Its a decent drive out to Imbil, but an enjoyable one. We love the Mary Valley! When the rail trail had just been developed, I remember posting about it in the local FB caching group to see if anyone was interested in putting caches out along it. At the time I thought surely Sweet-Sour would. Big thank you Spiderwebbs for creating them, and now to JD for taking it on and adding another dimension. Although I thought there might be some relics along the way, the garden benches are a nice touch, and we had a great morning out walking from town to town and back. Nice hide here. Found quickly while the hub did muggle patrol.

We love the bell bird sounds as we approached GZ and also found an ancient passion fruit vine/tree that was amassed with fruit. TFTC
Heading to the Mary Valley Rail Trail to do some birding and thought I might clean up part of this series whilst I was here. For the most part this series was a series of quick and easy finds, as well as some great bird sightings. Loved the informative sign on the Bell Miners, though it is a shame some slob has graffitied it . The Bell Miners were tricky little buggers to pinpoint and spot, even though I could hear them everywhere. Even harder to photograph. Luckily I managed to get one good photo of one of those dear birds. Thanks for the fun series spiderwebbs4.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Spider Webbs 4 [^]
Hi there spiderwebbs4, we found your cache Bellbird Park - Mary Valley Rail Trail #7 today. Today is Day One of our lets introduce some newbies to our hobby. Were camping at Kenilworth Showground and plan to find as many non premium caches as we can over the next few days. Thank you for a nice quick find here. Now back to the car for a cold drink. Were thoroughly enjoying our jaunt around the countryside today, & so far weve found quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
Saw a carpet python on the path near this cache ! Easy find. Log in good condition.
Today we have come to Imbil to buy a book about Imbil locals. 40 locals have been interviewed and their history provides a snapshot of Imbil today. Obviously caching is on as well!Good to know theres a rest area here. Thanks spiderwebbs4 for creating, placing and maintaining this cache.
Teamed up with Sunseeker Wanderers today for a wander along the Mary Valley Rail Trail. Left the car at Brooloo and walked to Imbil collecting everything second cache on the way. Had a very enjoyable lunch at the pub then walked back to Brooloo picking up the remaining caches.
It was a great day and most of the caches were easy to find.
Thanks to all the COs who created this great trail.

After Duppers Magic Maker event, I planned to go up the bluff with those who were going. I use the “planned” word very loosely as I didn’t plan very well. After a few slips and slides due to wearing the wrong shoes, I decided to bail. Now since I had car pooled here with Duppers, I was stuck in the area for the day. I headed back to the car to cache locally while I wait, and I knew it was going to be a long wait.
When I got back to the car parking area, Davidwazza was just pulling out as he wasn’t going up this time around. He asked if I wanted to come along with him so I jumped at the chance. It’s always better to cache with friends. (Thanks David.)

I had scoped out this area yesterday and considered to throw in my bicycle to ride this Mary Valley Rail Trail properly, but instead, we decided to "run" this trail by continuing to reposition the vehicle, and walk from different entry points. I look forward to seeing if this trail can be extended, and will then definitely return with my bike!
We arrived and after searching around, we made a quick find of the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks spiderwebbs4 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today, a planned *Maker Magic* event on the top of Kenilworth Bluff had me make a trip north. When I completed this hike one year ago, I hadn't prepared for the walk to take the full day, and missed out checking other vicinity highlights. Following the event, [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PRJ8B31) and I took a drive north-west through Brooloo and Imbil, and we scoped out the Mary Valley Rail Trail, and the forestry area to the south-west. Those 4WD tracks didn't pose any concerns and were in good condition.
For lunch, [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PRJ8B31) and I returned to Kenilworth where we had lunch at the infamous bakery, and we ran into [Peppa](https://coord.info/PRAXNZZ) who had returned from the hike. We completed the finding of geocaches around town, and I then took off towards Mapleton, stopping off at Mapleton Falls National Park for a short walk. As time continued to get away from me, I was able to make a few final stops in Nambour, and then took the drive home fighting congestion on the M1 highway.
I also commenced/completed two Adventure Labs:
• [Not Too Shabby.](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/ead46a00-3de3-48be-97ed-2033deff279b); and
• [A wander around Kenilworth](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/703debde-f896-446d-ad5a-748aee0abcf7).

