Found this one on my cycling trip across the country. Always nice to get of the saddle for a bit.TFTC

Staying at manapouri for couple days, thought we would chase some caches. Couldnt log our find as log book very wet. Nice spot TFTC

Easy find, but log was totally mushy. Luckily we had some waterproof paper with us, so have put a replacement log in. Cache was full of water, tipped out & all good to go again until it can be checked. TFTC

Mr Curzzz left me to walk the trail up to the next possible parking spot. So I was on my own tackling the steep bank. Going up was ok, wobbled my way down. Oh the joys of getting old . Log was a soggy mess, but signed with a special pen ok. Had no replacements with me, sorry. TFTC

Weather report is no looking great for later today - so left early for a ride toward Manapouri and back. Ended up turning round at balloon loop road - so about 45 km return trip from the caravan.Trail was pretty quiet so made caching easy yay! Slight wee scramble TFTC

Visiting here from Adelaide (South Australia) for the 2nd time (because its just stunning here). Walked from the Control Gates along the Kepler down to the swing bridge, and then back along the bike trail, collecting caches along the way. A 23km walk with a stunning forest trail next to a beautiful clear river.Cache found and log signed.This one took us a while as our GZ was up a small gully, where we searched for 5mins for nought. We then rechecked the hint and found the cache instantly.

Cache was a quick find and I was able to sign the logbook but logbook is wet. I only put date and LW rather than the full lytteltonwitch

THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE TRICKY BUT A QWIK FIND.

A morning bike ride to collect the rest of the caches along the L2L. We started from the cache where we turned back last visit. Beautiful day and quite a few others on the trail- ebikes more often than not!

This was the first cache of thirteen! that i found today on my long walk down to rainbow reach and beyond and back.

Poor adulting skills saw me not downloading any of these offline before starting the walk this morning, so i was hopping around everywhere nearby when i discovered incredibly bad reception at gz.

Luckily something came through and the hint could be ascertained. Phew.

It was a short scramble then and the cache was quickly located. The logbook luckily was super dry hanging on a nearby stick, outside the cache.

Put it back in, but the ziplock's a bit damp, so i may have inadvertently started the wet process all over again. i would have waited around drying it, but it was overcast and not hot enough to do anything meaningful.

Put it back upside down to hopefully help future water issues.

Found on along our bike round trip from Te Anau. The LB is total wet. I removed it outside. Next cacher bring the new one, pls. TFTC

Quick find after being licked to death nearby by an energetic pup.

AliGle and I were doing a bit of a tour around the south of the South Island in a Jucy Camper over a few weeks. Today we spent the day in Te Anau, going out for a few walks and finding a few caches. Found this while checking out sections of the Lake to Lake trail. TFTC!

A beautiful walk along the riverside with Vistra. A quick climb up the bank and we soon had the cache in hand. Tftc

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we were parked up at the new NZMCA Manapouri camp site & were spending our time exploring the area, on foot & by bike … this is another cache found in the Lake2Lake Cache Series … this was an easy find, log completed & successfully returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,007 for us.

Heading to Te Anau for a couple of days picking up the new Lake2Lake caches along the way. A fair amount of walking to caches and return. Nice weather though and pup enjoying a good run This one the final find of the Lake2Lake. It proved the most difficult as GPS refused to settle. Clambered around for longer than necessary but spotted, thank goodness, I wasn't going to leave a DNF on the last! tftc Anne
