This is our first cache since arriving in Rockhampton. That should het another LGA ticked off. Thanks GreatWhiteNQ for the cache.
Found at 11:33 AM GAFF1.Wow - that was a tough one to extract. It was way down in a channel and had to use a piece of wire to help in the extraction.Replaced the container so that it was no longer sitting deep in the channel. Thanks to GreatWhiteNQ
Thanks for arranging this hide which we enjoyed finding while exploring this area.
Quick find thankyou. Bit tight to retrieve- needed a tool. Stubby fingers not really the go.
It didn't take me long to find this cache, however, what shocked me was that my phone said it was 58 ft away. Away. That's about 18 m off. I couldn't believe the GPS in my phone was that bad. Just the same. Thank you for placing it here.
On our way to Yeppoon for 12 days Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache GreatWhiteNQ.
After QOGM 2023 in Longreach, TBU went on a round trip via Mount Isa, Burketown, Karumba, Ravenshoe, Atherton Tablelands down to Innisfail to Townsville. Now we are heading towards South back home, still refreshing our memories and collecting smileys. It was a nice variety of hides and we bumped into couple of cachers on the way. Thanks for this cache, GreatWhiteNQ
After having spent couple of weeks up North in Queensland, we are now heading back home - but still looking for smileys! We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc
Passing through the area, after our trip to Cape York.A quick find here. Signed the log and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, GreatWhiteNQ, for us and others to find.
Find number 12430 at 1:07:09 pm on Friday the 8 September 2023
Departed Melbourne many weeks ago now and have been travelling north for the winter, well, for the northern warmth actually (hopefully ), passing through as many small towns as I can grabbing the odd cache here and there as I travel.
Finally made the northern warmth and the Cape and we have loved every minute of it now we are on our way home again and having many more adventures as we slowly travel south.
Today, we travelled from Mackay to Yeppoon (or Kinka Beach), a fairly long drive today but we broke it up with a few geocaches along the way.
A quick find on the road south
**Thanks for placing this cache GreatWhiteNQ**

We came to do this one after discovering that the one in Parkhurst may be missing.
GPS is a little out but not a lot of options to search.
A quick find with traffic buzzing past and oh look a silastic gun in good nick, mine now.
Buttons is happy that there is enough room to leave a button and does so.

A planned trip north with a mate and his family, sees us checking out some of our great countryside. We got in some camping and in some not so usual spots. It has been fun and the best part is I get to cache in places I do not usually get to visit.
Today it was free time looking around Rocky. Then I get a call you still in Rocky. It was Triple turmoil saying she was heading to Yeppoon. We meet up around late lunch time and got in some caching around Rocky and then into Yeppoon. Some dinner and then it was me back to my camp site. Another fun filled and extreme day of caching.
Easy grab here, thanks
Thanks for the cache and the hide, I signed the log and returned the cache as found. The hints on the caches are very helpful.

On a drive from Hervey bay to yeppoon for some R&R as only one piece of the triple turmoil. And now I have met up with Chamad, all the way from Brisbane.
Bribed the youngsters with promises of aircon and adventures, thanks for the find and the adventure
Another perfect day out caching with Jodsta83, this one was a race between me and the youngster. Jodsta83 found with me retreiving
With the mercury climbing I talked the gang into some caching, the bribe was the air con in the car. On arrival at GZ I spotted the hide and terranova17 went in for the grab. Tftc GreatWhiteNQ ️
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 119. Rockhampton to Yeppoon. It was a very shot day today, so I did the caches along the main road into Yeppoon, and then stopped for morning tea. I still had way too much time so went onto Emu Bay to get a Lab cache for the day. After setting up camp and rectifying some online issues, I went out for a few dusk caches near the area I am staying.
This is quite a big road with plenty of traffic. I saw the cache quickly, but struggled to get it out. Once I moved a bit, I managed the correct angle and had more luck.
Thanks for the cache GreatWhiteNQ

We decided to spend an extra night in Rocky and try our luck at the Cry series and then finish off the CQ Adventure before heading for a couple of earth caches in a bit of a loop and anything else that popped up on the screen.
We pulled up here thinking you beauty, this looks like it is going to be a very quick easy break in the drive but this was not to be. We spotted the cache straight away but mu sausage like fingers could do nothing else but just touch it. Diane came over do see why I was taking so long and she had a try with her girly hands and after a bit of effort had the cache in hand and we've happily added our name to the log and returned everything as it was.
Many thanks for a slightly longer than expected break in the drive.

A little scary to be so close to a busy road to be honest. But left a little something for the next person
Grabbed this one as we passed since it fills a gap in our month hidden calendar.

Not concentrating as we got near to this one, so ended up over shooting it and having to double back. Finding GZ was easy, retrieval challenging, but a slender stick helped and we were soon signing the log.
Day 2 and our final day in Rockhampton. We headed out on the caravan park side of the river. A few puzzles, some multis and traditionals. Got sidetracked at the shopping centre for quite a while, but the coffee was good. Another enjoyable day seeing the sites of town.
Thank you to all the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches for us to find.

Not successful this time but we’ll try again later. Pretty sure we know where it would be (from the hint) but the coordinates appeared to be off
Been doing a few chores in Rockhampton and on the way back to the beach remembered there was a new cache to have a look for
Quick find with Stunted nob
