As the littlest O has just discovered caching, he asked to get a cache or two after a nearby appointment. Off we set after finding an earlier one and while I had worked out where it was before we got there I let him make the quick find. He insisted on writing in the log and returned it before we headed home. TFTC
A quick grab and go while riding between jetties on our bikes! A lot harder pushing our bikes in to the strong head wind than it was recovering the cache it's windy out there today! We had no pen to sign the log, so took a little picture of our cache hunter with the log
I spent the day around the North Haven and Semaphore area grabbing some caches along the way. Perfect Spring sunny day to be out geocaching. All good here. Found without problems. Thank you doineedthis, for placing J.A.green.M.T for the geocaching community.# # #15289 # #
Thanks for my first find! Very clever. This is so cool. These are going to be fun. Cheers! Vinny from Semaphore, South Australia
Back into geocaching after a long break with geodaughter and Geograndson for his first geocache
Cache found on ground, with no log but with a stretchy toy. Put a piece of paper in and logged our find. Might want to check it's where you want it hidden. TFTC.
Found this on my way home after midnight. The log book is not present in the cache container.Hence no written evidence of my visit Needs owner maintenance.Filmore
13660 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1145, Today is the start of logging the last of the LGA's located in this part of SA. All good here. SL Tnx doineedthis.
Found under a tree opposite the coordinates,so stuck it back where we think it belongs. TFTC
TFTC! Quick park n grab after finding another cache in the area. Forgot to bring a pen, so we did a photo log instead
Stumbled upon this cache as I was just on a stroll. Looked down and there it was. No pencil on me so i couldn't sign the logbook. Have placed in a more hidden space in the exact same spot. TFTC
Despite it being fantastically hot, it's also cleared the area of most normal folk so I'm able to mostly search in peace. Nice easy find here with the car AC running and alongside.Keen to maintain my current SA streak (a modest 12 days but hey, happy with that). The nature of my work pattern today means a trip into work, back for some office type stuff, then back into work again later before some more office-based evening catch-ups. What this means is . . . . .having an hour or so to find some caches in the hottest part of the day! Just enough caches to round out the stats and clear a part of the gameboard North of me. Thanks to the COs, as ever.
Found with two amazing Canadian geocachers who were in Adelaide briefly to attend the mega "A Great Leap Forward".Located whilst in the area attending a post mega lunch event at the sea side. Thanks so much doineedthis for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
Over from Perth for a few days to attend the Leap Day Mega. After the big day yesterday, today's plan was to grab a few caches in Semaphore near the event, then take a slow drive back to the hotel via a select few caches, ad labs and LGAs. This was one that I stopped off at today while enjoying a nice walk to explore the area after the event. Just had to wait for a cyclist to very slowly crawl past and then I was able to retrieve and sign. They normally zoom everywhere! TFTC
#593 10:50 amWhile I was waiting around to attend the nnear by event as I was early I decided to get some caches. I had to time this one right before of the muggles. Thanks for placing this cache doineedthis
Day 7 in Australia and it is a day to explore Adelaide then we fly out to Hobart. . We are aiming for all the cool caches nearby as well as many different types. We have found the cachers around here super friendly and helpful. Thanks for the smile
???? Fount It ???? and another smiley to boot. Out caching with *Throsbyonchurch* and *Little Panther*. Log signed in some variation of LP TOC DJJ. Thanks for the cache **J.A.green.M.T**, *doineedthis*. ??DustyJaperJet ??
Found ?? 5:35pmAll good here. TFTC *doineedthis*DAY 1*Little Panther* and I were out of bed at 2:30 am after having very little sleep. We arrived at the railway station at 3:30 am to catch the train, arriving at Sydney Airport at 6:00 am. Now for the pressure cooker bit, working out what we needed to do, and where we needed to go. Fortunately we managed to navigate our way to our seats. Arriving in Adelaide at 10am the pressure was on as we again navigated our way to collect our bags and locate the shuttle bus to go and collect our hire car.Settling into our car I discovered the GPS I brought was not working - grrr. To Waze we go I guess. Northward bound up the motorway and out of Adelaide, I was not excited about the countryside, it was not wat I expected, and I quickly decided I didn't really like Adelaide much. We headed to the *Barossa Reservoir* and the *Whispering Wall*, a place I had not been since I was 10. On arrival it was closed - No way !?! grrr !! Not happy Jan !! Can't do much about it, so we headed off to *Tanunda* and *Nuriootpa*. They were also not what I was expecting. But its been so long. I was amazed seeing just how big the wine region is here with grapes galore. I just wanted to come for a look for old time sake, so we didn't do much. With hands full of lollies and ice cream - the best ice cream I've ever tasted I might add [I love ice cream] - we headed down to *Hahndorf* to book into our accommodation. Dinner at Haus was a delicious crispy Vienna Schnitzel and Sauerkraut.DAY 2Off to the ***The Great Leap Forward Mega Event 2024*** at *Woodville South*. We arrived and signed the log book, enjoyed the fun gadget caches, a coffee, sausage sandwich, and chatted to two Canberra Cachers and one of our home local cachers who we haven't seen over a year. Oh, and bought some coins and other merchandise from the geocaching stall. Following on from that we went out caching and clocked up quite a few finds over the afternoon. *Little Panther* did a great job choosing the caches and navigating us to them. We couldn't possibly come to another state and not visit the beach. Some beach caches were very much enjoyed. Dinner was *Da Mario Pizzeria, Athelstone* - a nice crispy half and half 'Chicken and Chips' and 'Garlic Prawns' pizza. Then back to *Hahndorf* for a big sleep.DAY 3A late start to the day saw a cache find nearby, a visit to the Hahndorf Bakery for lots of *Bee Sting* to fly back with us to Sydney [we spent a small fortune here], and another run out to the *Whispering Wall*. Woo hoo, it was open !! I rang SA Water yesterday to ask about it. Thanks for not returning my phone call as you said you would, SA Water. Nevertheless it is open. The last time I came here I wasn't able to do the wall walk. My sister had a fear of heights and I had a fear of water. Today I have overcome my fear and walked the wall alone. I've been working hard on overcoming this fear. Next stop was the Rocking Horse at Gumeracha. I saw family photos of it, but have never been, so this was a must stop. Terrific souvenir shop. We went to the top of the horse and made some fairy floss before leaving. Some more caches were found before we returned our hire car, caught the shuttle bus to the airport, and flew back to Sydney.
Arrived in Adelaide with tmann421 to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega Event. The aim of the first couple of days was to get as many Multi caches as possible and anything else that got in the way. Thanks to the cache owners for their placementsSigned logs tm/ww NZ
