Checked this one today and definitely still in play but yes they have it blocked off to help with growing the grass. But spoke to the people there and they check that the cache is definitely still there but they are trying to get the grass to go after Brisbane festival
This has been checked on and still in place just fenced off atm will temporarily disable until we can confirm its open again
The orange guards say not accessible. Should be a temp archive on this! Thanks Dfc_jlk2019 and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! Will check this cache again when back working. Currently away for the long weekend
Found lots of rubbish and leaves. Thought I found it once. But no. Well try again another day.
With the Brisbane Festival going on, the gz was muggle packed! I'll be back tomorrow for this DNF.
This cache is definitely in play! Was check while attending a dinner nearby. Please note:- it is located underneath!
This cache is definitely in play but with the weekend in the area today this cache will stay disabled until after the weekend. HAPPY BRISBANE FESTIVAL!!
The owner maintenance log is for when you actually check on the cache. Given the number of DNFs a better course of action is to disable the cache until you check it.
We are in the area on Saturday night we will check to make sure it is still in play
Dfc_jlk2019 I didnt find your cache Brisbane Ferries Series - Southbank on 6/8/2024, 11:10AM. Spent half an hour searching but came up short.
came back to avenge a previous dnf not yet! maybe ill try at night when i can explore more.
Finally found it after using past logs (and some help from previous finders). A bit sad to have this one finally ticked off but so glad its done!! TFTC
Thanks to some older logs, I was able to retrieve this semi-subtly. Easier to pretend youre throwing up than tying your shoes at this spot TFTC
After a VERY long time and running into some fellow cachers, we finally found it in a bit of an unexpected spot. Take a dive perhaps? Thanks to LewisLookers for helping me out, and many many thanks to Dlc_jlk2019 for giving me a much needed nudge!!! TFTC!!
After 2 years of searching and trying we found it. The other find clues helped but finally I can be at peace. TFTC.
Holy moly what might usually be a straightforward hide, of course i had to make it epic. After weaving my way over here to selfie the nearby city sign.. (for the umpteenth time) I saw this newer trad here and thought, hhm. This is a super busy hide by day, so I might best be searching for it at night while here.So I set to with gusto.A long time later, with many a log having been read and more info gleaned, I was still struggling despite getting all touchy feely with everything within cooee.A last paf effort to the co saw a remarkably quick reply (thankyou!)So with a little more intel and a photo to help proceedings i made a quick find somewhere I embarrassingly hadn't searched yet. I blame gps. *shakes fist at the sky*Dang satellite gods messing with me again. Clearly. Thank you Dfc_jlk2019 for hiding a cache at this super busy daytime location and for helping this blind wombat.
Having looked for this before, with no success.... we extended the search, and read previous logs.
After a walk through the museum we visited this cache. Thank you for the cacheTeam sissifalke
Took a good five or ten minutes, but found it at the eleventh hour just before giving up to try another time.TFTC
Out for an evening with geo nephew, cause, why not. And of course caching ensued. Night cover helped to find this little rascal. Maybe sit down and lean backwards for this one..
Found this one in around 5 or 6 minutes! Based on previous logs i knew that it wouldnt be where i expected, so after a brief scan of the bench and surrounding areas i resorted to using the camera where i spotted something unusualAt first I thought it was rubbish but i reached in and made the find! Nice little hide, my 300th! TFTC
This cache has been checked on by a friend while we are away at the Mega in Canberra. Its definitely still there and in its original container and original log book.
Unfortunately, no find today. After around 20 minutes, we had to give up as muggles kept turning up so eventually we had to give in.
Greeting from beautiful British Columbia, Canada!!Off on another geocaching adventure with Alamogul, Karba1 and myself. We are starting in Australia and ending up in Tahiti caching along the way. Signed the log books with our names or initials Thanks to all of the COs for placing these caches for us to find and for adding to our fun day. Answers for virtual and earth caches will be sent by a member of our groupNo luck with this one
Very busy area on a Sunday afternoon. DNF in the time I allowed myself in the area I could get to.
