Staying at manapouri for couple days, thought we would chase some caches
After a night and morning of heavy rain it was time to get out of the caravan for a wander before we head off tomorrow.Conned hubby into dropping me off at the cycle trail junction on supply road so I could cache my way back.Quiet spot here.TFTC
Long weekend in Te Anau with AlpiSteve and after it finally stopped raining we went for a drive to Manapouri. Parked at the end of the road and then a lovely wee walk to find this cache TFTC Tuitigger Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. Cache was a quick find on my walk this morning. I am not sure if my photo shows the rainbow that was over the lake

Went to check this out. Got halfway back last August, when we had to walk through the trees. Today there was a good eight of sand to walk on.
Nice walk in a light breeze.
Added a ducky TB. Tftc

What a beautiful and peaceful spot this is. Little yellow butterflies flitting about everywhere by the seashore.I walked the bike down the path and parked it up at the seat. On the way collecting some ripe and tasty blackberries to snack on.Not opening up my phone to see how far away i was, i simply toddled on down to the end of the beach and started nosing around behind the rocks. Hhmm. How odd. Looked at the phone, had a laugh, and wandered back to the seat and the cache was found not long later. ??Then i sat and had myself a little piknik while gazing out at paradise.Having just passed a couple on the path before leaving the lake trail, i noticed daywalks autograph in the logbook. Hhmm i wonder. Sent off a message inquiring perhaps i'd just passed them, yes! Indeed it was them. They were cruising north collecting caches while i was meandering south doing the same. How amusing. Thanks Tuitigger for showing me this little patch of lakeside paradise with a geocache.
A handy sign on the bike trail - we left the bikes and popped down to this beautiful secluded beach and seat.
Is there anywhere more wondrous? In the sunshine this spot was just too beautiful for words. It didn't take us long to find the cache & then we had a little mooch around just enjoying this place. Thanks for placing this cache and bringing us here.
What a beautiful place. Visiting from Fruitland Washington USA and loving my adventure. Tftc.
Attempted but was getting too wet and did not have appropriate shoes today will return and find FNEC
Parked up and had thoughts at first to stroll along the shoreline...nup. so back up to the track and found a small walk down to the shore. Found easily good coords. Cache all good tftc
One of the reasons we like Geocaching such is finding magical hidden places such as this. Loved the view and so peaceful with no one else about. Quick find thanks to accurate coords
One of a few caches located today as we headed away from Manapouri in the direction of our next stop at Kingston. No reception at this point which didn’t help matters, but managed to pick it up within a minute or two. #4877. TFTC.
We were able to walk along the lake edge to retrieve this cache as the lake levels are very low at the moment. A quick find when we found GZ. TFTC
A lovely peaceful spot to sit and ponder. The sun came out but the mountains had cloud cover. Cache damp inside but the log book nice n dry. TFTC.
Oh I so have to bring my Muggle Hubby back here one evening. What a beautiful place. TFTC Fav point from me.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we were parked up at the new NZMCA Manapouri camp site & were spending our time exploring the area, on foot & by bike … we decided that we would bike the Lake2Lake Bike Trail from Manapouri to Te Anau … so this one was an easy find, log completed & successfully returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #1,984 for us.
Mopping up a few caches before I leave Te Anau.
I got my bike out to do this one now that the showers have relented.
Cheers for the cache.

Last cache today and quick find. Only trouble was 3 people watching the sunset. They moved on pretty quickly but were not very interested in what I was doing as it is near to where my bike would exit the beach.
