Made quick work of this out of the way random cache!! But thats what makes this game fun!! TFTC!!
Looks like another small tree has fallen over this one. I will have to go back with a saw and clean it up.
Maybe the title was a warning from the locals to travellers at the time, letting them know they weren't welcome around these here part's of town? Anyway, didn't want to find out, so signed the log and got outta there post haste.
Mrs Riddell happened to be a Maryborough based there involved in a midweek 3 day Bushwalking Basecamp.. nice and cushy!!!However she was a bit off colour today which gave the perfect excuse to spend the last day geocaching. Thanks to Chook n Chuck for bringing us to this spot and placing this nicely hidden cache to find.TFTC and the background here.
Out giving the car a drive, why not do some caching on the way. Nice easy find for S. TSLS TFTC
Thanks for the quick find with Lonely RA day of caching while visting Victoria. From NSW
Next stop on my day trip run up to Redbank, taking in some of the back roads. Very quiet out this way and the cache was soon in hand the log signed. Thanks for this one chooknchunk....
Geoturtle 37, OzHockeyChick and I set off from camp this morning to head to the Posums birthday bash. OHC has gone on ahead as she has found all the caches for some distance but as we have a little time, we are taking the scenic route, guided by caches not yet found. We were both very curious about the name of this cache and happy to learn what it meant. Thanks for bringing us out here with this cache.
On the way home from the VIC Rogaine Event. In Dunolly. Great weekend. Great Place. So much history with more to learn. Thanks to the cache owner.
After packing up camp in StArnaud we hit the road heading for Avoca on a detour way home.
Ghihash hadn’t been to Avoca before so we drove around and collected all the caches and the couple I was missing after my last trip.
This silo was complete on this trip and was amazing to see.
This was another on my todo list for this caching trip. Unfortunately we didn’t see any gold but
Did lingered for a bit to enjoy the beautiful gold Canola fields and then made our way home.
Big 3days away with 71 caches for our trip

Grabbed a terrific coffee this morning in Avoca and loved the drive through fantastic looking countryside. The view of the mountains to the west is very tempting but i must get home this evening so need to head in the other direction unfortunately.
In Avoca briefly this afternoon, I had 20 minutes to spare before needing to be back in Maryborough for school pick up. A quick check of the app showed me this one unfound. Yay!
A beautiful drive out here and a quick find meant Sammy the geopup had a chance for a run around and explore as well. TFTC chooknchunk

Headed out the dusty road for another good hide. All is in good condition and took the tb that was in there to further his adventures as I have quite a few planned with kenare. Tftc
A detour on our way home - so good to get off the highway for awhile - so many gravel trucks. Found the cache ok , good co ords thanks chooknchunk.
TFTC. Decided to take a drive out to Avoca to attempt the couple of caches that we had not previously found. Went out before it got to hot. This one took a lot longer to find than was required. But find it we did.
Snug little hide. 34° today so quickly back to the air-conditioning. Left a NT trackable.
Spending our first Christmas together with AlexiKatty trying to stay on target for my milestone for the Wangaratta mega in January. It's a nice day and beautiful to be out hear on this sunny day. Very happy to add this smile to my map.

What a slow trip. Sheep go about 1km/hr while being transported between paddocks.
Thank you to Chooknchunk for this cache.
What a lovely drive out of town and we enjoyed seeing the paddocks and the bushland.
The cache was in very good condtion and we appreciate the opportunity to visit this spot.
It was time to head south towards home, a couple more stops along the way had been planned.
Suscoe decided to have a day out in the Avoca area and so we headed off this morning for the drive.
The rain had stopped but we saw the evidence of the rain and the wind as we travelled towards the Ballarat area. We were glad that the roads had been cleared of some quite large trees.
Last night we had checked the rain fall totals for the Avoca / Maryborough area and the totals were surprisingly low so we were confident that the tracks and roads that we were going to use would probably be ok and they were. In fact looking around the Avoca and Percydale areas really gave a false impression about what had happened around the state east of here.
It was a delightful day for caching with mainly sunny skies up until late afternoon for our trip home. We enjoyed seeing the various locations and hides.

Heading homeward, after a great weekend, in and around Avoca. We couldn't linger any longer! With caravan in tow, fortunately there was enough space near GZ for a 3 or maybe 4 point turn!!!
Our thanks to chooknchunk for placing such interesting caches on the gameboard.

