Couldn't find it after quite a while. A family who had found it previously tried to help, but it wasn't where they found it. So we gave up.
Took me a few seconds to figure it out and then when I got on the right angle I got there in the end.
Found safe with my kids. As they said, I know this place.we were here thanking our soldiers
Nice quick little find with Haz101We're on our way to the Country and Western Market in Heasville so decided to cache our way there
#20724 - 12:19:32 PM; In Melbourne for the International Lions Convention and with that event now finished, I set out this morning to collect caches in the last three Victorian LGAs on my "to do" list. After a find in Whitehorse last night, I managed finds in Maroondah and Yarra Ranges, plus another in Whitehorse on my mission this morning to complete the set, with five from five. All were located without too much trouble, log signed and replaced as found, including this one. Cache hides on artillery pieces generally do my head in and after seeing a smattering of DNFs amongst recent logs, I approached the task at hand with some trepidation. I needn't have worried though, as I managed a much quicker find than I would have expected on thsi one! TFTC iTEEM
I spent a while looking, couldn't find it despite the hunt. Might try again soon idk
Thanks for the cache it was sorta difficult but after like 10 minutes we found it. Not above axle tho
Cache not in its intended place. After a thorough search, the container was located in another location. Cache now reset correctly.
I looked every where and above the axil. Couldnt find because had to leave as we were busy.
A beautiful memorial. Lots of metal to look over but we finally were successful . TFTC
Our third and final hunt for the day led us to an intriguing location. The last time we encountered such a man-made device, my partner had a memorable mishap. She had been searching beneath it, forgetting what lay above her head. With a sudden surge of upward force, she inadvertently collided with it, producing a jarring noise. Despite her resilient nature, she survived the ordeal.Today, those memories resurfaced, and she vehemently swore to keep her distance from that contraption. However, curiosity got the better of her, and she cautiously approached it. Once again, we meticulously scoured the area, searching for the matching color, but our efforts proved futile until, suddenly, I spotted it. To my surprise, it wasn't the color I had anticipated. It turned out to be another cleverly designed miniature construction, strategically positioned. The cache was snug, secure, and drya remarkably safe spot for our find. Thanks once more for a day filled with adventure and discovery.
Very nice cache, fun to find in the dark
Plenty of space left on log
Loved the ingenuity of the magnet

Thanks for the cache iTEEM,
after a false start a couple of months ago, I had another try and found the prize .
I don't know if I have suddenly become more intelligent (doubtful) or lucky (most probably), but I think the secret to my success is Karma. I was on my way home from giving blood at Lilydale when I passed the memorial and it occured to me to look again.
We can only imagine the blood lost in conflict, the lessons learnt by those before us can only hope to find ways to get along with each other.
Well we can try anyway......
Regards from Victourer

Yayyyy, after a long string of DNF's....
Finally, we can check this little blighter off with a smilie face..
This cheeky little hide had 3 members of the Watties searching many times each in both the daytime and evening.
With thanks to Tim for a little extra help, we can sign this one off the list.
Thanks again iTEEM for another fun hide. You guys have some of the best and most well constructed originally designed caches in the area. Although simpler in design, still a great hide with a great historical significance.
LEST WE FORGET ️

Strolled down here after lunch. Took a lot longer than I had hoped, but my geo son was happy with his meringue from the bakery so I had time to be persistent. Just as we were discussing if we should admit defeat I decided to try one last thing. Bingo, there it was.
Thanks ITEEM, that was a fun and satisfying find.

I dread caches on guns, tanks, trains, tractors, the list goes on. I have spent many hours searching these objects and logging DNFs, when I know the cache is there. It must be my lucky day as I found this cache quickly, without resorting to the hint and without using any bad language. Too good!
Second time here, a few to many people around last time. Nice quick logbook signed & back in place, tftc
Finally found it! Looked for about half an hour earlier in the day! Got a hint from the co and came back and found it in 2 mins a few hours later!!!
Found with jojozepp!

