Logs
Came out here previously on my own and had to put this one on the list to attend with the agile SCAHPA. So we found today and signed the log. TFTC
The cache was spotted on approaching the GZ, and yes, I needed knee and shoulder of hubby to get started. We signed the log, put it back and walked over to the next cache.Tftc Gcoven
Having walked from the nearby Fire Trail caches, I was determined to get 2 it & sign the log...& I did...T4TC:-)
Sneaky little find that requires a little extra effort and energy to collect.
Thanks for the cache

Another day geocaching with the Geo Five group of RoddyC hatzofff Imbunda and grannysmith1947 this time in another area of the Northside.
A lovely park and and located the cache so it was GS1947 who made the climb with a boost up by her friends. Was able to sign the log then try to make a graceful dismount.

Today I was caching with geo-friends and we had to change to Geo5 as 1 team member had to do grand parenting duties, RoddyC, Hatzofff, Patrol14, GrannySmith1947 and me. Arrived at GZ and spotted the cache, it was soon spotted then grannysmith1947 went up and bought to the ground, log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
Today we continue on the North side to an area that needs some smiles. With one member on grand mother duties we were out with the Geo Five, RoddyC, hatzofff, Imbunda, Patrol14, grannysmith1947.
A little help from friends.

Used a step-up tool, but a ladder would have been better. For us.

Headed out early on Sunday morning to grab some caches to work towards the gold souvenir for 100 finds this month.
Headed over to GZ with my trusty TOTT. Which made this an easy get. Dropped the log as the plastic bag it was in had no top or bottom. Back down to get the log back up and replaced without the broken bag.
Nice area.

Gcoven I found your cache Barker Street Reserve on 5/4/2023, 1:55 pm. This is my find 4953 and find # 11 today. Easy find, now how to get to it. Got the right TOTT in the ute. Used the ladder and soon had cache in hand. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Stopped off on my way past. Really should have read the description first! Luckily all those years climbing trees as a kid payed off and I was able to quickly retrieve the cache. Thanks!
An even on Christmas day followed by some caches in the area.
Easy for some of us
Find number 28388 for me.
Thank you Gcoven for hiding this geocache.

Came prepared with the appropriate TOTT which made things easy. Spotted the cache, deployed the TOTT and logged and replaced in a jiffy. Thanks Gcoven
Glad we carry this particular tott with us as it came in very handy in retrieving the cache. TFTC
I came here just to have a look and see if i could climb and did not expect to find today. I decided to have a go and climb with no luck. I should just keep my ladder in the car at all times. Then i remembered i had my bike on the back of my car (as i park and ride to work )which makes a great ladder . so off i went to get my bike and wedged it in nicely. Just as i grabbed the branch to lift myself up i saw a great big hairy caterpillar and it gave me a fright and i slipped just a bit but knocked my knee hard in the process. I watched the caterpillar wriggle down the tree then up i went again. This time all good and i reached the cache with no further injuries. I love a tree climb and this was a fun one. My knee is only just a little sore and will not stop me from another climb. Thanks for all the fun
Our original plans for today got cancelled so we decided to add a few meters towards the "200 meter vertical challenge".
Completed with my partner who is an arborist and my mum who is over from the UK, JackieLH
Quick find. Both Pete and me got our buttons up . No ladder or climbing gear needed. No leg up needed either

I quickly spotted it but my upper body strength is lacking. I eventually made it up and back down. Thanks for the cache
I do enjoy a tree climb. Unfortunately no ladder and I was solo today. Got there with the help of the nearby tree, climbed, opened the cache container…only to drop the lid . Signed log, descended, found the black lid hiding in the grass. Back up the tree, replaced lid. Done. Probably got scratches and scrapes on hands, arms & legs, but got the smiley, so it was worth it TFTC
Out cleaning up some caches around home before I pickup my kids.
Quick find had to wait for a muggle to go behind some trees, so I could climb the tree and sign the log.