In the city for the Mater International Fun Run so thought I would make a day of it and grab some Allans and the random cache.I found your cache, Brisbane Ferries Series - Southbank today. This is my 3010 find.Been here before looking for this one. There were so many people around at that time , I thought it was best to abort. Here again today for another go. Had to phone the CO for help and got it in the end.Dfc_jlk2019, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Checked this cache late last night on our way home from the event at Club Beenleigh. We are aware this location gets used for lots of festivals hosted by Brisbane City Council. But the original cache is still there and is still tucked away in its little hidey hole. If you need help with this cache please let us know but JLK can definitely confirm its still there.
I don't know how long you'll still be away. But this cache most certainly is AWOL.No luck today either.
Two in one night. Look where you dont expect it. Hard to see if you dont have a light. Love it
This morning I am walking along the river from Northshore to West End to get my step count up in preparation for an upcoming 3 day hike. 16 ks down and about 7ks to go. Walking post most of this series along the way.Third straight DNF on this series this morning. Maybe time to ignore these.
Found it hard to have a good look with so many muggles aroundwe hope to come back and have a better search later.
One day I'll get to retrieve this one. Today it was closed off to set up for the Brisbane Festival.
Couldnt possibly come to Brisbane and not have a DNF, right? No one around so able to have a good look but couldnt find it. Dirty knees and everything.
Brisbane festival is on right now. I suspect the cache is in a walled-off, ticketed area. Even if you could get in, it'd be hard not to get spotted by muggles or even the full-on seccie team.
Come back in a couple of weeks.
Come back in a couple of weeks.
Currently blocked off for a festival and unable to get near the seat due to fencing that has gone up
Check this cache while at lunch in between work shifts.
This cache is definitely still in play but is inside the area allocated to the soccer.

Apologies for the late log here (10.01.24) but I've had a busy time since getting back to the UK.No luck for me here today, but then there was A LOT of football going on, on the big screen, near by. This meant extra infrastructure was in the area and maybe that - or 8.2 million people around GZ - was the issue? Anyway, some you win...SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.
All quiet with muggles watching Channel 7 morning program coverage of World Cup fan area enabling us to enter the exclusion zone and do a repatriation with the cache amid Nigeria vs Australia fan cheers. TFTC!
I had a cache in mind to celebrate my 1000th cache and elina_maree was keen to join me. So a plan was made to visit Southbank in the school holidays. Our younger boys were also keen to come and so we met up near the playground. I had one more to find before the big one, and I had figured I could always use an nearby AdLab if I needed to, but we were both fairly determined to find this one if we could. So we set our stuff down on the seat and started looking around as discreetly as possible. We made declarations of being cold and sprawled ourselves out in the sun so we could get closer to the ground. Not sure what the other guy on our seat thought of us lying down and crawling around, but he ignored us and continued to be glued to his phone screen. Finally elina_maree caught a glimpse of it and then I was able to reach in and fish the cache out of it’s clever hiding spot. Thanks Dfc_jlk2019 for this cache that is so cleverly hidden from a million passing muggles.
Found with Brissy Cat & GeoM93 & elina_maree. Well hidden given the busy location. TFTC.
Yay! Yay! Yay! Found it. I spent ages here in March trying to inconspicuously find this cache while there were a truck load of muggles around. Of course, being school holidays, there were still a truckload of muggles today too but the difference was that a large group of them didn’t set up for a birthday party at the other end of the seat this time!! Found with Brissy Cat. Her 999th cache! My 704th!
Searched heaps and couldn’t find it, doesn’t mean it’s not there. Thanks anyway
Had a search all over late when there was no people and couldn’t find it. TFTC anyway
Not many muggles around today but too wet to have a real good look. So next time
Found today while in town seeing my family, was there with the Cache Owner doing a maintenance run.
Found with the geodaughter after we had dinner nearby. There were a thousand muggles doing their thing, but they were all minding their own business as we sussed out the area. It took a bit of hunting, but alas, we finally came up with the find!
Thanks for the cache and cheers from Browngang