Thanks iTEEM, another tricky find. I spent ages looking for this one and then BlueBM arrived and with little fuss quickly had the cache found.

Find #13248
Trying desperately to catch up on lons from the last couple of months.
SedgwickDave and I doing a bit of a training hike today in this area.
Another very well disguised container on what I must say is not my favourite thing to search for a cache on. I must have looked odd to passers by.
Massive thanks go to iTEEM for placing this one.
Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2023?*

A couple of days late for Remembrance Day, but lovely to see all the florally tributes in memoriam.
I don’t normally like this type of hide. But thankfully this one was a relatively quick find thanks to the rather helpful hint. Just waited for the traffic to disappear before reaching in.
Lest we forget.
Thanks for bringing me here by placing this cache, iTEEM

Pretty gardens here. Saw someone sitting on the seat, and though we would have to leave, but a quick look to see the cache was a bit further away and safe to look! We are never a fan of nanos on a cannon and have mixed results. But this one was a quick and easy one! Thanks
We were here today looking for a nearby puzzle and we dropped the kids here jokingly saying, you quickly find this one while we get the puzzle and come back.
Well we were back in a few minutes and there was no one to be seen ... oh there they are, in the park across the road. They had found it so the log was signed and a minute or 2 later a couple of kids started running over towards the cannon reciting the hint. Nice to meet you CharlieAlex2022 and thanks for the dinner location recommendation.
Thanks iTEEM for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Kids had this one in no time.. the lure of the nearby park enticed them to search fast.

Cannot repeat the words that may have been uttered when we realised where we were going to have to look. However, we must admit that the cache was found immediately. Thank you for this pleasant experience on a dreaded device.
I had a medical appointment and this was nice and close so we headed here to keep the streak going. Can't tell you what was said when we saw what we were going to have to search around/on. Papi4506 made short work of making this find, the log was signed and we were on our way again. Thanks for one of the easiest finds we have had on one of these.

*Cache find # 13268.*
I headed over this way to visit the parents but while I was over this way I had to find a few caches, this being one of them.
I am normally not a fan at all at trying to find a cache on these things even thought I seem to have found quite a few in my time and these things but this one wasn’t too bad at all.
**Thanks to iTEEM for placing this cache.**

I was at something at the community centre nearby and looked before the session and then after. I struggle with these one and normally feel self conscious if not with my geokids for these types of caches. Finally found it. All up probably took me around 5min
Out for a drive in the Mt Evelyn area with pinnacle333, we managed to find quite a few caches as we went.
My heart sank as I approached, but fortunately it was a quick find using the hint. Thanks iTEEM

Out for a drive in the Mt Evelyn area with echidna44. We searched high and low AND utilised the hint, but were still empty handed. Fortunately echidna44 was there otherwise we wouldn't have found it! Thanks iTEEM.
Very good cache! I think this is our first one for the year! A bit out of practice but we got there eventually. TFTC
Second go at finding this, thanks for the hot tip from geokid’s school teacher to help us.

Camping for an extended weekend at Kurth Kiln is now over so I set off home, but not before grabbing a cache for the day.
It wasn’t until arriving that I read things a little closer and realised this may not be the quick find I was looking for today. Luck was on my side however, as after the bus load of passengers disbursed, I made a reasonably quick find in the third spot I checked.
It was only later that I realised this was a cache OzHockeyChick and I had attempted from the road below one evening only to be thwarted by a photo shoot occurring at GZ.
Thanks iTEEM for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

These types of hides you either find it quickly or it takes way longer. Well for me it took awhile but eventually got it which brought a big grin to my face and sigh of relief. This particular object I noticed still had some moving parts which was nice.

I hate these hides as there are so many hiding places. The hint saved the day. Thanks iTEEM.
Great find! Super lovely location and great shops for coffee along the way....