Out finding a few caches with Mr CuriousQuest. Next, we headed to this cache. It was quickly spotted. My caching buddy did the honours and our names were soon added to the log. TFTC
Out today finding a few caches with Selva Girls. A nice quick find.Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
First cache find for a long time! Coordinates took me straight there, and with a bit of effort, retrieved the cache. TFTC!
Out for the day with PirateLinda, Catboy67 and Tangothief… with a ladder in the car and a teenager with no sense of fear we are targeting tree climbs… not the sort that require ropes (much to the teenager’s disappointment) just the ones that require balance, strength and the ability to lift your own body weight…
Tangothief spotted this cache, I cleared the spiders and Catboy67 did the climbing… PirateLinda, the finding of the shade…

Found with Peppa, Catboy67 and Tangothief.
With a day of tree climbing Catboy was very happy in deed. Tangothief spotted this one and Catboy did the retrieving.
As Peppa says in his log - someone has to be the responsible one and seek out the shade in case it is needed in a hurry by the other team members.
Thanks for the cache.

Today, with family plans in the late afternoon, I thought I would make my way north-west to Draper followed by Warner, targeting a few of the tree-fishing caches. With the summer heat, I didn't want to venture too far from the vehicle's air-conditioning, and having fun with the TOTT made it an enjoyable outing. I also learned the history of Eatons Crossing; and an experience of that letterbox hybrid cache that I won't forget in a hurry!
I noted the Terrain rating of this geocache before departing my car, and wondered if I should haul my ladder TOTT with me, or just try my luck. After reading a few past logs and noting that the majority of those visitors went TOTT-less, I thus thought that I would scope out the site first.
Upon arriving at GZ, I could see the cache, and the first step up was deceptively harder than what I thought. Consequently, using my upper body strength, I ascended up to make this a nice scurry up. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Gcoven for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Time for us to take our caching up a gear, we've been a little slack of late.
A country run sounded like a plan so we set our sights just south of Dayboro & picked up a few other caches on our run northwest.
Mrs VC plots our course & I just follow her instructions, drive to the target area then go grab a smilie (I hope) so I was unaware this was a tree climb until I wandered over to GZ.
Hmmm?[?]
It's just me, no ladder, no leg up & 'still restrictive' climbing abilities so what to do?[?]
I cast an eye about the immediate area taking in my situation & spotted something that may well be my saviour here.
Making a few 'adjustments I soon surprised myself & managed to haul my carcass up and into position.
I looked back to see if Mrs VC was watching from the distance but a large tree blocked my line of sight so I guessed not.
Turning back to the cache I made our mark, replaced as found &, rather nimbly for an old fella, regained ground level without mishap.
A quick clean up of the area & I was gone!

Not so sure l would describe it as a scurry up the tree. There was a fair bit of "push my butt up the tree" action happening It was a heap of fun though. Thank you so much
Back into a cache a day and this area is accessible to plunder . Glad I had a to scurry up the tree
I had no problem spotting the cache from below, but getting up there is another story, I had to assess the situation and figure out how the hell I'm going to get up there, it was a little tricky at first but I managed to haul my arse up to retrieve the cache.
Thanks for bringing me here today.

Now for getting down let go of the tree and thought I was closer to the ground then I was really miss judged that hit the ground and fell / rolled all was okay and on to the next one.
Thanks for the cache.

With lockdown over, Stephyy and I decided to get out of our respective houses and go grab a cache or two.
Stephyy did the akward climb here. I supported from below, participating by signing the log and handing it back. Coming down, Stephyy misjudged her landing, but successfully rolled out of it, Bear Grills style!
Thanks for the cache, Gcoven

After an afternoon snooze, this woke me up a bit! Tried the wrong way a few times before a new method wired. Thanks for that!
2nd stop for the afternoon with the family as the eldest daughter was bugging me for a tree climb. She sprang up the tree with ease and tossed the container down for us to sign. Now that she is back into caching and has a particular drive for tree climbs we should be able to knock off a tree climb challenge cache we live near pretty quickly. Thanks for bringing us here.
Today T-Tech and I headed out for a spot of tree fishing. On our way back home we decided to pick off a couple of random green boxes that looked lonely on my map.
After the slog up a hill we followed the arrow across to this one. T-Tech did the fetching. TFTC, Gcoven.

A bit of an awkward climb with not much to get started with, but where there's a will there's a way!

I saw these come out late in the night but I had already had my night caps so was unable to drive. With an early morning start booked in I thought maybe if they are still there in the morning I may have a chance. Upon waking I saw that they were still available so it was a drive past on my way to work this morning.
This one was a nice little walk into a large open park lands. I nice quick little climb and I had the cache in hand. The moment of truth was I still the first to find. I was greeted with a nice new blank page. With name in the log and returned as found I was off to see if I was lucky again on the other cache.
Thanks for placing this one here, a nice cache and a nice placement.
