and replaced as found. Thank you for these caches CacheQLD.
Haven't had a chance to cache for a while, so decided to head north of Brisi and find a few.
Also my geodog Scruffy wanted to do some caching as well
umm is this a 'mailbox' type cache [?] .. one this is for sure, the recent rain has got in and the green ink from the stamp has gotten all over everything ...

I was out on a caching day exploring Dayboro with my bestie and her two geodaughters today, The girls were great letterbox spotters and we enjoyed the trail. Thanks for placing this trail CacheQLD and tftc!

We found this cache after attending the "CacheQLD - Dayboro" Event. We had an interesting day, and kept meeting up with DriftinDillons and DickBev on our travels. Somewhere on our travels we also reached another milestone for our stats page.
The cache was soaked, we spent some time drying it out, but it still needs some "Owner TLC".
Thank you for adding to our adventure.

An Easter long weekend means a roadtrip! Lockdown 3 ended in Melbourne last month so we had an opportunity to head north on a one-week journey to the Gold Coast. Clearly that one week was not a great estimate - we had to deal with NSW floods, Byron Bay lockdowns, and Queensland lockdowns. The rerouting meant Pacgirl had to fly home from Coolangatta and I kept heading north to the Dayboro Mega and then the Sunshine Coast. This became a caching trip where I targeted lab caches and earthcaches. After 6,500km and more than 3 weeks I finally got back home with approval from the Victorian government. Ultimately this trip didn't go as planned - it ended up being much, much better !
I finally arrived at a rainy Dayboro Mega on Sunday evening after dropping PacGirl off at the Coolangatta airport in the morning. Easter Monday (roadtrip day 9) and big caching day was planned for the day, initially aiming for 10 cache types in a day. Started off early in the morning before the camp woke up and after some trads in town it was back to the Mega HQ GZ to register officially and do the usual Mega things like excellent lab caches, pathtags and trackables. With a lot of rain over the whole long weekend things were very quiet at a muddy camp by this closing stage. I then headed out of town for the day.
***
I had to include a letterbox hybrid in the day's effort, and fortunately there was a whole series along this appropriately named Postmans Track.
This was the most By this stage I had met and teamed up with pajamateam along the way. We ended the series here. The most straightforward of them all, but a great postbox nearby!
Thanks for the fun, CacheQLD.

#2331 - Commuting to the Qld Mega every day with gcraider. Having finished all the Lab Caches and attended a few interesting seminars it's now time to explore further afield.
We have solved all the "Horse" puzzle caches and will attempt to find a few in between showers if we can help it. On the way we pick up a few trads as well.
Apologies for the generic logs on these, but during a Mega there generally isn't enough time to write essays..... Finding caches and having fun is our main aim.

I found this cache as part of the Dayboro Mega Event. This is the 6th letterbox cache we have found. We found the cache container but we're confused because there is no outer letterbox. Was there one here and it has been taken? We have 5 letter stamps but not quite sure what to do.
The end of the postman cache series. No clue what the letters are for though! They don't seem to make any words. Thanks for the cache

Finally, a real geocaching mission with an airplane flight, nights away, so many caches on the list and a road trip home! Flew up from CBR on 1 April with TikvaNZ to join Fox in Jox for a 5 day full-on mission centred around attending the Dayboro Mega event. Plan is to cache in around BNE, targeting old caches, virtuals, LBHs, Wherigos, DT combinations and anything else that takes our fancy and then start heading home Monday via as many counties as we can squeeze in. We have so many caches on the list we are unlikely to get them all, but we will try our best! Don’t care if it rains or snows - QLD here we come!

Just picking up some caches for the afternoon while attending the Dayboro mega. TFTC.
On a dismal and wet afternoon we worked out a caching run with ilook4geo which included a mix of traditional, challenge and puzzle caches. All containers were OK and each log was dry. Sometimes full caching names were used and sometimes it was just initials. Thanks go to the CO for placing this cache, which was a pleasure to find.
Aww bittersweet we’ve come to the end of the road, still I can’t let go ??... but I digress. Another quick easy find. Not sure what to do with the letters but we grabbed them anyway! Thanks for a fun series ????????????
