A nice quick find after a morning walk. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are off on a cruise around the south of the South. Great to be away. The day was fine, and sunny as we travelled south to Invercargill.Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
I went for the corner but that was too far. Wet box but a dry log. Walking the plank was fun, but I kept wondering if I would have felt as confident if it was half as wide!Thank you, Tuitigger
Finishing off our cycle ride caches, but we had time for a walk. Lovely weather for it today as well. Oh woe, we dropped the pen on the way - backed up to look carefully and there it was, not so far away! Cache is all good. TFTC
After a night and morning of heavy rain it was time to get out of the caravan for a wander before we head off tomorrow.Conned hubby into dropping me off at the cycle trail junction on supply road so I could cache my way back.Glad I dont have my bike today - might have got a bit muckyTFTC
This took me several minutes to find and I had given up and about to step back onto the planks when I glanced over and spotted it. What a pity that I had left my bag of swaps in the car as the container was larger than I was expecting
Drop the bike track side and came down for a look about, but know luck for me. - Bitsprayer
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.

We stopped at "Russell's seat" for a photo of the view back to Manapori township. Then a guy mucking about down the track got back on his ebike and went past. Turned out where he'd been was the track entrance. So we wandered down and walked the plank, then off the plank, and discovered that smallwombat had signed the log the same day. A message later... yes, smallwombat was that guy on the ebike... and we bumped into him later at the bookshop and had a chat. Nice to meet you in person, smallwombat!
Reading the description and the cache name, i was very curious what it was i would come across, half expecting some pirate themed area.
So when i did arrive at gz, i was very pleasantly surprised! I would have loved to explore the area further, but i'd left my rental bike at the signpost on the path and didn't have a lock, so after quickly finding and signing the generously sized cache, i scurried back to the path to continue my meanders.
Thanks so much Tuitigger for taking me down the garden path exploring somewhere new and cool!

We enjoyed walking the plank and were a little perplexed when our co-ords had us stopping in the middle of a boggy bit. Backtracked (about 8m for us) a bit to an area that fitted the hint and meant we could leave the planks without disappearing in the bog and cache was quickly found.
Avast me hearties. You let him get away. That was the best chance we have had in ages. ️️️️️
Thankfully I dont own a bike because I would definitely fall off the plank lol. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we were parked up at the new NZMCA Manapouri camp site & were spending our time exploring the area, on foot & by bike … we decided that we would bike the Lake2Lake Bike Trail from Manapouri to Te Anau … so this one was an easy find, tip-to down the wooden board-walk planks … log completed & successfully returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #1,985 for us.
Mopping up a few caches before I leave Te Anau.
I'm mighty glad I wasn't blindfolded and with a sword in my back.
Cheers for the cache.