Travelled out to Avoca to join in the celebration events and explore an area I’ve not been to before.
Final cache for the day. I was heading back to town to join some others for dinner but OzHockeyChick was heading home so we journeyed out to this one in the dark. No lingering out here on this dark, cold and foggy night.
Thanks chooknchunk for one of the newest pieces to the geocaching puzzle.

Another camping weekend getaway, this time to explore Avoca and surrounds.
With camp all packed up, and the sun already set, this was the last one for today. Now it’s time to head back home. So no lingering around here.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, chooknchunk

After a good weekend in Avoca and the surroundings enjoying the company of other Geocachers and, of course, finding quite a few caches, we headed home to the Bellarine Peninsula. It was a lovely crisp clear morning for the second morning in a row, and it boded well for caching. This is a nice new cache just near Avoca and down one of the many quiet country lanes. We took the opportunity to let the geodogs out to stretch their legs before being in the geomobile for a few hours. We made a quick find here and added our name to a reasonably long list of cachers that have made the trip out here in the last few days. The cache was in immaculate condition. Thank you for the cache chooknchunk.
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks chooknchunk (F=6765 H=158) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Well this is a happy title for a cache! LOL Interesting to read about why it may be called this.
Some R&R was definitely needed, so I made the trek to Avoca, with a couple of events, a handful of caches and some adventure labs it was a great way to get outside and soak up some fresh air and vitamin D (despite the chill factor).
Found with the lovely micaparamedic.
Thanks chooknchunk for placing this cache in an area I knew nothing about previously.

In the area today with Wozzle 68 doing a bit of a tour around Avoca after the Community Celebration Event. We made our way to this one on our way home to
Ballarat as it was the last one in the area to find. After a bit of "Wozzle Navigation" we finally found the right road to be on and made the find. Thanks for placing.

Caching with Glanville Girls after the event in Avoca we decided to make this our last on the way home. Some would have you believe that my navigation skills leave something to be desired. But ofcourse I was taking the scenic and less traveled path in that is untill the desired road tured to S**t and the scenic way became the long way ;p
We decided not to hang around after signing the log, just in-case. thank you for the cache chooknchunk

Found by Mary and David at 13:20. Little lambs, still with their tails, frolicked nearby, and the sounds of contented mama sheep added to the country atmosphere. Lovely trees, green grass, warm sunshine and a cache - does it get any better? When M first saw the name, she was sure it was another cemetery. Not too disappointed, as you have done more great research, so another FP. You wouldn't want to have been a superstitious miner back then. Our thanks to chooknchunk.
Found on the way home from the event.
A nice drive out to here and all quiet at GZ.
Can imagine all the mining going on here.
Thanks for the hide.

We found this one on dusk and it was a stunning drive. We had a few families of kangaroos and saw two babies!! Husband made a 'dad joke' about wooly jumpers (sheep and kangaroos were passed on the way in) and then we found the cache. Thanks for this one!
Find No. 3305. Found with FUF009 at 5.15pm.
An evening event in Avoca, so we both rode our pushbikes down. FUF009 drove our van down so we could take the bicycles home. We left home at 1.45pm and arrived in Avoca at 4.15pm. After a cuppa and a bite to eat, we then got changed out of our bicycle riding gear. Seeing how we still had plenty of time before the event started, we went and found three caches around the area and this was the third one we found.
A short drive out the road to locate this one where cache was found quickly, log signed and back into Avoca we went to attend an event.

Find # 9671
Found with Tyred n Cranky
After Tyred n Cranky both made it to Avoca on the bike.
And then got changed, we decided to kill some time before the event and go find a couple of the new caches.
We decided to take on the back road in the van, up to GZ. Happy to say we did make it up and back with no dramas. And cache was a quick grab at GZ.

Quick find tonight as we headed to Avoca for an event. It was almost dusk so the jumping kangaroos made me hightail it out and back tot he main road. Thanks for the cache - great little spot here.
[JFTF] With au.fait as we had settled into getting dinner when these guys were published so we dropped everything and headed out into the chilly evening air.
A nice easy find and then onto the next. Thanks chooknchunk for placing.
