A lovely quick stealth find. Great sculpture and good spot for stop on a road trip from Invercargill to Lake Tekapo. A quick find and back to my car to fill in log. Then had to wait a bit to replace as a very high traffic area. TFTC!

Day 4: The Road to Balclutha Todays agenda was to get down to Balclutha where we are staying on the way to the Catlins. The route on the beautiful day took us through the beautiful Central Otago and Teviot regions, where we took in the landscapes and found quite a few caches along the way. It was a long drive but we really enjoyed the little highlights along the way thanks to the ALs and caches placed by everyone. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache: A very nice cache here, and props for coming up with the clever name. I had figured out what to do here soon enough, and impressed my family by plucking the cache from its hide. There were all very amused indeed. Thanks for showing us this sculpture and the mural around the corner. It was yet another gem on our journey. TFTC!

TFTC!! Brilliant! Thanks

31-Oct-23
MrMagoo72 and I have looked for this one a number of times on our way through, but always left disappointed. It is impossible to look when the cafe across the road is open, as there are too many muggles' eyes about. But this evening we were passing by quite late in the day, and cones had been placed closing off this side of the road to traffic, so it was the ideal time to look. After a careful read of the hint, we finally came up with the cache this time. Very happy to have a smiley face of this one at last. TFTC.

31-Oct-23
I'm sure MacBayMeri and I will be stopped here again in the future, but we no longer have to look for this cache, as we finally found it last! TFTC.

19-Sep-23
Great hide in a quaint little town.

06-Aug-23
Stopped in Roxburgh enroute from Invercargill to Alex. Enjoyed the brief walk around and and particularly enjoyed this cache. Plenty muggles using the nearby conveniences but they didn't hinder my cache retrieving and logging. The sculpture is very cool. Thanks for the cache. A FP.

We are on holiday from California, mostly traveling by campervan on the South Island. Today we are on our way from an overnight stay near Alexandra at a winery to Dunedin. Had a nice walk around town and then stopped here. First tried to make this one even more difficult — read the info!! Once I did, Mrs. WERDAVE went right to the spot. Thanks for the fun.

A surprisingly quick easy find at an interesting feature at a convenient location. TFTC

03-Nov-22
A quick find after reading the hint. We were lucky it’s a quiet Thursday in Roxburgh. We were out doing the Wherigo that took us by the medical centre so decided to get our covid boosters and so we are taking our time around town getting caches etc. Thanks for the placement.

01-Nov-22
Visiting from Canada. This was a rest stop for our bus. I was glad to see that I could grab a cache at the same time. A little tricky to find but follow the clue. Merci TFTC

Too many strange looks to continue

Back on the mainland after an awesome 3 weeks tramping around Stewart island ..
Heading home with a few stops along the way...
Been a bit of a long day working up to this milestone...only had 20 to get but when your heads not in the game it makes for slow going....I had eyes this one up the last time I went through and thought I knew where it would be but after a thorough fruitless search I came up empty handed...determined to find it I eliminated more places until bingo...very well deserving of a fav..for the milestone and the cache..#7000...managed to scratch my name on the log with a pen that didnt want to cooperate..tftc

07-Apr-22
Well named cache, tricky little fellow. TFTC

04-Mar-22
Had a lovely meal at the tavern and were making our way back to the motel when this little beauty turned up invitingly. Looked in the obvious places and then again after reading some of the logs. I swear it wasn’t there the first or second time I looked but then in the third attempt there it was! This can not be explained by science but a find is a find. TFTC on such an interesting piece of art.

22-Feb-22

Popping thru to Queenstown for the weekend and stopped for a break in Roxburgh. Was within 30m of this cache so thought I’d better have a look. Didn’t take too long to track down this well hidden cache. Favourite point from me.
Thanks for the cache, Natalie247

On a day trip with MMC78, this was Conveniently placed right beside the little boys room I needed to visit.
Quick picking this one, up the road a bit further we got some fresh pickings, wonder how many will make it home alive...

17-Nov-21
13. Got in just before a rush for the toilets.

05-Nov-21
I guess this is found as intended.
On the way to Queenstown we stopped here for a quick break and stretch. Naturally I started up my GPS to see if I could get in a sneaky cache. And voila, a very sneaky one just two meters next to where I was standing! Spotting was easy, retrieving, signing and replacing though... Stealth was the tricky bit in this operation! But I got there!

Thanks for the fun cache, Natalie247!

A busy day just got a whole lot busier when I got the call to run up to Fruitlands with a tractor
But I have got this and this , that to do , but when the big boss asks as the customer has had a break down . I checked over the replacement and loaded up , and a drop or too of fuel won't go a miss , we'll ot will stop a lot of pushing on the way home .
And we'll we needed to stop here so why not pick this one .

Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching.

Life is short. Live one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!!
Thanks for the hide

Located with Ricardinho

Back on the mainland & we are on the downhill stretch of our South Island roadie. On the agenda today was travelling from Invers to Gore, then on to Alexandra for the night. We made a small detour to Edendale, so I could see the fields of flowering Tulips ⚘ A highlight for me An adventure lab in the beautiful Queens Park & a delicious lunch at the Rustic Cafe & Restaurant in Gore were also highlights of our travels today.

A quick find here for us & there is some great street art close by that I had to snap a pic of

Second last find of the day. We had a brief stop here and wouldn’t you know it, there is a cache 5 metres from where we parked. A quick find here. I could actually see it (just) so have replaced a little more inconspicuously. TFTC Natalie247.

Geocaching allowed in Level 2

18-Aug-21
As the country enters Level 4 (lockdown), https://covid19.govt.nz

It is strongly recommend that whilst we go for a walk for exercise, we need to take care on shared surfaces and geocaching should not be done at this time; https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/New+Zealand

To remove temptation, I am disabling this cache and ask kindly that you do not find this cache during lockdown.

Remember there is more than physically finding a cache, there are plenty of puzzle caches you can do at home. Or if you live near a multi you can walk the trail and save the find for another day. For more info or connect with wider community see Geocaching New Zealand on Facebook.

Stay home, stay safe and save lives.