Two TASSIES out and about for a 10 week stint, including the Gympie Muster, so after a mammoth migration from Kilkivan, here we are in Imbil for three nights. Rain is here now, but the big tarp is up over our camp and we are snug enough. Taking a trip this arvo to Kenilworth and of course stopping where we can for in reach caches. This one was gettable, and there were workers doing maintenance on the railtrail nearby. TFTC spiderwebbs4
Found with goldielover and team herbz. Bit of a debate about who to sign log. Don't like writing names in these things.
Love the walk though.

Goldielover came up trumps with this one. We listened to the bell birds as we signed the log. TFTC.
The railtrail a good way to start the day , either to ride or walk. Today we are walking and picking up the cache series along the way. Today we signed in as B2. Thanks spiderwebbs4 for the caches.
Very quick find when you read the description fully. Really enjoyed stopping here to listen to the bellbirds. Beautiful! Tftc
a mighty nano this one. Easily found, logged "George M.' I think, and carefully managed to get the log small enough to get back in the container. Somewhere about 20 years ago, I was watching a car rally at this spot when one of the drivers 'lost it' and hit the post (about 300mm diameter) right where the nearby gate post is now, and sheared the post off at ground level. Nearby observers scattered in all directions and probably needed to change underwear. Aaah the memories! TFTC, spiderwebbs4. I shall have to return with the electric wheelie-walker and travel the whole trail collecting the other caches.
On our way to take friends out for lunch in Imbil but as we were early, geowife dropped us off to collect a few caches on the way and then moved the car down to Bellbird Park to pick us up. By the time we arrived at this one, geowife had already signed the log but didn't tell me until I had found it!! and then blow me, she had already done the next one. TFTC spiderwebbs4
Headed to Brooloo today to ride along this new rail trail to Imbil grabbing the caches along the way. All caches were found without trouble thanks to good coords and hints. It was nice to ride along listening to the bellbirds and speaking to a few locals too.

1:05:00 PM. Off the bikes for the gate and cache found. A pleasant ride to here and the beautiful sounds of the Bellbirds. On our return they were flying around all over the trail. Thanks for the cache spiderwebbs4
Easy find. Thank you spiderwebbs4 for adding to the appeal of this wonderful track by taking the time to create this series of geocaches. We thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them.
Having covered a couple of kilometres at a fairly decent pace for an old fella with a few replacement parts I was beginning to tire so I was happy to see Mrs VC waiting at another road/trail 'meeting of the ways'.
As I neared I was told that Mrs VC had found her second cache for today (this one) & that I could proceed to the next one which was as yet unfound.
I looked at my phone & was just ecstatic to see it was about 450 metres away.
I think this is going to kill me!
As I passed through the gate to begin the next leg I looked longingly back at the Geo-Beast, just about to depart & leave me abandoned, once more left to the wiles & perils of Mother Nature but then my phone caught my eye & I noticed what looked like a drivable trail running almost parallel with the rail-trail that would take us quite close to our next target.
Turning & waving frantically to Mrs VC I hoped she saw me in time not to drive away.
Yes!
The driver's window was going down.
I hobbled back to the Geo-Beast & outlined my plan then, as Mrs VC vacated the driver's seat, I slipped in & giving a sigh of relief turned 180 & headed bush.

FTF I really did enjoy the walk along the rail trail it was so peaceful and I heard the sounds from the Bellbirds as I walked along. I do love a power trail! We met Vegan Cachers at the start of the trail so decided to start from the other end and met up with Dennis somewhere in the middle hence we have some FTF and some 2TF. A very enjoyable morning out here and thank you to Spiderwebbs4 for all the caches along the way and the hints provided..
